Good morning Nan2 and everyone.
It was mild here yesterday Nan2. The sun is out this morning. I hope you find your in laws well.
It sounds as though Buzz is back on form Oma!
Daisy, it was fairly quiet at the library. One lady came in as she had her an email about returning her book (all reservations were extended from the start of lockdown until September 30th) She said she was unaware that the library was open. I'm not surprised, if you are not on social media it would be easy to not know.
School pick up for GS1 at 3.10. No other plans until I set off for him. Plenty to do though!

I thought we were supposed to have another sunny day today but we have had rain and it is miserable outside. I was hoping to plant bulbs today. Apart from changing sheet on bed I had no other plans. My sister has a birthday soon so I might pop out to get her a card.
I will pop back later. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Morning all! Grey, wet and miserable here. Thank goodness we have nothing planned that needs going out.
Another sleepless night again, but had several coughing bouts as well. No temperature or other warning signs,so will just take it easy for the rest of the day. I come from a chesty family, so I often have a cough!
DS tells me masks are now compulsory outdoors in Slovakia. Previously they just had to be worn in shops etc.
Our library is by appointment only at the moment. You get 30 minutes I believe. I haven't been back yet I must admit. The county has restarted fines for overdue books again so that might catch some people out .
Have a good day ladies xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Good morning, we had that yesterday WG, dull, wet, miserable and far too warm all day yesterday, now the sun is out and it looks like being a lovely day.
I have been to the hospital for the ultra sound, it is a small hospital not far from here, 8 kms on the bike, it is part of the huge one in Delft, it was very quiet, the lady did the scan then got someone else in to have a look, they were talking about my pelvis, that is where the pain starts, now a specialist has to view the scan then get in touch with my own doctor, it will be 2 to 3 days.
I hope Buzz had recovered Oma. He will have to stop bullying!

Good morning everyone.
It rained overnight here, but I don't know how much. It's much milder now that cold north wind has stopped, but grey and dull.
We had a lie-in this morning, but it's about time I got going and had a shower!
Lizzie - I hope you get good results from your ultra sound. Your health service does sound very efficient.
WeeGranny - I'm sorry you've had a bad night - it's awful when coughing keeps you awake. A nice easy day sounds in order, and perhaps a soothing hot toddy later? At least Slovakia's mask rules are straightforward.
Plant - the weather can totally disrupt any gardening plans, can't it. How old will your sister be? Is she keeping well?
Gem - I hope the library gets busier as people realise it's open. Is it safe from closure now?
Nanto = I hope your in-laws are ok, and your GD1 has a lovely birthday.
No plans for us today. We have quite a lot of paperwork waiting so we might do that. I was going to wash all the dog towels, beds, blankets etc but they won't dry in this still, dull weather.

Daisy, my sister will be 92, lives on her own. Her health has always been poor, she has bad breathing difficulties and has been hospitalized in the past. In February she suddenly felt so breathless and unwell, called an ambulance and was admitted to hospital where she became very poorly. the chances are that she had the virus. One of her sons died some years ago and her other son has lived in Hong Kong for years. He is visiting atm for her birthday. Her Dil does her work and keeps an eye on her and her eldest GD sees to her needs but most of the time she is on her own. Although she only lives just over an hour away I don't feel up to driving there now so we talk on the phone. There are just two of us left from a family of 6 children. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

WeeGranny, I do hope your cough is soon gone, it isn't very often I cough but I hear from some people that they are awake during the night from their coughing.
We got new rules here last night for the Covid carry on. Wear masks in the shops in the 3 largest cities, no more than 3 visitors allowed in your home, they want supermarkets to come with a safe shopping space for the vulnerable, they did that the first time round, early shopping, the only thing is, most of the vulnerable don't do their shopping early. No spectators at any sports, be it football, hockey or whatever else.
I read that they had to wear masks in Slovakia.
Plant, does you sister live on her own? She seems to have people looking after her.

Morning all - sorry I’ve not been on. Had a stinking cold courtesy of one of my fairies. I’m ok now just getting over it. My poor little dog got stung on the ear by these pesky wasps that seem to be everywhere at the moment. Poor thing, she was in so much pain and all she would let me do was bathe it in cold water. I’ve been stung twice in the past and it is agony. Hope everyone is well xx

Lovely to see you FQ, but not so lovely to hear you have a bad cold. This is one of the definite downsides of grandchildren! It does get better as they get older as they are less kissy and cuddly, and understand more about germ spreading! Oh poor doggy
Daisy, I will update about the library on that thread, but yes I think we are safe.
Only 3 visitors Lizzie, that's worse than our Rule of Six.
It's lovely and sunny here
I drove to mums house to check on things and water flower tubs, then went to the pharmacy to collect my repeat prescription. Towels drying on the line, and I will steam the floors before I go for GS1.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
