    Morning ladies
Nanto we have a nice bright morning too , well so far ,
I love fruit loaf , put the kettle on im on my way

Daisy is it a tile that has moved or just the force of the rain ? , Just as well you noticed .

Enfys when do you head home ?

Gem what was the concert like ?

Did a white wash this morning got that dried , general cleaning around and B hoovered the stairs for me ,
Had a nice long hot shower and breakfast , just 1 slice of toast don't feel hungry this morning but must eat something with my Diabetes tablets.

Not a lot to do today to be honest so i will go with the flow ,

Had a phone call late last night to say a friends Dad had passed away , He was only 65

I was already feeling emotional as one of my nieces sent me a Video of my Brother playing Jenga last Christmas day
He looked so fit and happy , hard to believe just 4 month later he would leave us so nice to hear his voice and laugh though .

Have a good day ladies xxx

      Good morning dear ladies.
A dry and sunny one here. We need the rain to stay away as there is flooding.

Plant, I'm very sorry to hear about your friend, and that your SIL's brother has been so poorly.
Aww, Oma, seeing your brother would be bitter sweet x

It was lovely to have the GC staying. As usual GS felt he hadn't been here long enough!
The concert was lovely Oma. I think it is being televised over Christmas?
This morning a friend is coming for us to exchange Christmas cards. She will stay for coffee. We may sit outside, or do the conservatory/dining room method!
We have newsletters and Christmas cards to deliver for the LibDems, my usual round. We may do that this afternoon as I think rain is forecast again tomorrow.

      Have a good day everyone.

Nice bright morning but very damp after yesterday's late rain. I must finish wrapping the Christmas presents and do a doorstep delivery to DS's family and GS1 's family this week. Had a nice take-away curry with the family yesterday evening.

Oma that must have been bitter sweet seeing the picture of your brother last Christmas.

Gemini, that concert sounds good, so pleased you enjoyed the night out. I could do with a night out.

GD2 is upset that her partner is now in North Yorkshire visiting his family for Christmas, he is due back on the 2nd January by car but will he be allowed or will he prefer to stay where he is, he has his computer with him and can work from there. GD2 wishes now, that in the present in the circumstances, she had gone with him.

Good morning...or is it afternoon? Lovely day here, we have been in the hot tub and have just had a little pampering session with face masks. Our last day and it has been so relaxing and I really feel it has done us both good.

Oma, we leave tomorrow morning so should be home well before lunch time.

we really hope we can come here again next year with the family, keeping everything crossed.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Quite a few plans have changed for some of. Frustratin.

One of the fruit loaves i made this morning has almost gone.
DS1 called on his way to work, took half a loaf with him.
Me and hubby have just sampled it woth cheese on.
Whats left of that loaf i will take to in laws. no good taking them a lot, because it will probably get thrown out, along with a lot of other stuff.

I forgot to say,GD2 passed her driving theory test on friday.

Nanto - congratulations to your GD2 on passing her driving test. It's lovely to hear some good news.

Enfys - safe journey back tomorrow. I'm glad you and your DD have had such a lovely time - I hope you feel better for all that relaxation. xx

Plant -I do feel sorry for people like your GD2 and partner, but I think travel in and out of Tier 4 is being discouraged rather than forbidden.

Gem - it would be lovely if the concert is going to be televised over Christmas. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm sure your GCs never want to go home after a sleepover.

Oma - I saw the video of your brother on FB and you couldn't help but think how fit and well he looked. Is it a comfort to hear his voice like that? It would be fore me, but perhaps not everybody. The summerhouse isn't tiled - it's just a felt roof, and I think the rain has blown in - it's only a shed really, so not that well built.

Friends called round today to deliver a card and presents, so we sat in the dining room with the french windows open and had a coffee and put the world to rights. It was lovely to see them.

I've done my Sainsbury order for tomorrow, but not much else. I just don't seem to be able to get going today!

Enfys, I am so glad that you and your DD had a lovely time. Making it an annual event sounds an excellent idea!
                Congratulations to your GD, Nan2!
                Poor GD, Plant
It is lovely to see friends isn't it Daisy, in these times of limited socialising?

                We have been busy!
Our friend came round this morning and we a had cuppa and chat. Her in the conservatory, our new entertaining area.
OH and I then went to a local garden centre as OH wanted a Christmas plant for a friend.
After lunch we went out and again and did our deliveries. We came back, OH cleaned the hedgehog diner and I marzipanned the Christmas cake. We then had a game of Scrabble.

