    Good morning all.
Its a windy day but so far not much rain but I am sure all that will change very soon.
I've just put up a picture in the bedroom window of a poppy that I downloaded from the British Legion website . It requires a donation to get the download but as we would normally buy a poppy for our coats from a seller in the street in town I know that I have contributed to the remembrance appeal.

We don't have as many clocks to change as we used to have, just the the in the sitting room, the clock on the wall in the kitchen and the clock on the cooker. I don't bother with the microwave wave clock as it's turned off at the mains,I just turn that on when needed . Oh forgot about the landline phone, which we never use. Come to think of it, there are more than I previously thought. We have an Alexa dot in the bedroom and that has a clock display but that will automatically change. Mobile phone , tablet and laptop and Sky will also automatically change.

Oma so sad about your neighbour . You have to feel sorry for the family, mental illness is so cruel.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Now you are down with the kids Enfys, we know where to come for technical advice
That's a nice idea about the poppy donation Mimi.

Very sunny and windy with dark clouds here. I have washed towels and crossing my fingers they dry!

Started off very windy this morning, but it calmed down now. Raining now.
Supermarket shopping done and put away. Done the in laws shopping as well.
I changed the bedroom clocks when i was up there tidying.
Cooker, microwave, kitchen and living room clocks,oh and watches will be done later.
        Everything else changes automatically.

I got the towels in before the rain came! They just needed airing.
We were thinking of a walk today but it was very windy, (I had to put a lot of pegs on the washing!) and then raining.
We have several timepieces to change. Living room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen and conservatory clocks. I didn't change my car clock in March, so that will be right again!

I didn't change my car clock either and it's irritated me all summer (not that I've used it that much with lockdown!). Ironically, I usually leave it on summer time all year round, because for some reason it makes me think summer is nearly here. I know there is no logic in this, but it makes me feel better! But I couldn't work out how to change the clock in this car. I love the car but it has a couple of things that make no sense - like the handbook doesn't explain how you can put a post code in the sat nav, and changing the clock time needs a degree in engineering at least!

Most of the clocks around the house change themselves, but I leave OH to change his pride and joy - an old-fashioned chiming tick-tock clock.

I didn't even try to put washing out today - it's been horrible.

It was really windy all day yesterday, dry though, I went on my(E) bike to DS1 to take GD1 present from DS2. I then carried on for my veg etc, it was sooooo windy cycling through the fields! At one point I decided I must be crazy, I did it though, the man was there and I got my veg for the weeks and fresh eggs, I have his phone number now so can always phone him to see if he is at the allotments. I knew DS1 was calling in so I got him some fresh milk from the farm on my way back home.

After that I got the second photo album finished and ordered, I hope all went well but I think it did. I have done the clocks, I have an old fashioned chiming clock Daisy, the GD's used to be amazed when I had to wind it up.

Enfys, well done with getting the phone set up. It is a very modern world. My eldest brother has no internet and I still write "letters" to them.

Good morning. Very sunny this morning.
Just the usual jobs for me,hubby has set his mind to tidy something in the garden.

Lizzie,a busy day for you yesterday, out and about on your bike.
I was wondering yesterday, whether or not you alter the clocks when we do.

                  Good morning ladies.

Daisy I didn't mind the clock being wrong this time, as my present car, bought in January, has a clock showing on the radio, which changes automatically, so I just looked at that instead of the actual clock!
Lizzie, we had high winds and rain yesterday. I certainly wouldn't want to have cycled in it Take care!! One of my closest friends M, who is only 3 years older than me, has no internet. Unusual in this day and age.

After a wet night it is all calm outside and sunny.
OH has golf, so unless the course is closed due to wet conditions underfoot, it should be a nice day for it.
I have various things on my list. Phoning my auntie, writing up the minutes of the Zoom meeting, going to my mum's house to put away her bin, etc.
I may decorate for Halloween today too, when OH is absent! DD2's house looks lovely (on the photo) so I'm inspired to do ours. We like to cheer ourselves up with decorating!

                  Have a good Sunday everyone.

DD and Sil back from Cornwall yesterday. I went in for a glass of bubbles and a chat about their holiday. Went to JL yesterday afternoon with GD1 and her partner to look at things for the forthcoming baby. I offered to buy the baby a high chair, the one they liked came apart to provide a low chair for a tiny baby and finished up with a chair to put up to a table as they got older. I have managed to alter all the clocks that needed changing apart from the car clock. I shall hate the darker evenings. No plans for today so I must get on with my knitting.

That sounds like a really hairy ride in that wind Lizzie but the fresh veg and milk sounded worth it. How lovely to be able to get those things so fresh.

Some of the members have been meeting for bowls Oma but a friend went and she said she didn't enjoy it although she was enjoying the bowls outside, a group she belongs to in another village. That will stop now with the darker evenings. I am very worried about a neighbour and one of my bowling friends, she had an op for bowl cancer earlier this year and seemed so well but she told me about a month ago that she now has it in her liver. I am noticing the curtains are closed at the front of the house and strange cars are parked outside her house.

No hope of me doing any washing, DD has a load piled ready to go in the wash, she is sharing my machines atm so GD1 and her partner can use her utility room. They have just signed more papers for the flat but no sign of a completion date, they are anxious for the move to be soon so they can get in and be settled before the baby is due. I think she has another scan soon.

Good morning all you early birds, and those who fly in later.

I think it's April here - sun, rain, sun, rain on repeat endlessly. Mind you I wish it was April. Like Plant, I hate the dark evenings.

Enfys, I'm very impressed with all this technology - well done. You should be proud of yourself. OH's eldest sister and her husband don't have internet, or mobile phones, but she does write beautiful letters in lovely italic script.

We had an 8 am Sainsbury's order so were up and about early - no extra hour for us!

I might tackle the ironing which is piling up. It would be good to get it done before we go up to DS1's on Tuesday.

Plant - I do hope your GD and partner can get the purchase of the flat done soon. They need time to settle down before baby arrives. When we were selling my cousin's house our solicitor was very good but we found holdups all along the chain and both he and I were constantly having to chase people. It's so frustrating.

Oma - I'm scared to even dust that clock!

Lizzie - well done for keeping your ebike upright in such awful weather, but I'm sure the lovely fresh veggies were worth it.

Gem - I hope S can play golf today. It's very wet down here! Our garden has great big puddles in it.

Morning all. It's raining very hard here this morning so I have had to give in and put the tumble dryer on.

Plant sorry but I have missed your GD baby news, when is baby due?

We don't decorate for Halloween but the neighbour over the road is battling in the rain to decorate the outside of their flat which is ok apart from the fact that he still has the bunting up he put up in June for VE celebrations.

We are having roast chicken for lunch today.

                            Have a good day everyone

Hi Mimi, GD1 and partners baby is due at the beginning of January, she might get a slightly more accurate date when she has the next scan. It will come when it is ready to. GD1 is intending to work until the beginning of Dec. so that she can have more maternity leave when the baby is here. Roast chicken sounds lovely Mimi, being on my own I haven't had roast chicken for ages, it is so much nicer than chicken joints.
