    Lovely photo Oma.
    That was fast service Nan2!
What a nice surprise for that girl Lizzie.
Did you get much gardening done Daisy?

I enjoyed the film, but I have previously only been to the cinema alone at times when the screens are almost empty. It felt odd sitting amongst families. especially these days! There were things which would have been very scary for younger children, but I think GS1 at nearly 9 would be fine. It was actually a 12A, which apparently means under 12's CAN watch, but only with an adult accompanying them.
Hedgehogs fed and watered, all locked up for the night. TV night for me, then off to bed with my Kindle

Gem - what a pity GS2 could have gone to see the film as well. It must have seemed eerie having the cinema full of families like that. Your hedgehogs are very well cared for.

Nanto - glad you're pleased with your new cushion covers.

Well I did very little of what I planned today! In fact I'm not quite sure exactly what I have done, apart from being on the computer for quite a while.
A neighbour called round early evening and we had a couple of glasses of wine and a chat, which was lovely. I'm planning an early night as I have to pick up GD1 and Cooper a bit earlier tomorrow. GD2 is having a cookery lesson first thing and her other gran will pick her up and bring her over to our house. I hope we get to sample what she's made!

I did push the sucky up thing round upstairs - much needed. Picked tomatoes. Did a very small amount of weeding. It doesn't sound much, does it!

Good morning and the sun is shining.

Oma, cushion covers have quite a bit of pink in them.
I'll take a photo later, after the others have come today.
Your neighbour has certainly been dealt a bad hand hasn't she.
Bless her that she's still smiling.

Must check in with in laws. I had to go round late afternoon yesterday.
She rang saying she didn't feel well. Had to go and calm her down.
She said if they take me into hospital, they put me in the end of life room.
Told her they won't take you into hospital for an upset stomach, that was what she was complaining about.
Pleased to say dad is walking a lot better, and the pain has eased off. He hasn't had a fall since friday.

Good morning ladies, another week begins!

Nan2, a lot of older people. like your MIL, have that fear of going into hospital being 'the end' I think. Good to hear FIL is doing better.
Daisy I hope GD will have made something nice!
That poor neighbour Oma. My mum and grandmother had galls stones so I have been expecting them! Mum said they were so painful, but the operation easy and a success, she felt so much better afterwards.

A sunny day here. Towels are in the wash ready to go on the line. OH has her second day on the course, I hope they are not too tired!
I am visiting my mum this afternoon. DD3 was going to come if her workload allowed. I must check.
I expect OH will be back early evening. Quiz night for me at 8.

            Happy Monday everyone.

Oma, Sorry to hear your neighbour has been poorly again. I have been a bit disappointed with the flavour of the beefsteak tomatoes from the greenhouse, not much flavour.

Gemini, I am sure your mum will be pleased to see you. Good luck in the quiz.

Nanto, sorry to hear your Mil is feeling poorly and worried about having to go into hospital, how old are your in-laws?

I need to do a shop, my fridge is looking very bare. My DD does voluntary ushering at our local theatre a few times a month and tonight they are putting on a performance of The King and I for invited guests so I am going to be her plus 1. Looking forward to it . Bowling this afternoon so quite a busy day for me.

                Good morning ladies ,

Nanto poor MIL must have gotten herself into a state worrying about if they take her into Hospital ,
Fingers crossed no more falls for FIL x

Plant something nice to look forward to for tonight , I love The King and I xx

Gem hope your Mum is well today when you see her x

On Thursday when I spoke to Dr about the Thrush he sent a prescription to our Chemist to be delivered ,
Friday Morning at 8.30 , I rang the Pharmacy to make sure they had it and it would be out that day , Yes its out for delivery if it hasn't turned up by 3.30 ring back .
I rang back at 3.30 yes its on the van you should get it soon we deliver till 6.30 .

Well it didn't come and they are closed on a weekend as its part of a surgery so only does Surgery times .

Went for them opening for 8.30 and complained I had been uncomfortable all weekend despite stressing to them Friday I needed it urgently and they had failed to deliver it .

They couldn't find that prescription or my BP tablets

The Pharmacist had to re do the order while I waited and said if they do turn up to let them know They shouldn't lose medication .

In about 5 years I have had my meds delivered by them its never happened before but typical it had to happen with stuff I really needed quickly .

A nice week-end was had with my friend staying we had 2 x good days looking around charity shops and she bought 3 x new dresses for her holiday in Malta in a couple of weeks all still had their labels on she only paid £7.50 for the lot from Cancer UK shop they have really good stock if you look carefully.

                  Lovely picture Oma x

I've found the flooring I want in my kitchen its black & white squares I was lucky enough to find an off cut at a really good price it will leave quite a bit over but it was the pattern I wanted the extra can go to DDs and she can lay it in her downstairs loo and small utility room where she keeps her freezer so all happy they are coming on Wednesday to fit it.

