    Plant, that is lovely.

6 weeks ago GD2 asked if I had an account with Amazon and could I order her something, she was going to pay! I did order something for her, she has been sending me messages asking me WHEN it would be delivered! I have been able to follow it, the last date for delivery was the 23rd, that was Saturday, no parcel arrived, I got in touch with Amazon through chat and he told me it would be delivered that day!! It wasn't, I got a mail saying if it didn't arrive before tomorrow I would get a full refund, I just got a message, the parcel has arrived at last and she is so pleased.

Amazon has only been here a few months really, if this is the service it won't last long!

That is certainly not my experience, they usually deliver really quickly.

I have ordered before in the UK and had them delivered to family etc. I think this because it was a "seller"! That is an expensive cover for Aliexpress!!!

Sunshine - what a good idea. I know both my GDs would enjoy that, either on their own or together.

Gem - my DS2 and DIL were saying this morning they're exhausted with home schooling, plus everything else they have to do, plus trying to get some 'normality' for the girls. They're lucky they're only a mile or so from the beach, so that helps, but the girls are missing their friends.

Plant - what a pretty sampler from Nana. Yes, stay safely at home today. Did SIL enjoy his birthday meal?

Oma - I hope you're taking things easy today and having a rest. Take care. xx

Avo - 17 weeks! That's gone by so quickly. Before you know it Bella will be a doggy-teenager. But definitely a great incentive to get out every day.

Lizzie - I'm sure you're right about it being a 'seller'. It isn't always obvious where the goods are coming from. I once waited ages for something not realising the seller was in America. I'm glad your GD's parcel has arrived eventually though.

Daisy, I realised after I had placed the order, never thinking it would take 6 weeks though! I ordered something from Ali the same day, it was here within 10 days.

My DS1 and DIL are both working from home and the girls with their home schooling, they are "lucky" in a way that the girls are old enough to follow their classes etc, DS2 has friends with a 3 year old girl and they are finding it really difficult working from home and keeping their daughter occupied.

I have Amazon Prime, I joined because I was using Amazon so much and that does speed up the delivery. I also watch films on Amazon Prime.

Lizzie, yes,I think it is easier with older children.

GS2 who is 16, is fairly independent and just gets on with it. Once the tech was sorted out GD1 works independently most of the time, but 7 year old GD2 needs much more input and guidance and both her mum and dad find it quite hard work.

Plant,I don’t know what the service is called, but my DS1 and family have an Amazon service that delivers some things within an hour!

Plant, the embroidery is very pretty, a lovely keepsake.
Sunshine, I often do a treasure hunt around the house when all 3 GC are here. The scavenger hunt is a good idea.

We spent some time doing Duelingo on GS's laptop. French, it was fun! We watched some TV together, but GS did end up with quite a bit of screen time. He had done most of his school work before he came and DD said he could have a free day. My knee was swollen and painful after two consecutive walk days, so we couldn't get out, even if the weather had been nicer.

Good morning, Nanto, and all who call in later. We definitely need spring in the air, don't we! Our excitement for today will (hopefully) be the tree surgeons who are due to arrive soon. At least it's not raining today (fingers crossed). Id better go and get my shower and get dressed.

                          Chat later.

                              Good morning all.

                              Daisy that is an excitement!
Oh spring, please do come soon!

This morning is the first frost-free one for a while. Very damp outside, the next nice day forecast for us is Saturday.
Our excitement today Tesco coming with a delivery. Not a morning one as usual as I couldn't get a slot, it's between 5 and 6 pm.
No other plans , but I may go to mums house. I'm dropping some flowers and chocolates off for her tomorrow so thought I may get some more pictures from her house, for her her wall in her room.
It's her 'first born' collection which are hung in group in her living room. Photos of me , DD1 and my GD as babies - all the first borns. Plus a print I once gave mum of a painting she loves called The Firstborn. I love it too and will have it when mum goes.

Have a good day everyone, Stay safe, stay warm.

Our posts crossed Oma. Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. It sounds as though you are still not 100% though so do take it easy xx

Oma, I hope you feel stronger soon, I wonder what was ailing you. Enjoy your day with Storm

Went to bed with the garden covered still in snow and woke up to a snow free garden. Very late getting up must get moving. Just finished my 7th knitting project, have some yarn already for the next one.
