WeeGranny - it was a good job you got the doctors to check your OH's wound. Thank goodness they saw him promptly too. You probably near a bit of a break from sorting things out. It's very tiring - not just physically, but all the inner conversations "shall we keep that or not". It's surprising what people want in terms of old hi fi equipment, and with a lot of people going back to vinyl some speakers etc are better. But you're right - if you're downsizing even a little bit you need to choose what stays and what goes.

Glamm - have you started on your decorating yet?

I've spent the afternoon starting another painting. It's the biggest I've done and feels quite intimidating at the moment!

The sun is shining,but its still very cold.

Hubby going for his 2nd jab this morning. I'm going with him,just for the ride.
Will take a magazine for the few minutes i'm sat in the car waiting.
Or, i might just sit and people watch.

Steak and onion pie for dinner today,with homemade chips and peas.
Pie is big enough for 2 days though. I didn't have any small foil plates.

Getting all my childcare days in together this week, it's GD and GS2 today. GD will be going out for a while this afternoon. DD2's best friend, R, is the mum of one of GDs best friends (the girls were born within 3 days of each other and been friends since babyhood). They go to different schools so this past year have hardly seen each other. They live a couple of miles away from me. R is taking them out to spend some time together. GS is always happy to stay here, so as it's cold we probably will!

Gem hope GD has a lovely day even though its very cold .

Went to Morrisons for it opening at 7 it may look nice out but its freezing ,
Started the car and pressed the window washer and the liquid froze like hail stone instantly

Got dog today and B is cleaning the oven that as exciting as it gets

WG, I hope your OH's wound will heal nicely now he is on antibiotic.

I am really cross, I am due my 2nd jab on Friday but I now have a cold. I looked on the NHS website and it says I would still be able to have the vaccine but I expect when I get there they will feel otherwise. I am keeping fingers crossed it has cleared up by then.

Oma, GS4 celebrated his birthday on Sunday because he had to work on the Monday.

We all seem to have the same cold weather, no snow today but a very cold wind and showers. I am trying to decide what to do indoors.

Good morning everyone. Guess what - it's cold here as well! The frost overnight felled my lovely tulips. Some seem to be picking up again, but others look very sorry for themselves.

Nanto - you have an absolute gift for making me feel hungry way before lunch-time! Can I pop round, please?

Gem - it sounds like a lovely child care day. But I'm sure GD will love spending time with her friend. My GD1 was desperate to see her friends when they went back. She'd seen her best friend briefly outside when they got their info packs for their new school, but that was all. They need their social life, don't they!

Oma - I bet Storm is loving this cold weather - it was meant for him! Does he get all excited?

WeeGranny - how is your OH this morning? I hope the antibiotics are doing their job and he feels more comfortable. Are you back on the sorting out cupboards treadmill today?

Lizzie - I bet you've come up with something creative for a day at home today. How is your BIL after his trip to his son's over Easter?

I've got to do the Sainsburys order, but our internet is on a go slow again, and I need to get on with some housework before the whole building disappears under a layer of dog hair! Ugh! I've put a load of whites in but I don't suppose there's much use hanging them out on the line. Such an exciting day!

Daisy, BIL should be now on his way home, he seems to have really enjoyed the change.

About the GD,s, GD2 was showing me her school report and they have to write their own story in it, is was about the lock down, she said she missed the school but missed her friends the most!!

I received a mail from P&O yesterday, my booking is now open to September 2022. Who knows, I may get across sometime!!

Daisy we cant get Storm to come indoors when its this cold he loves it , He has just had Roasted duck leg meat and rice for lunch so is laying in the garden with a food baby belly

Well my wall art arrived and was packed back up to send back , so disappointed with it , it was much smaller than I thought and looked cheap .
I will wait till I can get out and find something in the shops .

I had a phone call this morning from someone claiming to be a policeman (you know the old scam). He asked for Mr or Mrs Barrett before he told me who he was so I said I was Mrs Barrett, when I realised it was a scam I told him to get lost, he said was I transgender as I sounded like a man. I told him to get lost and get a proper job. What a cheek.

Sil and his brothers and sisters are all on their way to his mother's nursing home as they say she is very poorly.

Oma,I have not ever attempted any DIY ever in my life (I like to be in charge of the pretty stuff) imagine the shock I got at the price of paint and how would I know that you needed different paint for different things such as radiators then there's rollers and trays and masking tape stuff I forgot to get the cleaner thingy for the brushes so had to go back Up until last night I have completed 2 x radiators and will do 2 x more tomorrow I just don't think I am cut out for this painting lark

We have GS's Football team group Photo up when he played for Sunderland but I want to put that up the stairs with all the other family photos , to be honest I have never liked it on the sitting room wall , I love him dearly and we are very proud of him but Football pictures in the sitting room isn't for me , I sound a horrible Grandmother don't I

Glamm well your having a go that's the main thing , you should have bought water based gloss with that you just wash the brushes out with water and it doesn't go yellow in time .
I buy Wilko's ever white non drip ,

Take it slowly and you will get there , its amazing what you can do when you try and you have the satisfaction when its finished

Glamma, i hate decorating. Hubby used to do it all.but he's not bothered about doing it now.
Nephew is a painter and decorator,and we prefer to pay him to do it.

Hubby had his 2nd jab this morning.
Hairdresser has phoned and appointment been made.

Got a letter and a card from friend in Australia this morning.
We always send each others cards early.
She was saying the covid vaccine was rolled out in the middle of march.
They are hoping everyone is vaccinated by october.

Oma ,right then water based paint is the order for the other doors after the kitchen , Nanto I wish one of my DGSs was available to do the painting but the are both busy with work at the moment and GS1 wouldn't know what end of the paintbrush the paint went on but he is good at cleaning up so his intentions are good.
