    Good morning all.

Feeling slightly confused I've had several texts from eon reminding me that my smart meter is being installed this morning but this appointment was cancelled by them weeks ago and reschedule for next Friday. When I looked at my online account it confirms that its for Friday 2nd July. I am cracking on with the washing convinced that no one will be here .

Its a lovely day here so far albeit a little chilly in the shade.

We have a fridge freezer in our kitchen which is taking some getting used to as we had a very large separate freezer and a large fridge . The freezer seems sooo small . We didn't have enough room in the kitchen here compared to the kitchen where we used to live so we had to opt for something that would take up less room.

Plant good for you with the note. I would have been tempted to take a photo of the car ( number plate obscured) and posted it on your local police Facebook page !
Have you received an apology. .

Going to book a table at our local later today for tomorrow lunchtime We are treating eldest DS to lunch.

    Have a good day everyone.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning (just!). It's been a busy morning - I followed OH down to the garage to have some work done on his car, and brought him back. Then straight out for a walk in the Forest with our neighbour. We were out for nearly 2 hours and it got very warm - the dogs were glad of a paddle in the river and a drink. Then the garage phoned to say OH's car was ready, so back to the village to collect it, and just home.

It started off really cold this morning and I wore a fleece for our walk - it's now 20 and sunny! I'm not complaining as we need to do some gardening this afternoon.

Plant - what a cheek parking in a designated space - I'd have left a note, too! It's no fun when you've got a baby and shopping to deal with, and it would have been all the same if your GD had been on her own.

Mimi - poor you - the pollen takes no prisoners, does it. I don't suppose having the ceiling done didn't help either because it's bound to make dust. It will be interesting to see what happens about the smart meter. The meter may be smart but eon's admin doesn't sound smart at all.

Oma - your garden looks lovely - so colourful and I do like the bucket plant pots. I hope you really are having a nice relaxing day with Storm.

Gem - I'm so glad you're enjoying your holiday. I hope the weather stays good for you.

Nanto - I bet you're almost ready to tuck in to that full English. Enjoy!

I'm glad you have nice weather now Daisy.

No Sun, said the forecast. We had to nip to Boots to buy suncream whilst we were out!! It clouded over mid afternoon, but is still warm. Warmer than yesterday, as despite full sun all day it was breezy.

Full english was enjoyed by both of us.

Mimi, they probably haven't updated their system about your smart meter.

This morning was very sunny. This afternoon it is sun and cloud.

We are eating out on Friday. Both of us want to try their fish and chips.
Going to a pub called the Cherry Tree.

Spent a pleasant hour in my sunroom with my knitting and audible book, it is a bit too hot in there now.

I wouldn’t expect GD would receive an apology about the car parking space as it just has a number on the space and they wouldn’t know whose it was. I was very tempted to park behind it but it would have inconvenienced the others who park there.

When I hear you talk about fish and chips it makes me wish I liked them. I am not a chip lover and would only eat the fish with the better taken off. Enjoy yours Nanto.

Gemini, so pleased you are having fine weather, makes a holiday.

Plant - it must be very relaxing in your sun room on a nice day!

No, I don't suppose GD will receive an apology but there's no excuse for them not to use a visitor parking space unless it was a dire emergency!

Nanto - The Cherry Tree could become a weekly treat if the fish and chips are nice! Glad you enjoyed dinner.

Gem - it's a good day when you have to shoot off the beach to get suncream! I hope you have a great time with the Omas tomorrow - just make sure you all behave yourselves! xxx

Mimi - no matter how much you want to downsize I think it's always hard adapting to less space whether it's the garden, the living room or the fridge freezer. I like to keep all opened jars in the fridge plus a variety of beers, soft drinks and white wine so one of our two fridge freezers is more 'storage' rather than in daily use.

We ended up with two fridge freezers when we needed the freezer space to store dog food, years ago. We always said when one of them breaks we'll replace them with a big larger fridge and an upright freezer - it makes far more sense. But in fact the current system is fine, it's just a bit disconcerting for visitors when they hear us say things like 'I'll get the pudding out of the dog's fridge.'

We've had a useful afternoon in the front garden - weeding and hoeing, planting some new flowers, setting up my lovely new birdbath and digging out a couple of self-seeded trees that were right by the house.

We treated ourselves to a glass of wine in the garden when we'd finished - it's been a nice day today.

Good morning, Nanto. When did you pop into my garden to take that picture! (I wish!!!)

We've got hazy sun at the moment, and OH is just off with the trailer for his exciting appointment at the tip. He tries to get early morning slots otherwise there are queues, despite the appointment system!

I've got plenty of jobs to be getting on with today - but I'll pop back later.

I hope the Geminis and the Omas have a great day - as I said last night, just behave yourselves, if possible!

                          Good morning all.

A bit dull here , but there is sun expected later.

                          That's a beautiful picture Nan2.
Daisy I'm sure we will be very well behaved You were industrious in the garden yesterday!
I hope the decorating goes well Plant.

We had a walk on the beach last night. As well as the usual seabirds we saw bunnies (usually only seen in the long grass or darting across the road) and a horse with rider
The sea was miles out. Thank goodness I had my trusty Crocs, as there is a lot of seaweed to navigate when its if that far out !
The Omas are coming today. It is about 18 months since we met. We usually meet a couple of times a year, and then Oma and I at Christmas and in Birmingham too with the rest of you ladies who go.
We have booked a table at a pub a couple of miles away.

                          Have a good day everyone.

                            Have fun today Gemini.

Decorator here, I emptied the bathroom for him, it is amazing how much is in a small bathroom. I have an appt. at the surgery this morning for the injection for my bones. Our surgery has now got an appt. system on line. It shows a torso and you have to mark where the pain is then answer questions about how long you have had the symptoms. It took me ages to answer all the questions, how can you explain you ave a clonking neck. They asked for your opinion on the system, so I left one!!
Outdoor bowls this afternoon, the neck will be clonking well.

I thought that pictures was my garden Nanto, but we do not have a lake.

Morning coffee here and lunch out with the Omas. SO good to see them again.
We then came home, got changed and went onto the beach for a couple of hours as it was lovely and sunny.
Clouding in now ready for tomorrows rain I think.
