Good morning everyone! The sun's shining here, but it's quite breezy.

There are piles of washing to do, but I'm not sure I can trust the weather today - good excuse!

Gem - have a lovely time. It's nice to get out, isn't it.

WeeGranny - so sorry your poor neighbours couldn't have their barbecue yesterday!!! You must have been disappointed for them. It sounds as though you had a busy day. It's amazing how shredders recover from our over-enthusiastic shredding! What's the subject of your jigsaw - it sounds quite a challenge.

Nanto - I'll take the advice of your graphic - I think a nice relaxing day is in order. I might join Oma in the garden with my book.

Sunny here atm, not sure what the forecast is. We had real downpours yesterday afternoon, knocked out the television reception and streets were flooded. Hope it will stay fine, GS1 and the family are visiting today. GD2 is returning to London today, I know she will be happy to be with her partner but I don't think she is looking forward to going back. Her partner and the others in the flat have jobs so she is on her own whilst they are at work and she still hasn't found a job. She is very close to her mum, still loves a cuddle, I know my DD will miss her. I will miss her too.

I hope the weather stays fine for your outing Gemini.

It must be difficult for you WG, your DS having to isolate in your house, I am sure you could do with a hug.

        Afternoon all.

We have been busy so far today. Bed has been stripped and bedding is on the line . Neighbour's cats have been fed and garden plants have been watered and fed .
Lamb is in the oven , garden runner beans have been picked and sitting room has been dusted and vacuumed. Phew !

        Have a good Sunday everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

This one has been feeling a bit dodgy all through lockdown, so I should have known to not eat a toffee really!

Today has been one of forgetfulness! Put a dark wash on this morning, then completely forgot about it until late afternoon. However it's all dry ready for ironing! OH and DS were having rack of lamb for dinner and I'd planned to have a chicken pie which was in the freezer. Forgot to get it out and then couldn't find it! So I had a cheese and onion pasty with roast potatoes and veg!

Plant,DS says he'll give it until Wednesday and then he'll come out of isolation and join us. I'm thinking about getting him a test from the chemist just to make sure he's not infectious. He's been very good about avoiding us,but it's strange him eating in his room and not joining us when he's finished work.

Sunshine and black clouds today. At least we didn't have any more of yesterday's rain! Not a particularly good forecast for the next few days though.

WeeGranny - I have days like that - start to do something, then get distracted and forget about it. Join the club. It must be disconcerting though to have your DS there but not really there - a test would be a good idea.

We've had mostly sunshine today, with just a few black clouds. Much better than the downpours yesterday - the garden was flooding at one stage, but it doesn't sound as bad as Plant's biblical floods. We could do with having summer back.

OH went to see a wood turner friend today and called into Sainsbury's on his way home - it was very quiet, thank goodness, but he was able to get some things missing of our last order to keep us going until I do a delivery for Thursday.

                      Good morning ladies

Nanto, that meal is one of my favourites.

WG your DS is very self- disciplined. A lot of people in his position would ignore the directive to self isolate but I know he is doing it for your and his Dad’s benefit.

It’s black as your hat here this morning with rain, rain, rain.Looks like it’s here for the day. I feel so sorry for the people in caravans that I can see over on the other side of Three Cliffs Bay. People camp there mainly for the beautiful beach and there’re no other attractions near by. It’s a fantastic place when the weather is good but a bit miserable when it’s not.I do hope the weather improves soon.

DGD is off camping in Norfolk today with four friends. I fear they will be putting the tent up in the rain.🙁

Gem I hope your tooth can get fixed. I haven’t dare eat a toffee for years!

My thoughts are with Enfys and P and I’m sure yours are too.

                      Have a good day.

Good morning Nan2 and Clover, good morning ladies.

Clover I fear your GD will get wet!

A very wet morning here with more on the way. Golf for OH. One of the ladies tried to cry off, but they have decided to at least go out there and see what happens.
Our cat has a vets appointment this afternoon for the first of the regular blood tests he is supposed to have for his thyroid. We will decide if it is worth putting him through this trauma all the time. Although it is procedure I'm not sure of the benefit of it (and it costs us more £££!)
I am planning a trip to Wilko this morning, and a phone call to the dentist.

Thinking of Enfys and dear OH today.

Gem hope you can get a quick appointment, I can understand about putting kitty through the drama would it prolong her life and is it worth the upset ? Let her live her remaining time content with no hassle xx

Clover you will be glad to see son properly instead of fleeting glances as he collects his food

Nanto that has to be a favourite with everyone Chips eggs and beans mmm

Hope Enfys is ok today it's a tough decision but best for p he will be so much more comfortable as cared for .

The rain got worse and worse, so I am sure OH and friends will be inside the clubhouse with a nice warm coffee, not out on the course!
I will wait for her to come back so we can go to Wilko together.
I have a dental appointment for Wednesday, which I am happy about, especially as it is with the senior partner. I have just filled in all the relevant forms online. When I get there I will have my temperature taken downstairs before being allowed up to the surgery. No other patient will be there.

DD, SIL and GS1 are on holiday for a few days in Whitby. I'm so sorry about this horrible weather for them

I've been thinking about Enfys and P today.

Just after i posted this morning it started raining. Had heavy showers with a glimmer of sun in between.

Gem, hope the weather isn't too bad in Whitby for the family.

Edit - I wrote this this morning, but the internet went down before I could post it. Thank goodness it's back!

Good wet, windy autumnal morning to everyone.

Enfys, you and P are in my thoughts and prayers today. I know it will be a heart wrenching day, but he will get superb care and I hope that helps you both. Much love. xxx

Gem - it's such a difficult decision about how best to care for elderly pets. If he's otherwise ok perhaps the thyroid treatment is worth doing, in every sense, but if he's generally rather poorly perhaps it's better to let him be. Does the vet need to take a quantity of blood or is it just like a finger prick test for us?

No plans for us today, apart from a group dog walk this evening. I think I'd better dig my wellies out if this rain continues.
