    My brother's friend's father was buried last week. Ten people allowed but his brother couldn't attend as he lives in Hong Kong. Someone filmed it for him. Really sad. Oma, I hope that you'll be able to go with your B. Xx

              It was a lovely tribute Oma. You don't have to be at a funeral to remember a loved one, and you can all have a family celebration of his life when you are able .

              Nice treat tonight. DD3 phoned to say SIL had made bread and she was bringing some over. She cycled over to make it part of her daily exercise. We had a 10 minute distance chat with her on the drive. Lovely to see her 😊

                  Just been sorting all the flowers i got last week. Some have gone in the bin.
                  Quite a few are still looking good.

                    Good morning to all.
                    A bright sunny start here too Nan2.

                    Today we have a Click and Collect shopping order late afternoon. Some of it is for our neighbours, so we will need to sort out the shopping once we get in, then takes theirs round.
                    Before that we will spend a bit more time at my mum's house, and put more stuff in her bin for tomorrow.

                    Tonight it is NHS clap and recycling boxes out for the morning , a heady night out!

                    I hope all are well, or getting there.

                        Nanto what a lovely graphic missed the fly past no doubt it will be shown throughout the day.

                        Gem we have a Iceland delivery today , yes a mad night out tonight haha we get to wave to the neighbours if nothing else .

                        It's rained all night and still dull but sun is trying to peek through the clouds .

                        Ringing my niece this morning to help pick music for the funeral only a couple of tunes it won't be a long service and it won't be religious, my brother wasn't into all that

                          Lovely to see the fly past for Captain Tom’s 100th Birthday on TV. He has raised £30million for the NHS. What and amazing man.

                            Wow, has it got to 40 million? What an amazing gentleman, is he going to get a knighthood? Will try and catch the fly-past later.

                            I have read the tribute to your brother Oma, what a lovely man, he had a large family. Now don't get so excited tonight waving to your neighbours.

                            I have just sent a list of things I need to my GD, she is at work today. My Sil fetched me some brandy and gin yesterday as he was shopping for them. I am allowed a shopping slot from Waitrose but my Sil isn't keen on me using it as they come now from a warehouse in a very large van, our home is off the road up a track, the driver got lost and Sil had to go and find him and finished up helping the man unload my shopping. Not a good idea.

                            That was a nice surprise Gemini, some home-made bread and a visit from your DD.

                              Good morning everyone. A late start for me today.

                              I had just gone down stairs to make tea when the phone rang. It was exactly 9 am, and my heart sank - someone phoning dead on 9 has been waiting for it to be an acceptable time to ring, and my mind went into overdrive - what sort of bad news could it be! An unrecognised mobile number.

                              I answered it with my heart in my mouth - and it was just a contact of OH's who needed some information, but didn't like to ring too early. I didn't like to say 9 am IS too early for Mr Daisy!! Thank goodness is wasn't what I'd feared.

                              Nanto - a lovely sunny graphic. I'm glad you've still got some flowers to enjoy.

                              Oma - it's hard to pick music for a funeral. I hope your niece and the rest of his family are ok. xx

                              We missed the flypast too, but I'm sure it will be on all the news channels today. What an amazing gentleman he is - happy 100th birthday, young man. xx

                              Gem - what a busy social day for you today! We've started taking a glass of wine out after Thursday clapping and people in our little close stand and have a quick chat - all at good distances of course.

                              It's breezy and showery here this morning. Eva's not happy - she doesn't like the wind. I'll have to try and distract her with some games. And there I thought today would be the day I did the dreaded ironing!

                                We haven't seen the flypast yet, but it will be repeated many times. As it should be!
