We have had lovely weather after a misty start. I went to DS2 and partner for lunch, they have got the skylights fitted, at last! It is a slate tiled roof and builders were saying it was extra work etc, a neighbour that has the same roof helped him last weekend and he said it wasn't much work at all, he has helped with a tiled roof and said that was more work, I told him I am proud of all he has done himself, he is not one for receiving compliments but I did mean it. He works to perfection! He has made a cupboard under the stairs, all fitted and finished off really well. He said that he could be quicker, I told him that Rome wasn't built in a day! He often works a few days a week with decorators/builders so has learnt a lot from them, they have helped him as well. They spray walls, they have done the room there and it looks good. When the upstairs is finished they will do that as well. I had hoped that GD's would go with me but one was at a friends and the other had a lot of homework to do.
I have got my first photo album finished and ordered, I just hope all goes well!
DIL gave me a special cushion for between my legs in bed, the physio said it would be better to use one and it will stop the pain.

I have seen those between the knees cushions on TV Lizzie. I hope it helps.
I had a nice day with GD and GS2 here. Always lots of fun with GS2!
We are having fish and chips for tea (OH has gone to collect them) and an evening of TV.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I was looking at those cushions Lizzie but i toss and turn a lot and my favoured position to sleep is on my stomach , not that i can do that at the minute with my shoulder but i know a cushion would end up on the floor ,
Hope it works for you though ,
Gem we have just had home made fish and chips and mushy peas for tea
GS 1 has brought a Sax home from school , DD said he has already learned a tune but its very loud
Gem i bet the children had a really good time at Grandmas
Spent some time on the phone to Clare , she's very sad but ok feels like she's been on a roller coaster the past few days , like my brother the news on him changed from hour to hour .
I managed to get her laughing before i hung up , we laughed about some of the things he did at her and Martins wedding last year, he was so funny and quite the flirt , he even had B's Mam giggling like a girl
Social workers are next door again she's having another episode , they getting more frequent , its only been two weeks since she came out of Hospital .

Mimi, the physio said it will stop the muscles from straining, when I had knee problems I used one then. I made one then, this one is all shaped for comfort😉 Oma, I have shoulder problems, when it was really painful I had a cushion in my bed to stop me turning over onto it. After physio, exercise etc it is much better, when my physio made an ultra sound he said my shoulder was so warn I could have been a lumberjack! I cried all the way home😢Last edited by Lizzie48; 23-10-2020, 06:57 PM.

Good morning, everyone. Dull and cloudy here, but there's a glimmer of lightness in the sky, so fingers crossed it stays dry.
Gem - I'm sorry, we can't see your photos. I can see my own on the Hedgehog thread ok. I'll try another photo from a different source:

Good morning ladies ,
Sounds like a glitch in the photo dept ladies
Was in Morrisons for 8 this morning , only us and one other person apart from staff
Yes Gem we think she should be in assisted living , im always worried she will do something silly to herself , all i can do is ring her Mother & Father if i think she's not right again
Sad life she lives .
It's a dry morning so far but very cold and windy not a day to be in the garden and i really wanted to get the leaves up today , never mind there are still so many to come down anyway ,
How are we all today ?
Nanto we were talking about the clocks this morning its the hassle of going around the house changing them then our watches i always forget mine
Have a good day ladies i will be back later xxxIm not fat just 6ft too small

Very sad news Oma about your SIL's Grandad. I hope they decide to keep your neighbour safe in some sort of care home.
Very dull here but so far it is dry. DD and Sil are due back some time today. Still no news about completion on the flat the shed dwellers are buying. No plans for today, wore myself out yesterday.
Thanks for the reminders about the clocks, some of mine change themselves, must sort the heating clock out.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Sad news Oma.
very dull and dreary here, DD just popped in for coffee on her way back from walking Dexter and she timed it just right as it’s now pouring with rain. I’m planning a day of sorting our my craft stuff, wool etc and getting on with the socks I’m knItting for DD.
I have a new well, refurbished phone, and DD has sorted it out for me so I can now listed to music, podcasts etc through it onto Alexas speakers 🙄. I’m befuddled. But she’s shown me what to do so now I’m down with the kids 🤪🤓🤣. Probably not, they’re all still way ahead of me but it’s a start.
I’ll write myself a note about the clocks, otherwise I might forget by the time it’s bedtime, thanks for the reminder."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss
