Whether the scientists are telling the truth or not, I think there is an element of truth in what they said. I seem to remember at the beginning there was achart which showed how many other people one person could infect and it sounds as if that is still the case. Like Oma I think we'll have a national lock down sometime in the not too distant future. I wonder if it might happen over half term?

Gem sorry to hear about visits . Very sad.,and about your DD1's house sale too. Nothing seems to be moving in this area either and what is on the market , the prices are being reduced.

Gem - I'm so sorry your DD1's house sale has fallen through. It almost seems the norm at the moment. Our 'cash buyer' for my cousin's house still hasn't exchanged, but wanted us to give her a key to put her furniture in the house. You can guess what we said! A member of staff in the estate agents should have exchanged on Friday and her sale fell through as well. I'm wondering if the mortgage companies are holding back on granting mortgages? But whatever the reason, I feel so sorry for your DD1 and SIL.

Have visits to your mum actually been stopped now, or is it part of the proposed changes?

I'm so glad we saw both sons yesterday - who knows when we'll see them again at this rate.

Daisy North Yorkshire County Council have said all care home visits to stop immediately. Due to the rising cases.
DD's buyer was a first time buyer. The reason he gives is the house is too close the the river. It's not that close, has never flooded and was as near to the river when he chose to buy it as it is now!!

I'm standing in on the library front desk whilst the librarian has her lunch. No customers atm!

Gem - I'm so sorry care home visits have been cancelled for you. I hope your mum understands it's not your choice, but even so it's hard on you both. xxx

Gem - DD's buyer is having a laugh!! What a stupid reason to give, assuming no risk factors came up in the questions or searches. I do hope they get another buyer quickly.

FairQueen - sorry it's take a while, but I've put my DIL2's Gluten-free bread recipe in the Recipes section.

I have just read that there is a Covid outbreak in a care institution in the next village, 20 of the staff and 12 of the patients, one of them has died. Scaring!!!!

Hello all. Daisy thank you for the bread recipe I will have a look. Listening to the scientists this am it does seem all gloom and doom. My neighbour round the corner from us is just getting over cv19. He caught it off his daughter who had been in a hotel in the Midlands. Not seen Him for a few days. I hope we don’t have another lockdown. 😳

Gem, what a shame visits have been cancelled, but what can you do.
Silly reason buyer gave for backing out of DD's house sale.

Lizzie, sad that one person has died.

Just been on Amazon and ordered some Blak Opium perfume for one GD2 birthday presents.
Her birthday isn't until November, but i like to shop early.

Gem care home, hospital visits etc were stopped here last week ,

Lizzie sad for the family of the person who passed away , i know how it feels losing my brother too it in April , so unexpected and shocking

Gem that's a bit of a poor excuse , a risk assessment and survey will have been done when he decided to put in a offer ,im sure .

                    Good morning ladies.

Sun is up, but the weather is set to change after today.

                    In laws later.

                      Good morning all.

Nan2, that's the forecast, and a copy of last week! Nice when OH and are busy, all changes on our free day Wednesday.
Golf for OH this morning, GS1 school pick up for me this afternoon.
I feel a lot less out of sorts with myself than I did yesterday. I'm still upset about not seeing mum, especially on her birthday, but my being down won't change anything. DD1 has 3 more potential buyers viewing the house this week. Fingers crossed no set backs this time.

                      Have a good day everyone.

                        Good morning
Dull and cloudy here but hopefully staying dry. Rain tomorrow. Sorry you can’t visit your Mum Gem what a shame. Hope other half enjoys her golf. We live at the back of a golf course and it’s a great place to walk our dog as a public footpath runs right through it. No plans today just a few jobs.
                        Enjoy the day ladies. x

                          Good morning everyone.

The forecast for us today is good, and the sun is doing its best to live up to it. But it's all due to change tomorrow, so I shall try and make the most of today.

Nanto - I hope your in laws are ok. Do they worry about coronavirus?

Gem - I'm glad you're feeling more up beat than yesterday. I think we have to have days where it all seems a bit hopeless and then drag ourselves back to some level of optimism and counting our blessings. Fingers crossed for your DD1 and the potential buyers.

Fairyqueen - how nice to have the golf course so close and with a public footpath as well. There are a couple of golf courses here which are on open Forest, which means there are ponies, cattle etc wandering round the fairways. I think they have special rules for dealing with golf balls that land in cow pats etc!!

I should have been having Cooper today, but he's got an inflamed ear, so he and Eva will have to wait until he's better for their play date. Still no idea what's happening about my cousin's house except the potential buyer's removal van is parked in the parking space and a load of pot plants have appeared on the patio!!! We're not amused because they haven't even had the courtesy to ask.

Daisy that's taking liberties and rude its not their property yet , but being so far away they taking advantage , hope everything is locked up and you dont find them squatting

Nanto hope in laws are fine xx

Gem we all have days when we feel down but you have a good reason for feeling like that , your poor Mum having to celebrate her Birthday without you and not being able to see her must be so hard ,xxx

FQ nice to be able to walk the dog there apart from flying balls it must be peaceful

Sun is out but set to change tomorrow for us all , need to take some stuff to the recycle centre at some point this week in case of lockdown or my back garden will look like a lumber yard ,
Old cupboard from loo in pieces a small set of drawers , old garden table and B decided to sort his shed out yesterday, plus the radiator cabinet he took off in sitting room to make a new one , so quite a pile building up

Hope everyone is ok today xxx

                              Good moaning each.
                              Beautiful day here.
Feeling better today, no pain in the head yet.
I went to emergency eye clinic yesterday as instructed. I met Catherine Tate’s Gran in the waiting area! She even looked like her, and the language was as ripe to say the least...🤣🤣🤣. Thank goodness for my mask. How I controlled myself I do not know, it was so funny.
Our friends live in the next road to the hospital so OH parked there and had lunch with them. I joined them after my appointment. It was such a lovely afternoon. I’m not looking forward to the colder weather tomorrow.
I will try my skills at one handed ironing this morning
                              Have a good day goils.

Gemini, sorry to hear your DD1 buyer has decided not to go ahead with the sale. Hope one of the new viewers makes an offer. I hope the staff explain to your mum that you are not allowed to visit because of the virus.

Boris is going to make an announcement in the commons this morning about the next move to stop the cases rising. I heard it might be 2 week half term with lockdown. I hope the panic buying doesn't start again.

I think I will have another go at the border I am changing but I also need to finish the garment I am knitting. The wool for the next project has already arrived, minus one set of needles which are on their way.

Had a go at the border, too dry so will try again after the rain we are forecast. For some reason my knees are not mine today, they feel weak and wobbly.
