Exciting times Plant a new year baby in the family.
Roast chicken, lovely Mimi. We are having salmon, but planning to go out for a roast next Sunday.
Farm shops are lovely Oma, with good stuff, but pricey to shop at all the time. We have a lovely artisan bakery in the village who supply tea rooms in and around York. Very pricey and I rarely shop there.

I'm so tired!!! I had a really bad night for some reason. I don't know how you cope Oma, especially getting up and cleaning.
I've had an easy day, and I won't be late to bed. I stripped the bed and got all the bedding out in the sunshine and wind.
I went to my mum's and brought back a few more clothes to take to her. I came back, put my feet up and watched the penultimate Harry Potter film.

I had a lovely surprise today. There was a knock at the door and when I went my friends C and P were on the drive, having left some beautiful flowers on the doorstep. I was truly touched to be given flowers. I only did what I know they would for me, but they obviously appreciated it. They went for a short walk yesterday and were going for another today. Just taking it easy at first as both are tired. P looks quite gaunt in the face and his voice is still very hoarse. I was so happy to see them though

OH won at golf, so she's a happy bunny too.

Got upstairs windows and mirrors cleaned and dusting done need to hoover but will do that in the morning ,

I have put our lightweight coats away and brought the thick winter ones out its getting cold now

Oma I haven't spoken to Mum since that day a couple of weeks ago when we spoke thorough the window and she was so upset. She gets upset on the phone too as she can't hear us well, but I will try again. I email the manager at least once a week to ask how she is, and I send Mum a weekly one which they print off for her.
They say she is fine, copes well with the regular covid tests they have, and comes downstairs several days a week now, often having her lunch there.

I phoned my auntie this morning for a chat, and she is fine.

Had to smile. Yesterday I got a letter from the hospital apologising for the delay in my treatment and basically saying they don't know when I'll get an appointment. The only thing is, I can't for the life of me think what treatment I'm due to have! Am just going to leave it and see if anything else arrives giving me more details, or at least a clue as to what I should have had.

Been a lovely day here. Got out in garden and installed a hedgehog house under some bushes, so we'll see if we get any tenants. Nearly stood on one on the patio the other evening, so I know they come into the garden.

Got DD and family next week for half term. Not sure what they've got planned apart from a night at a swanky hotel in Cambridge to make up for their lack of holidays this year. Needless to say, doggo will be staying with us and I think GS will be having a night at his other granny's. I intend to go with the flow.

OH should be starting his new meds this week, should have had them a fortnight ago, but our surgery doesn't know its a*** from its elbow, and sent the script to the wrong pharmacy, then the drugs had to be ordered in. I finally got some sense from the pharmacy yesterday, so hopefully they'll be there tomorrow and he can get started and who knows, we may see some improvement in his condition.

Sil back at work part time ( at home) and still waiting for his next appointment.

Gem, glad to hear your friends are on the mend. Congrats to S for her win. Celebration drink tonight?

We had a lovely rainbow this morning. Was going to take a photo and use it for this mornings graphic.
Phone was on charge,by the time i got phone,rainbow had faded.

I cleaned window frames and windows yesterday. Not heard when new windows will be installed yet.

WeeGranny,hope you find out what treatment you should have had.

I'm going to have to read back on yesterdays posts when i get chance.

WG, how bizarre. Apologising to you for delayed treatment you don't even know you need, but delaying your OH , who needs his drugs, by incompetence. I really hope they help him.

Library afternoon for me. I start at 1 so need to remember to have an early lunch on Mondays.
I need to get on with typing the minutes of last weeks meeting while it is reasonably fresh in my mind. I intend to do, or at least begin this this morning.
Instead of the weekly WhatsApp quiz we are having a group video chat tonight. We all miss seeing each other, so that will be good.

B has to phone Dentist AGAIN this morning , the filling in his front tooth fell out yesterday , only had it done on Wednesday

Bad show about hubby's meds though that's not on is it .

Hope the dentist can deal with B's filling dropping out Oma.

GGC were next door for lunch with DD and Sil. yesterday. They enjoyed the jam tarts I made them. GS asked if they could borrow my Karcher, I think it will be the first time their windows have been cleaned since they moved in, they have had builders in for ages making lots of mess. I hope they get on with it okay. My Dil has my steam cleaner and now they have my Karcher so no floor washing or window cleaning for me. Yay.

Well phoned the Dentist , as he will have to have it drilled to get the filling to stay in he has to have a two hour special appointment
He has to go on 6th November at 2.30 so the surgery can be steam cleaned after using the drill .
Honestly its a tiny filling in his front tooth not major surgery .

I know they have to take all precautions but this seems a bit drastic , the receptionist said they only doing one of these appointments a week

Ordinary temp filling no bother but anything drilled its a full on clean

B said he feels like a leper will someone walk in front of him with a big Black flag calling unclean unclean

Oma when I had my appointment they just did a temporary patch up with no drilling. The dentist said with drilling they have to leave the room for a full hour before even starting the deep clean, so it really takes up almost a full afternoon or morning session, so you can see why they are reluctant.

Oma, it was very windy!!! I don't know about halloween but a friend of mine has put her Christmas tree up already!!! GD2 goes to her football training but I don't think there are matches at the moment.
This seems to have got lost along the way.
