Oma, loving the mask photos, even though we can't see the smiles.

In laws are well thank you.

FQ, pleased to hear you are feeling a bit better.

It's come out very warm today. Hubby picked me up from in laws.
Came home and had coffee. Had a stroll to deliver a card for Mam.
Decided to cut the grass after dinner, while we have the chance.

If you practice in front of the mirror, smiling and not when wearing a mask, I think you can tell the difference.
(too much time on my hands you might say......)

            Afternoon all.

A lovely sunny Autumnal day here.

I went to to do “ my ladies” housework, keeping my distance and using sanitiser after each room.

Oma those are very swish masks. Make my homemade ones look a bit pathetic😀

I”m waiting for a Tesco delivery. Hope they come at the beginning of the designated hour so I can get out into the back garden though I don’t think the grass is dry enough to cut.
I’ve been clearing things away from the walls of the house as next week the builders are hopefully coming to start on the new roof. I’m expecting the scaffolders to come at the end of the week and they’ll need a clear space to work.

            Have a nice afternoon.

Plant, you are right there are two nests on the road we walk on to the golf course near us. Loads of dogs have been stung and a couple of my neighbours. I might ring the council and ask if they can do anything as we have seen two nests.
Oma my two fairies love to share haha. Colds don’t stop them climbing on my knee but that’s fine!!

Oma - love your pic! Nan, thank you. Can I just ask has anyone ever sold old gold jewellery they no longer wear. During my incarceration due to my cold I sorted out my jewellery box. We have a nice jewellers near us and I wanted to order two silver lockets for my girls for Christmas. I took the bits that I no longer wear and asked what it was worth. I could not believe it when he said £560 for a few bits and bobs. I had no idea gold was getting such a price. Unbelievable. x

FQ, a few years ago we sent some old bits of gold jewellery away in of of those envelopes that used to come round. I forget how much we got, but a fair amount.

We did that when they first started advertising on tv. Can't remember how much we got,but we were pleasantly surprised.

Wow FQ that was a nice surprise , i have loads of bits i never wear i will have to look into that

Clover i bought them on line , mine you could get in about 10 colours with whatever combination of embroidery you wanted in whatever colour , and lots of designs
Think it was only about £12 , i also bought those silicon cage things that go under to keep the cloth away from your mouth let you breath better .

Photo would have been better if i wasnt so tired and was fighting to keep my eyes open but B insisted in taking them then

Clover have they said how long it will take ? its a big job isnt it but best get it done before the winter xx

Gem , well we all know what you do in your spare time then hahaha MIrror Mirror on the wall

I have just had a shower , I had just shoved on my Red Cardigan that needed a wash when i went to Hairdressers , and it got full of hairs that went down my back .
I knew it would need washing when i got back but hoped it would save me itching , it didnt , the plastic cover they put over me kept slipping so it got covered

I couldnt find my shower cap and as my hair had just been done i ended up with a carrier bag wrapped around my head to protect my hair ,
B said see they come in handy for something dont they hahaha

Thank you MR Tesco , Typical when i came out i remembered where my Shower cap was

The sun is still out and its quite warm but i think its set to change tomorrow ,

Oma look in to it defiantly. It was just a few bits of old stuff that I’d had for years and was never going to wear again. I mostly wear silver now and a few key pieces.

Plant - your sister does very well to be living relatively independently at 92. What a pity you can't get to visit her - I'm sure you'd both enjoy it. I'm sure she's delighted to have her son over for her birthday.

FQ - we were getting worried about you. xx Sorry to hear you've been feeling poorly. First your tumble now your fairy-donated germs. Poor little doggy - ears get so painful as well. I always put vinegar on wasp stings (diluted for a dog) and that seems to help - but not on bee stings.

Oma - our weather did brighten up later in the morning and I got all the dark coloured dog bedding dried outside. I'll do her towels, tea towels and a pillow case tomorrow if it's ok. How can one dog generate so much washing!!

Our GD1 is off school with a cold - along with about half her school it seems. I hope GD2 doesn't catch it, but I suppose she will.

Gem - you've been a busy lady today.

Nanto - glad you in-laws are ok. Do they worry about Covid?

I had no idea odd bit of gold jewellery could fetch so much. I haven't got much as I've always worn silver and my rings are white gold
