    Morning ladies
Sorry not to reply to everyone but I have read latest posts.

Oma it’s a very difficult time for you as I know only too well. I go for a while trying
to keep busy but suddenly it hits me and I have a little cry. Sometimes if I’m a bit low anyway and catch a glimpse of G’s photo it always sets me off

It’s dull here this morning and has been raining. I think more is forecast. I did some weeding yesterday but too wet to continue today. I’m going to have a go at making a face mask, something to keep me occupied rather than for immediate use.

Hope you all have a reasonable day.xx

Morning all. Its dull and drizzly here also.

Not doing much today as my back , hips and toes are given jip. I knew it would after gardening yesterday. I am beginning to think that the garden is too big for us to manage which is hard to accept as we love our garden, especially the back as it is all secluded , a real sun trap . But then tomorrow's another day so onwards and upwards!

Oma I hope you find the exact songs you all agree on, What sort of music did your brother enjoy listening to.

Daisy I would have been the same about phone call. My DC usually ring within an average time scale so anything out of the ordinary makes my mind jump to all sorts of

Now steady on Gem, clapping this evening is fine but putting out the recycling boxes also, be careful, how much excitement can you cope with in one day

      Enfys how are things x

We also missed the fly pass but I am sure it will be shown several times throughout the day.
Boris is supposed to be doing the daily update this afternoon, I hope to watch that . Perhaps we might have more clarity on face masks , not that we will be going out any time soon. And also this bubble visitors, again speaking to DD and DS they said they aren't visiting us until things improve a lot more . They are both aware of OH's health issues.

      Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi I know, too much excitement in one night! We have just come in from the clap. We will take the boxes out later, we couldn't cope with all that at once

Very early days for you Clover xx

We had had alternating rain and sun today. It stayed fine when we were at my mum's, so OH got some more done in her garden while I did some clearing up inside, and more stuff in the bin.
We collected our Sainsbury's shopping and took our neighbours stuff to them.

Mum did not have her hair done this week. She did what she does to me saying she wasn't well. The care home saw through it though and said even mum herself admitted she just wanted to rest on her bed, and may have it done next time! As long as she's happy, it doesn't matter about her hair. I just thought she may like it done. As she has had the same hairdresser for over 45 years, maybe she doesn't want anyone else.

Clover - you're doing incredibly well, even if it doesn't always feel like that to you. I know I keep saying it, but be kind to yourself, and if you feel like a cry don't fight against it. It's been showery here today as well, but luckily the rain held off for our 8 pm Clap for Carers.

It seems I'm not the only one who goes straight to "This must be awful news" if the phone rings at certain times.

Gem - what a lot of excitement for one day. We could put our recycling bin out tonight (can't put the black bag out till morning) but it was just too much after our Cul de Sac Clap and Drink. We even had a visitor from another Cul de Sac tonight - OH had mentioned it to him and his neighbours just clap and go in, so he jogged round the corner and joined us. We do all keep safe distances, even the children.

Nanto - you've been a busy lady today, and you were lucky to get washing dried outside between showers.

Gem - as you say, perhaps your mum will feel like having her hair done next time. But I'm sure it will seem strange after having one hairdresser for so many years. That must be some kind of record. Glad you got a few more jobs done at your mums and got your shopping ok.

My sister asked if I was interested in a knitting project today. This was the link she sent.

I have everything to make the cribs apart from the ice cream tubs. What a pity this stops me from making them. I wasn't sure if your WI ladies would be interested Plant, seeing as it's in your neck of the woods?

Love to everyone in this weird time.x

Morning everyone, Clover you will be sad and it is normal to cry! These are strange times to be going through all this, no visitors allowed and nothing to take your mind off things, the same goes for you Oma.

Daisy, I always panic if the phone goes at a strange time.

Gem, how old is your mums hairdresser??????

I have been busy a few days and haven't been able to get to read all the posts, it all started with moving the TV etc! I had an old imac, G5, in the spare room and the children used it when they were here but now GD2 cycles to school by herself (when the schools open again), so I don't have to pick her up. DS1 works from home most of the time to there is always someone home when she arrives home. I got all the photo's etc I wanted from it and it is now down in the shed, a man I see at the sports school, when will we be able to go again?, he is coming when this is all over and taking the hard drive out and also from an old laptop that is awaiting the same treatment. What a hectic life I have!!!! Rain today so want to get the kitchen cupboards cleaned.

Good morning everyone. Nanto - thank you for the pretty flowers.

Nanto - I hope your in laws are ok. I'm sure they must look forward to your visits.

