    Good morning Glamma.
Good luck, all will be fine I'm sure. Yes, unlike after the cataract removal there should be a clear vison straight away with laser.
You should be able to see us far better next time

Well the heavens opened and its pitch black , I have the lamp on its so dark ,

In and out of Dentist , the fillings I thought I needed were nothing more than a wearing down of the filling and of course putting your tongue on them they felt huge ,
She showed me on the monitor they were tiny , and the other hole I thought was there was just the gum receding slightly .

Glamm I am keeping everything crossed for you good luck be brave

Oma, things concerning teeth always feel bigger than they really are (I was about to word that sentence with In the mouth instead of Concerning teeth in it, but decided against it!! )
No news is good news regarding the house sale at the moment I hope.
We are going to a garage now , via library, to have OH's car valued. She has been looking for another for a while and wants an idea of what hers is worth.

Just a quick visit, I have been doing coffee and now on my way to the pool! My leg has been fine since the Saturday attack, thanks for asking Oma, what brings it on I do not know.

I will catch up later on.

Well OH bought a car this morning! A gun metal grey Qashqai , only 8 months old. It's in Blackpool, but Arnold Clark's will get it sent across. She has been wanting a gun metal grey one, but could never see one the right age.

As I have mentioned on another thread, DD and GS1 are having to isolate until next week, having been in contact on Saturday with a little boy who has tested positive for Covid Fingers crossed they both stay clear of it.

                Miserable weather here today.

Hope DDand GS don't get the virus.

Lizzie, swimming should be good for the leg.

Tried the new iron this morning. I do like it.

Oma, pleased the dentist appointment went well.

Nan to, yes, the swimming is good for my legs, maybe I should find a rich man with a huge house including pool!!! Joking!

I am pleased you like the iron.

Oma, yes, when we feel with our tongues the fillings etc feel so much bigger than they actually are.

Gem, I do hope that DD and GS are free of the virus and congratulate S on the new car. It will be very smart.

I see our government have had to apologise for letting us have too much freedom too early, the virus is spreading like wild fire at the moment.

It is very humid here, rain forecast but hasn't arrived yet.

Lizzie I think the same may happen here, unless everyone remains cautious after July 19th.

Good Afternoon ladies! OH is watching a Boris session, but I just get angry watching him, so I've escaped to the computer! DS is asleep, but he had along day yesterday especially as his flight was delayed by 2 hours! First thing he did outside the airport, was have a ciggie and take his mask off. Sid he couldn't cope with it anymore as it had been on since he arrived at the airport. No problems getting through security here and he has tests ready for days 2 and 8, but he's had both his jabs too.

Have had a cough off and on for some time now and finally got to speak to a doctor last week . Said it's probably viral, so gave me antibiotics!! They are the most horrible tasting things I've had and the taste won't go no matter what you eat or drink. Only two more pills to go and we'll see if they've worked, if not it'll be back to the surgery!

OH had his bloods taken today for his chemo on Wednesday. The rash has come back again and his consultant has started him on steroids again. She thinks he may have to have them for some time. So he's getting his rashy bits moisturised daily!

I should have tackled the ironing today, but came home from hospital, lay on bed and fell asleep! So, no ironing done today. I'm certainly not doing it now.

Our elderly next door neighbour has just been taken away in an ambulance. When I spoke to her live in carer, she said she was very frail, but I don't know why the ambulance was there. Her husband's ashes were interred in the cemetery last week, so maybe that's a factor. They are an odd family, the daughter is moving to Scotland, two of the brothers don't speak and even though they all live locally you hardly see any of them, including the grandchildren, there. I shall leave it until tomorrow to ask the carer what news there is.

Scotland at the weekend, so looking forward to getting away !

Hope all those isolating, don't have bad test results and that all other poorly people are soon well again ( that includes OHs and families). Hope too the Glamm can see clearly now!

Have a good evening ladies......no more football!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WG, hope the antibiotics do their job.
Hope things go ok for OH on Wednesday.
Soon be the weekend then you will be on your way.

                          Hope your neighbour is ok.

                            Evening ladies ,
Gem you will have to let us see a pic of the posh car
WG you will need your break , hope the steroids help clear the rash again it sounds like he has a allergy to his meds doesn't it xx

Lizzie agree with Gem I think we will have the same problem , everything relaxed too soon all together . A nice private pool would do you good not sure about the man though hahaha

Nanto glad you like your new iron you will whizz through it all now

A bit of a surprise for us tonight , i will write about it in YEO

WG, hope the cough is sorted soon. Scotland will do you good!

                              I won the quiz again!

Gem - well done on winning the quiz again - you're getting to be a real whizz at them. I'm sure S is delighted with her new car - I know I was when I found the one I wanted (except mine was the wrong colour!). I think you said ages ago she wanted a Qashqai, and I'm sure she'll be delighted with it. There's nothing like driving a car you really like - and nothing worse than having one you hate driving.

WG - the antibiotics sound awful, but if the cough goes it will be worth it. How lovely to have your DS over for a while. No wonder he's sleeping today after the flight being delayed. Is he coming up to Scotland with you? I hope your elderly neighbour is ok. You'd think the children would visit a bit more often wouldn't you.

Has the doctor said what's causing your OH's rash? (Sorry if you've said and I've forgotten!) The thing about ironing is, if you don't feel like doing it some days it will always wait for you and you must have needed the sleep!

Nanto - I'm glad your new iron is making the chore less tedious. My DIL1 has lent me her spare iron until I can go shopping for a new one - I like to try before I buy!

Glamm - I do hope the laser treatment went well this afternoon and the world is looking a brighter and clearer place. xxx

Lizzie - a nice indoor pool would suit me perfectly - if we were neighbours I'd share it with you. Glad to hear your leg hasn't played up again though. I wonder what restrictions are going to be imposed on you this time?

It's been miserable weather here today as well. For the first time in ages I did some painting this afternoon, and suddenly the heavens opened just as I needed to go back into the house (from the summerhouse). I got soaked just crossing our small garden. Parts of the garden were still under water when it went dark. I was glad I'd taken Eva out this morning and didn't feel too guilty ignoring her pleading eyes for another walk this evening.

Whoever's nicked the summer - can we have it back, please?
