Good morning everyone. Many thanks for the selection of gorgeous graphics to start the week.

Mimi - how exciting to have grey paint for your new garden's fences. I sympathise - my OH tends to stick to the traditional, although I did persuade him that my summerhouse was painted a soft blue. The fact that due to a mix up in Sir's shopping for the paint meant they ended up soft green was OK! We had slate chipping in the front garden about 5 years ago and they are really good. They would look fabulous against the grey fence. I do feel for you with not seeing DD because of the Iron Curtain between us and Wales. OH's oldest sister and his youngest brother live in Wales with their children in England. His sister and her husband haven't seen their two DDs for well over a year and it's heartbreaking.

Gem - I was thinking about you and your mum yesterday afternoon. Perhaps she didn't seem very happy because she was just overwhelmed at seeing you again after all this time. Hopefully she will be a bit more relaxed on Friday. I hope you can get the information for all the paperwork. It's frustrating when the 'gate keepers' don't respond.

Oma - your living room will look amazing. I bet you can't wait! I hope the chat with the doctor goes better than you're expecting. xx

Nanto - take it easy, relax and enjoy your coffee.

I'm going to get my shower - the internet is dodgy this morning, and I keep losing the connection. Back later - hopefully!!

Good morning, our vaccinations have been cancelled, until they make their minds up.

My neighbour opposite has died, he was 88 years old, I phoned her last week and she said he was home to die. I have known them for years.

I have just got a holiday booked, well my neighbour has, they have a caravan and are going to a farm camping near the belguim border, I asked if they minded if I booked a B&B in the area for a few nights, he had a better idea, there is a gypsy style caravan on the camping and he has already booked it for me for 3 nights in June.

Had chat with Dr , yes sugars are up but it was more that my White blood count was high so have to have more bloods done next week ,
He thinks I may have had a virus or something , I did say I had not been feeling 100% lately so that may be the reason .

More sugar bloods in 3 month see if they go down ,

Oakland furniture is very nice Oma, will Storm approve? New carpet too? It doesn't seem long since you had a new carpet. I loved your advice to Nanto, is that how you get what you want? Poor B he doesn't stand a chance.

Lovely sunny morning, as usual I am not dressed yet. Had a lovely weekend, GS1, his wife and GC came for a Mothers Day visit, just in the drive. I had a lovely card from GGS. GS2 cooked lunch with his father for us, sprouts were a bit hard but I like them firm. We watched the rugby later, good match. Bedding change today, must get on, talk again later.

Its 3 years since I got this carpet .

Good afternoon, I’m feeling a bit brighter today thank you. I slept better last night which makes a difference and the sun is shining too. I have Dexter with me and we have been busy in the garden. Well, I have and he’s been watching! Just moved a few empty pots to the area behind the shed. I’ve decided Im not doing many pots this year, just a few geraniums and my lavender. I’m going to make life a bit easier, so not so much watering.

Sad about your neighbour Lizzie, but nice to have a holiday to look forward to. DD has a cottage booked for June, carried forward from last year, and she is keeping everything crossed they will be able to go. I have booked the cottage we love in Devon again for December, Hope we get there 🤞

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Just spent a good few hours cleaning the vacuum cleaner.
DS used it to clean up after he had put the tv on the wall in the bedroom. He did mention it needed a clean but I told him I would do it today . It was full of brick dust and by heck it takes some shifting. I have washed the filters but to get into the nooks and crannies I had to sacrifice one of my makeup brushes to reach inside

Lizzie sorry to hear about your neighbour

                  Oma how are you feeling

Enfys good to see that you are feeling a little better today
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Im ok Mimi thanks , I feel ok just the past few weeks its been niggly things like a bit Vertigo a sniffle and general aches and pains so maybe I have had a bug and not known about it

Hate cleaning the hoover out it stinks doesn't it , and the dust sticks in the most awkward places ,
Another thing I hate cleaning is the soap draw in the washing machine always slimy and gunky yuk

Enfys I do hope you get to go this year you need something to look forward too ,

Lizzie, I'm sorry to hear about your neighbour. I'm sure his wife is pleased you phoned a few days ago. How is she coping? The gypsy style caravan sounds fun, just hope the weather is nice for you.

Plant, you certainly had a busy, but lovely week-end.

Oma - I thought your living room carpet was quite new as well. Still, if you fancy a new one, why not! I hope your results are better next week. Try and relax and give yourself a chance to fend off any infections.

Mimi - what a awful job, cleaning the hoover - it's bad enough using the darn'd thing! The soap dispenser is another horrible job, and the design never makes it easy for you.

