Thank you admin for the New Year greeting email.

We plan to take our decs down either tomorrow or Sunday. We will see what the mood takes us.
DS has just popped by with Christmas presents from DIL's brother and SIL . We would have had them on Christmas day if things had been normal!
OH has been given 3 bottles of craft beer , I have a bottle of wine between us a huge box of M and S chocolate biscuits 😋
Honestly, you should see the one cupboard in the kitchen, it is full of biscuits and all things really unhealthy but sooo irresistible.
Also the wine rack is full with bottles of wine in a cupboard in the hall.
We think our children and friends think because we haven't been out since February we could do with the odd treat !!

Its a cold day here ,lots of black ice so we haven't been out for our usual walk.

      Happy New Year ladies

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

          Good evening everyone.

Daisy, apparently golf courses will still be open in Tier 3. I have been pretty on the ball so far with what is allowed, but am becoming more confused by it all now!!
I think libraries will also be open, so I will wait to hear if I am there on Monday.

A funny old New Year's Eve, just the two of us and the cat! A suitable end to an strange year though.

Gem - I'm pleased for OH that she can still get a round of golf - a little bit of normal life is a beacon of hope!

Gem, it's strange for us as well. Not having our usual NYE dinner seems very odd. I'm doing a prawn cocktail starter and lamb steaks with an improvised potato gratin and some green veggies. I think pudding will just be yoghurt, though.

I'd meant to prepare the gratin earlier but we took Eva up to the paddock and then stood chatting to our new neighbour (safely distanced!) for ages when we got back, so we didn't get lunch until after 2 pm. It was beautiful out - clear blue skies and not quite as cold as yesterday. It did us both good.

Eva had venison, beef and turkey for her NYE dinner. I can tell she enjoyed it - it disappeared in about 10 seconds.

We're going to stay up and see the New Year in, and will raise a glass to all of you, wishing you all the best for the coming year. I think we'll all be thankful to put 2020 behind us.

Well we started 2020 with a hospital visit, GS with broken arm on 1st January. And we've ended it with a hospital visit, OH for a CT scan for a lump on neck. Hospital phoned this morning, could we get in before 12.30? Could hardly say no, so all my plans for today were put on hold. I wasn't allowed in with OH, but one of the Oncology nurses found me in car park and said to come in because it was very quiet. I was beginning to lose feeling in my feet, so I was very pleased to get into the warmth. We were given an appointment with the consultant for next Wednesday, so we haven't got too long to wait. Not how I wanted to start the New Year, but hey ho, not much I can do about it.

I did get out for a walk this afternoon, but the fog hasn't really lifted all day and it was chilly, but it cleared my head.

On a positive note, the cloakroom has been done apart from the splashback and the mirror, but I need to wait for the glass shop to open before I can get them. Really pleased with it and the room looks so much bigger now it's been brought into the 21st century!

Hoping that 2021 will be a better year for all of you lovely ladies and that the GRU meet up might actually happen!!

A guid New Year tae ane an'a and lang mae yur lum reek! x

Rang my sister in law who lives in Wigan this evening.
I knew she was going to be on her own tonight, she's ok though.
We had a good long chat.

I shan't be staying up to see the new year in, but hubby says he might.
Whatever your plans are, have a good night.

Good morning and a Happy New Year. Lets hope this year is better.

Today will be like a normal day for us.
Decorations will come down when i get home from in laws.

Raining this morning, so it must be a bit warmer. Hopefully it will get rid of the icy snow thats lingering.

Good morning Nana, Lizzie, Nan2 and all who follow

It's not freezing here for the first morning for a while, which is a positive.
I hope everyone enjoyed their New Years Eve.
We had a nice meal, cooked by OH. We watched telly and spent a lot of the evening in video calls. First a family Zoom one at 9, which we left at 10 to join one with some of the friends we normally spend NYE with. Not the same, but still nice. We saw a few fireworks going off at midnight and were so glad to see the end of 2020.

Happy first day of a better year everyone.