Daisy hearing his voice and especially his laugh is wonderful , heart breaking but wonderful , he certainly didn't look 72 did he ,

Nice to have friends around for a good chat while you can still do that as lord knows what the new year will bring .

Plant clever GD well done to her xx

Gem you have been busy take it easy tonight xx

Enfys have a safe journey home , so pleased you had a good break xx

Nanto I bet your DS was glad he called in , lucky boy bet it was tasty .

This afternoon we cleared out the fridge got rid of odd jars of stuff that were not getting used , surprising what you buy use once and forget about ,
Then we tackled the main freezer , the smaller one we defrosted last week ready for Christmas stuff ,

We will need a new Fridge in the new year the shelves are getting a bit rickety in this one , they are Acrylic pull out ones and over time they crack

Then we sat down and sorted a Iceland delivery for tomorrow ,

Put kettle on and C our elderly neighbour called , came to say R had slept well last night and was eating well ,
wouldn't stay for a cupper she wanted to get back to him but wanted to tell us how he was ,
she looked like a huge weight had been lifted so nice to see her smiling .

Daisy,GD2 passed the theory test, not the actual driving test.

Hope neighbours husband is feeling better soon.

I tidied both freezers last week. Managed to get everything in after shopping yesterday.

Nanto - oops, sorry, but she's still done well to get her theory test out of the way. Lots of people fail lots of times!!

It sounds like we've all been tidying freezers. I did ours a couple of weeks ago before the dog food order arrived.

Oma - Your neighbour sounds much happier, and it seems R is making good progress. Did they operate on him? (Sorry if I've missed this somewhere) You're right, J didn't look anywhere near his 72 years. So sad. <hugs>

Gem - nice to get those deliveries out of the way. Was the garden centre busy? Yes, it was nice to see our friends, although that we were all sad to hear that a mutual friend, who was our GP for many years had passed away. It was expected, but he was a lovely man who worked tirelessly to improve the health and well being of his patients.

No cooper tomorrow, so I must get on with all the jobs I keep putting off. I did some ironing today, but not all of it, and haven't quite finished decorations. Although if I don't put any more up no-one will be the wiser, so I might just leave it at that!

Daisy the garden centre is a family run one, most of it outdoors and doesn't sell all the extras garden centres sell nowadays like cards and gifts, so it wasn't busy.
Good to hear your neighbour is on the mend Oma.

I found out today that my friend died of sepsis. Neighbour thought the infection started in her foot.

                            Feels chilly this morning.

Sad news about your friend Plant.

I'm making mince pies and rich coconut tarts this morning.

                              Morning Nanto /Ladies
Nanto your a lady after my own heart , yet another dish your making I like coconut tarts do you put a dollop of Jam on the top ? that's the way my Mam used to do them

Plant how sad Sepsis it horrendous , B had it a couple of times when he was ill and ended up in ICU on lots of drips , We think he was extremely lucky to get over it ,
How do you feel now ? it was such a shock for you wasn't it xxx

We went to Aldi at 7am it was so busy when we went in we came out again ,
There is nothing we need so urgently to warrant putting ourselves at risk for .

They have a traffic light system that no one takes notice of so everyone just piles in ,
Took one look at people leaning over others to get to shelves and how crowded in they were , we turned back around and headed for the exit .

I have taken the shower curtains down and put them in the washer with some bleach ,
I am not keen on shower curtains but because its a wet room we need them to stop the water getting everywhere , as its a very small room and sometimes B needs the shower chair in we cant have screens .

How are we all this morning ? I have been up since 3.30 so feeling tired now ,
We have a Iceland delivery at 12 may have a nap after xxx

                                Good morning dear friends.
The shortest day, so slowly nights will get less dark!

Nan2, I made mince pies the other day and froze them so we can just cook a few when we want them. I wish I had made coconut tarts too!
Good lord Oma, Aldi busy at 7am!? I hope you get a nap later.
Plant, how sad about your friend. What a year

This morning we plan to go to Marks And Spencer food hall for a few things. It is pretty safe and controlled in there so hopefully it will be OK. If it's not we'll come away and get what we need in our small local Sainsbury's.
I will ice the Christmas cake today, I put the marzipan on yesterday.
Library for me this afternoon. Quiz with friends tonight.

Have a good day and keep safe everyone.