Enfys - I'm pleased to see you're feeling a bit better. Pots in the garden are a lot of work, especially when they need a lot of watering. How nice to have Dexter for a bit of company while you potter.

I have spent a long time today putting phone numbers in our new house phone. Much needed - we hadn't realised quite how bad our old one was, but a friend of OH's rang and I literally didn't recognise his voice, it sounded so different!

Good morning, I am awake far too early! Thanks all of you, I haven't spoken to the neighbour yet , they live opposite me, I sent a card yesterday. I hadn't a card to send, with the shops still being closed I went to the only shop in the village I thought would sell them , they don't anymore, I cycled past another shop, they have 10 minute slots for shopping, you have to book though, I saw they sold cards so I was very cheeky and stood at the door waiting, the girl came and asked if I had booked a slot, I told her about the card I wanted and she said "2 minutes" so I got a few cards whilst there. She was very friendly about it. I am just thinking, there is another shop I could have gone to but I didn't think about that yesterday.

Mimi, that brick dust sticks to everything in the hoovers. Oma, I hope you are feeling better now, I never use the drawer in the washer anymore, I put the liquid or powder in with the wash, only thing is if you use softener you can't put that in!

It is June when the holiday is booked, well, a mid week. I was talking to BIL yesterday and he said DS2 and family are booked to go to Minorca in June, I hope it goes through for them.

Enfys, I have pots on the balcony and they do need a lot of watering, especially with the hot sun. I have told myself less plants this year, I wasn't going to bother with the hanging baskets until I saw all the plants my veg man has ready, I changed my plans!

Gem, I hope you are not upset at finding your mum not too happy on Sunday, it is understandable, I expect in her heart all she wants to be is back home.

                          A bright morning again.

Topped all the vases of flowers with water.
Dinner prepared, jacket potatoes with cheese and beans for hubby, just butter for me.

I use liquid for the washing and put it in a dispensing ball, straight in with the clothes.

One of these is handy for cleaning the washer drawer. SonicScrubber | Power Cleaning System

Its very handy,i use it for lots of jobs.

                          Have a good day ladies.

Morning ladies , sun is out and its not too cold ,
We have Storm today rather than Tomorrow as he is booked in to have his nails clipped tomorrow .

Nanto I use washing pods but fabric soft in the drawer ,
I have a old re-charge toothbrush I use for little fiddly bits .

Just done my ironing , I washed yesterday but couldn't be bothered to iron yesterday

Buzz DD's naughty cat came in with a scratched nose ,ear and eye yesterday and was filthy ,

He thinks he is the boss of the area and fights any other cat but looks like he has met his match this time ,
DD couldn't bath his scratches as he was sitting so angry thumping his tail , she wasn't taking any chances till he calmed down .

How are we all this morning ? hope everyone feeling ok ,xxx

I have just been to get my haircut! I went in the car as rain is forecast, workmen are working in the first flat and were parked in front of my garage, I asked, nicely, if they could move as I wanted to be in the garage, he replied in broken Dutch " I have work to do", so I politely told him I had a car to get out of the garage. He did move and it when I got back they have moved the trailer completely so someone else must have complained, one thing they have done is hang a notice in the flat warning us there could be noise and they have covered all the walk area's completely so they will stay clean. What they are doing I do not know!

                                Good morning everyone

                                I love jacket potatoes Nan2.
Lizzie, how sad about your neighbour. Having a holiday booked is a lovely thing to look forward to at any time, this year more than ever. I have been a bit upset about mum yes, I have spent the last couple of days processing it all in my mind! I will update on the case home thread.
Oma, as you say you have probably had some sort if infection laying you a bit low and raising your white cell count. Hopefully all will be tickety boo soon!
Enfys, sunshine and a good nights sleep really can have a very beneficial effect on our moods. Early days, you are getting there xx
I'm glad it was a nice Mother's Day weekend for you Plant.

GS1 from school this afternoon. I will gauge how my knee is today before deciding whether to park where I did last week. I will also take my folding walking stick which I didn't last time!

I have a long and involved form to fill in online then print off so that is one of the tasks of the day. It is for Attendance Allowance for my mum. We only recently found out she has been entitled to this once she had been in care for 6 months, and we are almost at 12 month now. I needed a lot of the questions answered by the care home. I have those back now so I will do that and get it signed by the manager when I go in on Friday.

Rainy here. OH and friends have a walk at 11. Fingers crossed they do it, they had to give up last week due to torrential rain! It's not heavy now and is forecast to get lighter by 11 I think,

                                Happy Tuesday ladies.