Last night I put the oven cleaner on my cooker and soaked the trays in the plastic bag I need to clean it all off this morning I just hate doing this job but couldn't justify £65 for a professional cleaning job lucky enough my back problem is painless today so fingers crossed.

Nanto good to hear your dad is managing to stay up on his feet it is frightening when older people are proune to falls my neighbour Jim is still in hospital after his last fall when he broke his arm/shoulder he is having OT treatment everyday to get him walking again after they said he has not broken his hip which is a blessing personally I think he needs a care home enviroment now .
Your lounge is going to look very smart with the new cushions pink tones are my personal colour of choice everytime.

Enjoy the day ladies I am going to tackle the oven now so am getting changed into old stuff as I am sure to get covered in gunk.xxx talk soon

Well its been one heck of a morning.
Dad rang about 8ish, said he had found mam passed out on the landing.
We made mad dash round and she was conscious.
Didn't want to move her in case she had done some damage.
Rang for an ambulance and they said it could take up to 2 hours to come.
Fortunately they were only about ½ an hour. Gave her a good check up and said they didn't think she needed to go to hospital, and mam didn't want to go.
We got home about 10 minutes ago, my sister in law is there now.

                    Will catch up later.

Oh Nan2 I do feel for you and the rest of the family. It's hard when older relatives need you so much. You never fully relax do you? I hope your MIL is ok now .
Oma, what terrible service about your drugs. It's messy but natural yogurt is very soothing for this while you are waiting for the treatment.
Good luck with the oven cleaning Glamma. I keep meaning to try those bags.

Good Monday morning everyone. It's chilly and cloudy here - not the best start to the week.

Glamm - your friend did very well getting 3 brand new dresses from the charity shop. Your kitchen will look very smart with the new flooring, and not long to wait for it to be fitted, either. I don't envy you oven cleaning, but take care with your back.

Oma - that medication has been nothing but trouble, hasn't it, just when you needed it urgently! Let's hope it doesn't happen again. Your poor neighbour is going through it, isn't she. Good that she stays cheerful though. I'm sure that helps.

Nanto - a pretty graphic to start the week - thank you. Your poor MIL to be worried about going into hospital like that. Pleased your FIL hasn't had any more falls, and he's in less pain, poor chap.

Gem - I hope you have a good visit with your Mum this afternoon, and DD3 can come with you. At least the course will be less soggy if the sun's shining.

Plant - you are a busy lady. The King and I should be fun. How does your DD fit everything in - she's another busy lady!! Enjoy your bowls this afternoon.

We have got GD1 and Cooper here. GD2 is having a cookery lesson and then her other gran is bringing her over to us about lunch-time, I think. The other gran does Air B&B and has guests leaving and new ones arriving today so needs to get everything washed and cleaned before they arrive, otherwise she would have kept GD2 for the rest of the day. GD1 has been doing some of the Maths set by her new school - not compulsory but she enjoys it. Now she and OH have gone off to the shed to make some pendant necklaces. A quiet few minutes for me.

The fishman called round this morning and I got a box of lovely hake fillets. I usually buy a box of something if there's room in the freezer. He says a lot of people seem to have their freezers full of dog food!

Whatever you're doing, I hope your Monday is going well.

EDIT - I got interrupted half way through this so didn't see Nanto's post and Gem's before I posted.

Nanto - thank goodness MIL doesn't need to go to hospital - the very thing she was dreading. It must have shaken Dad as well. It's lucky you are so close and can get round there so quickly.

Gem - glad DD3 can visit mum with you this afternoon. xx

That's OH's Covid test delivered to hospital in readiness for Wednesday's appointment. Now to get on with some housework. Washing out on line, windy but warm ( the weather not the clothes! ) and the sun pops out now and again.

As we're not going to be moving in the near future, have decided to get some new bits and pieces for house. Firstly, new curtain's for DS's room. have seen some in Dunelm so I'll get them ordered online later today. Also want a low, long unit with a matching TV cabinet for lounge. Plenty TV cabinets, but low storage units seem to be in short supply. Will keep looking, I'm sure there are some out there somewhere. I never put the dining room curtains back up after having them cleaned, but I think I'll have to hang them again especially with the colder weather coming in. We have blinds, but the windows really need something else.

Our old neighbour kept falling and asking me to help get him up. I did it a few times, but worried that I might damage something if I lifted him in the wrong way, so I suggested he call an ambulance. He did that a few times, but then stopped falling over! Nanto, I hope your inlaws quickly recover from their falls.

Hope everyone has a good rest of the day xx