Did any of us ever think we'd actually want to go supermarket shopping! Even I wouldn't mind at the moment, just so I can choose things for myself, although I have to say I've only had one delivery where the dates were very short - 1 to 2 days - which meant cooking stuff and having it cold the next day etc.

Lizzie - it's all go for you. Don't overdo it.

Nana - I'm sure local people would be pleased to give you ice cream tubs. Have you got a road/local group set up for coronavirus? The cribs are so pretty and must give a little bit of comfort to grieving parents at an incredibly sad time.

We had our usual excellent turn out for Clap for Carers last night - just the one family missing as usual - plus a visitor from round the corner. Oma - would I have too much wine????? Actually it was just one glass, then it got a bit chilly so we came in.

The sun's shining here, so I hope it is for everyone - it does lift our spirits, doesn't it.

                        Good morning dear ladies.

Daisy the wine with clapping sounds an excellent idea. For some reason none of our neighbours in the houses on either side of us has ever come out for it! So we can call and wave to others, but no one close enough to chat to or share glass of wine with.
LOL Lizzie the hairdresser, L is only few years older than me. I remember having my hair cut by her when I was still at school, but she started as a young apprentice straight from school. Mum and she really hit it off, so mum chose her to do her hair at the salon (where she went weekly) from then on. When L had her 2 boys she did mobile hairdressing part time. Mum had her come to the house from then on. Now I think she only does mum and another lady, more as a favour really, she charges very little. She hasn't been to mum's much this last year or so as mum kept putting her off. I must get in touch and let her know where mum is now. I keep checking the phone when we go over and there have been no missed calls.
Nana, I agree with Daisy, if you can ask on a local FB group I bet people will have ice cream tubs. The cribs sound a lovely idea

This mornings first excitement is over - the recycling bins have been emptied!
The second is to come. A trip out to a garden centre. Well, a trip to a closed garden centre car park to collect an order OH made, to be accurate. Still, it's an outing

Keep happy, safe, and sane everyone!

Oma, my Sil showed me a video of GGD starting to crawl, her brother was encouraging her, lovely for him to see her changing. They are such lovely parents. Shed dwellers are fine, GD is bringing my shopping today. GD's cat spends his time between the three places, my DD told me yesterday to wash my hands after I have stroked him as he could carry the virus from DD and partner. Haven't heard about Covid related illness in children, that is worrying.

Just of the five of us clapping, every Thurs. someone close by lets off one firework and all the birds, settling down for the night in the woods, start flying around. Nothing planned for today, house cleaned, washing done and put away, doesn't look inviting outside.

Nana, I saw that request for the little cribs but as the WI isn't meeting at present so it is difficult to start a project. The Secretary might send an email to ask for contributions.

Nanto, the flowers are very cheeful, I am sure your in-laws look forward to your visit.

The excitement over bin collections is ongoing! We get a man coming into our cul de sac and piling all the black bags and clear bags into two piles, then the lorries come round, one for each type of waste and the bags are thrown in, and off they all go. Today the 'collector' came really, really early and we weren't the only ones rushing out with our bags after he'd gone. But the lorries didn't arrive for another hour or os, so we needn't have hurried.

Gem and Plant - What a shame that your Thursday Clap isn't more social. There's one cul de sac in our road where they all clap and then get their garden chairs and a drink. There are a few children in the close and they go round with nibbles and then they all play a game of bingo, with the children doing the calling. Apparently it's hilarious, as people can't hear and the children sometimes get muddled up with the numbers, but everybody has a good laugh.

Gem - enjoy your trip to the garden centre. I wish ours were doing click and collect - they're all closed. I'm going to order some summer flowering plants from the RHS today, otherwise our patio will be looking very sad all summer.

A dull start but a few sunny intervals this morning. Woke up to hear the dog crying went down to find she had soiled in her cage, bless her. Not a nice way to start the day, and I’m sure she was very upset by it too. Cleaned it all up and aired the dog room, that poo smell lingers ..... left the window open. Made a chocolate cake. It’s my youngest’s DS birthday today he is 34 . How can that be! Feeling much better but still having to rest between tasks. Made a few phone calls to friends which cheered.

Scattered cloud here today but a brisk wind. I went for a short walk.and then sewed up some knitting I’ve done for my sister. When it’s ready to post I’ll have to make an appointment at the Post Office. You WhatsApp them and they give you a time.
Not all neighbours Clap which surprises me. In the road which adjoins ours someone always plays a woodwind instrument( .I’m hopeless at identifying which one!). We can’t see them so don’t know who it is!
Trying too keep busy but don’t have a lot of motivation.
Hope everyone is keeping safe and well x
