Good morning All - hope everyone is well. Rainy and cool here in Manchester. Finished cleaning every where up with virus spray and bleach last night and we now have a shiny new boiler! Thank goodness for that. Shopping today and getting treats in for big fairy coming for the day tomorrow as she has an inset day. Hope I can get her out on her scooter.
Have a lovely day everyone! x

Good morning Nan2, FQ and everyone else.
How nice to have GD tomorrow FQ
A bright and sunny one here.
No firm plans for me today, apart from going to feed DD3' s cat at tea time.
Golf for OH. I think I will go to my mums this morning and gather the last of the fallen apples, a job I have been putting off!
Have a good Thursday everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Very overcast here, we have had some rain in the night. Woken up by window cleaners this morning, is it really a month since they last came. Hairdresser coming this morning at 10.30, I need to shower and wash my hair before she comes. I am also in the process of making some mincemeat (Delia recipe) I have got some vegetable suet for half of the mixture so GD2 and partner can have a mince pie or two, they have become vegetarians in the last 6 months.
FQ, pleased the boiler fitting went well, you can be warm and cozy now. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning. It's a lovely sunny day here, although it might not last!
Nanto and Plant - having a hairdresser come to your house sounds a very good idea. Nanto - I'm sure your DS and GD are looking forward to their beef dinner.
Plant - is it really time to start making mincemeat?I suppose it is really - it's nice to be able to leave it to mature. Do you put brandy in yours?
Gem - I think video appointments are fine, but when it's just a phone call, especially for something like a post-operative check up I'd feel happier if the doctor could actually see what's going on. Oma's sensible and on the ball (don't tell her I said that!) and would say if there was anything amiss, but lots of people aren't and I think important things could get missed.I meant to ask last night - has your DD got a time scale for completing on her house move? I do hope it all goes through smoothly for them.
FairyQueen - I'm glad the boiler is all up and running and keeping you cosy. Fingers crossed for the weather for your day with big fairy tomorrow. I bet she's looking forward to having you to herself for the day.
My GD1 has been off school all week with a cold. She hardly ever catches one so this has hit her quite hard. Her dad has stayed at home with her and her mum has run the shop on her own. It's doable like that for a few days, but of course DS's work is piling up and he'll need to catch up quickly when GD is better.
We're going to take Eva to the paddock this morning, while the sun's shining. After that, I think the sucky up thing needs some exercise as well.

All my GC have had colds since schools restarted Daisy. I think the overload of germs has hit them all! I hope your GD feels much better soon.
Things seem to have suddenly gone into first gear for DD and SIL 1 again! They accepted another over the asking price offer on their house and the owners of the house they are buying (who seemed in no hurry to move having accepted the offer on their house) , have now found somewhere and even better, a vacant property. So no time scale as such, but hopefully not too many weeks.

GGD was here yesterday and she had a cold, didn't seem to bother her.
Hairdresser just gone, we were saying she has been coming here for 32 years. When she broke her arm earlier this year I had to have another hairdresser. I have a perm every 10/12 weeks with a cut in between, I don't know why but whatever she did left my hair in a very bad condition, my regular hairdresser has only just got it back into condition, so I am feeling very pleased with the result today, it has taken me ages to grow out the old perm.
Sun keeps popping in and out but not reliable enough to sit in the sunroom.
Mincemeat in oven, the vegetarian one is finished apart from the brandy.
Pleased to hear your DD move is on again, hope it goes through this time. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant, some perms do damage hair, pleased it is back to normal now.
Gem, pleased your DD has sold the house. Now they can get busy packing.
I have just phoned the surgery for the scan results and they were clear, so, if it still as painful I have to phone next week and see what the next step is.

Lizzie - that's good news that your scan was clear, but I do hpe they can find out what's causing the pain.
Plant - I bet you feel better for having your old hairdresser back. I bet the mincemeat smells delicious.
Thanks, Gem. GD1 hates missing school, but they wouldn't have wanted her in class sneezing all the time.I do hope things so well for your DD's move. We've finally completed on my cousin's sale, at long, long last. It was very frustrating - one firm of solicitors involved in the chain were hopeless. They didn't reply to emails, they kept asking stupid questions and blaming working from home. Our purchasers said they were cash buyers and ready to move when they weren't. It's been a stressful experience.
The sun's still shining here, although the forecast for the South and South west of England for tomorrow looks dreadful!I'm making the most of today.

Been a lovely day here. Just been sat in the garden with a cuppa and cake.
Quite warm in the sun.
Everyone enjoyed their dinner. visitors have gone, they both wanted to pop into town.
Hairdresser came early, she did text first to see if it was ok.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Lizzie, I'm glad to hear the scan is clear . Are you still experiencing the pain?
Daisy thank goodness things are finally nearing the end with your cousin's house. It must have seen so stressful for you especially at a distance.
Lovely day isn't it Nan2?
DD3's wedding day, so I am happy for them, they got lovely photos outside
I got all the apples picked up in mum's garden this morning and into the bin.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
