She is growing so fast, no bother at all, I asked if she was staying the night but she said she has to be at football early tomorrow so will come another time.

Lizzie - your GD's apple pie looks delicious. What a lovely warm smile she's got.
Nanto - that is such good news for your DS2. I'm sure he's very pleased and relieved. They must value him.
Gem - I'm sure your mum will love her balloon, cards and presents. Will you be able to have a video call with her tomorrow?

Pretty girl Lizzie!
Now I fancy a slice of Appelgebaak!!!!
Good news Plant and Oma! OH should be due a diabetic check up, but I don't hold out much hope for him getting one soon!
DS booked to go back on Thursday. I shall miss him this time, but he says he'll be back again early in the New Year so we have that to look forward to.
I've had one of those days where I seem to have done/achieved nothing. Did Pilates this morning and Waitrose came. The girl who was delivering was very upset because the previous lady had shouted at her and was very rude to her. I offered her a cup of tea, but she said no. Think she just needed to get it off her chest. I felt quite sorry for her. There's no need to be rude to people who are doing their job. Waitrose have stopped delivering in plastic bags now, thank goodness because I've got a boxful in the garage!. They bring the crate to the door and you unload it yourself.
Fish fingers and chips for dinner tonight, back to childhood!
Have a good evening ladies xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Forgot to say, good news about your DS2 Nanto. SO many redundancies and lay offs at the moment, it must be a worrying time for many families. DD is up to her eyes in trying to keep people in their jobs, but not knowing if the hotels are going to be able to operate or not. Glad I'm old and retired!Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WeeGranny - does your OH usually have his diabetic check up at the surgery or the hospital? Surely they can't still be cancelling these routine but vital checks! My BIL was saying yesterday that the hospital where his DD is a nurse cleared 200 beds for Covid patients at the start of the pandemic. Currently 199 of them are empty! I know they have to be prepared for a rise is hospitalisations, but so many people are having important procedures delayed or cancelled.
You will miss your DS, but at least, all being well, it's not too long until he comes back. Poor delivery girl - there really is no excuse for customers being rude like that. Sainsburys have also stopped using bags, thank goodness. We use them to line our little kitchen bin! I put a couple of washing baskets in the hall to transfer the shopping into.

I had my diabetic check this morning at the local health centre , only one patient every 30 minutes , all done safely .
WG what a shame she should report it to her boss , it will be that woman's own fault if they refuse to deliver too her again , shame on her , just no need for it , makes me angry thinking about it how rude
You wont half miss your DS xx
My Asda delivery came this morning , they dont use bags either , i keep a big Ikea bag in the hall then just put everything in that and drag it through to the kitchenLast edited by Oma; 25-09-2020, 06:38 PM.Im not fat just 6ft too small

Thanks WG, with “slagroom”, whipped cream! There is no need to be nasty to a delivery girl.
Daisy, she is a very sweet girl to have here, they both are though, I have just taken her home, with her pie, on my way home the heavens opened. I could hardly see the road.Last edited by Lizzie48; 25-09-2020, 07:04 PM.

Good morning. Feels cold, but its not as windy as yesterday.
No supermarket shopping today. Only needed milk,so we got that from the local shop.
Its a lovely shop and they are always friendly and helpful. There is a post office in there as well.
I think we are going to the garden centre, hopefully will be able to eat there.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning Nanto, and thank you for the lovely autumn colours this morning. What a hand little shop to have close by. Corner shops have to work hard to stay in business these days - there's so much competition.
It's sunny here and not so windy. OH had an appointment with the dump this morning - with a full trailer! No other plans at the moment, but lots of things to do. The recent rain has made weeding a bit easier so I might tackle some of those.
Have a good Saturday, ladies.

Good morning ladies ,
Cold but dry and windy here ,
Did my housework downstairs during night so this morning i did my ironing then dusted through the bedrooms and bathroom
B hoovered through for me and the stairs so now only the floors to wash
Nanto its handy to have a little shop nearby , we have a coop petrol station at top of our back road , you can get almost anything in there , very handy oif you dont need to go to big shops .
Daisy are you going to tip with J or is he going alone ?
Ours even if i go with B at the moment only one person is supposed to get out of the car unless its something heavy that takes two to carry
Hope everyone has a good Saturday xxxx

Good morning my dears.
Nan2, when DD left last night with the GC I commented how autumnal it seemed to have suddenly become. I hope you eat at the garden centre.
Our tip suspended the appointment system a while ago, you just turn up. They are not allowed to help you any more. No rules as to how many people get out, so we both put things into the containers. I hate going, OH thinks it is a fun trip out!
Mum's birthday, I took her presents yesterday when passing on the school run. I am not allowed to visit today so I wont see her, which had been my plan until the rules changed a few days ago. We may try a phone call.
This evening I am going out!!! I will make new thread about this.
