WeeGranny - it's amazing how that can push prices up, isn't it, to say nothing of availability.

OH is watching Lady Chatterly’s Lover, I can remember reading ‘certain pages’ when we found a copy, covered in brown paper, in the blanket box. 😆 I have since read it as an adult but OH hasn’t. The film is the 2015 version.

To be honest i don't know how we have got it, but it's been in our cupboard all our married life.

Gem, hope you enjoyed your day with the grandchildren.

Fish and chips for dinner today,so no cooking for me.

            Good morning everyone.

Yum, fish and chips Nan2, we had those on Wednesday. They were lovely!
Oma, not we didn't watch that , or even know about it! I'm glad your GS's football trial went well. I agree with what you said recently though, it does seem strange that it can happen when most other things cannot. Golfers are desperate to get back out there, and it is much easier to socially distance playing golf!

A dull and drizzly day today. The freezing temperatures seem to have gone at least.
The hedgehog(s) have been up and had some food this week ,a sign of warmer nights.

No plans today. We'll see how the day unfolds.

            Take care everyone.

Good morning everyone. It's dull, damp and breezy here, but the sun is trying to get a look in!

Yumm, I haven't had fish and chips for months - probably over a year - and I love them!

Oma - I meant to watch the Mars landing, then forgot about it. Well done to your GS1 on his trial with Liverpool. I bet he was delighted he scored.

Gem - I agree - I really can't see why golfers and outdoor tennis players can't play. How lovely that your hedgehogs have come through the winter. I bet they're glad of a few snacks on mild nights.

I remember someone having a copy of Lady Chatterley's Lover at school at the time of the trial. We'd all huddle together at break and lunch while someone read out the "interesting" bits. All our school text books were covered in brown paper, so it wasn't hard to disguise it!

Bin day for us, and that's about it as far as excitement goes today!

Have a good day, ladies. xx

                Good moaning each.
Nanto2, compared with present day reading and films etc., Lady Chatterly is nothing, not even a particularly good story. The costumes in the film were the best thing, especially hers.
Up and dressed early, it’s dustbin day!
Another day avoiding the knitting machine for me.
                Happy Friday ladies.

Daisy, you are overdue some fish and chips!

Oma,saw the Mars landing on the news this morning.

The most exciting thing here so far,is the tablets have been delivered from Echo.
Going to the fish shop in an hour, that might be exciting.

Well we must all have a bin collection on a Friday my chaps came at 7-30am and woke up the neighbourhood with their banging of the bins.

Oma I bet your DGS was so elated scoring a goal on his trial they really are so good with the boys at the Academy how long will he have to wait for their feedback I remember my eldest boy being scouted for Tranmere when he was 12 and invited for trials but he unfortunatly got appendicitis and couldn't attend he was gutted.
he did go on to play for his regiment for 3 yrs and they won a few inter regiment trophies he still plays now training the junior league on Sunday's.

My most exciting thing happening to me today has been doing my on line order for my meat and ready meal order from Donald Russell they do the most amazing ready meals not at all expensive as there is no waste and with me being not able to get out they are a great change from the usual supermarket I do an order about once a month to ring in the changes.

Daisy I do think Jim will be difficult agreeing to a care package he is very "old school" when it comes to people coming into his home,he just about lets me into his kitchen when I deliver his Sunday lunch so carers stand no chance.

This morning I received a letter from my friend in high places Matt Hancock to tell me I must now isolate until 31st March as I am classed as vunerable because of the diabetes and copd but I feel very well and have done for quite a while after the horrendous year we have had.

There is nothing to do in the house today I am not even going to look around to see what I could possibly do and will sit and watch TV for the afternoon and cuddly up with Oliver if he comes indoors after prowling the gardens being boss cat.

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies x

Rubbish all gone, feeling pleased with myself. Not so pleased about my warfarin check, still too high so they have changed my dose again and have to go back in 2 weeks.

Well done your GS for scoring a goal, he must be pleased Oma.

Grauntie, I am trying to avoid my sewing machine and the table runner. I think I have, with the help of Utube, found out what I have to do next but not feeling too confident.

Gemini, so pleased to hear the hedgehogs have survived the winter.

Glamm im not sure when he will hear , To be honest im not sure he is keen to go even if he is offered the place , he also has three other clubs who want him to try for them but we think its more important to get a good education ,
Thing about Academy's if the kids get injured and unable to play again they not interested in them anymore and then where does that leave the boys ?

                              Lots to consider .

Done my ironing then stood at the bedroom window for ages watching our Squirrel feeding from the new feeding table B put up on the fence

Plant maybe leave the runner for a few days then go back to it ,

Gem are the hedgehogs due to come out of hibernation yet ?

Oma, it is the same here with the football, DS1 friend has a son, he played a long time in the Feyenoord youth, they didn't live close by so had to travel a few times a week for the training, when he became 16 years old, I am not sure what happened but that was the end of it and he had to go back to his school work.

I have cleaned my windows, using my new steps! Then hoovered through etc and just been for a bike ride for my eggs, it was very windy but I enjoyed it, I got a huge bunch of tulips, 60 of them, on my way home from a grower. I have to treat myself sometimes!
