Oma....hope your brother keeps improving and it's not too long before he's back home.

Avo......hope your shingles isn't too itchy. OH had it on his head when he was having chemo. His hair came back in black on the patch! Quite understand you wanting a change of scenery. I took the long way round when OH had to go to hospital for blood tests last week. Amazing how different places look when you haven't seen them for a while! I'm sure seeing your little ones cheered you up.

Gem.....I was looking forward to hearing about your Drive-thru chemist experience!

Put our old garden chairs on the village FB page earlier and someone has just collected them. Another bit of clearing out done.

Sunny but very windy here today. At least the washing got a good blow and it's all ready for ironing now...what joy!

Decided to get my Summer clothes out today.Have begun sorting through them and so far everything still fits! Not quite sure where/if I'll get to wear some of the stuff though. No reason to get dressed up for a good few weeks yet.

Clover has been in my thoughts today. Such an incredibly sad time for her and others who have lost a loved one.

Hope everyone has a good eveningx

Avo - poor you. Constant pain is awful, it wears you out, and I know shingles runs its own course. I hope it starts improving very soon for you. Isn't it amazing what a small change of scenery does for you, and even better seeing two of your GSs. I'm sure they felt the same to - hopefully they'll be able to have their walk from your drive regularly. Take care of yourself and get better soon. xxx

Nanto - I'm glad you've had a nice birthday, despite lockdown. xx

Gem - it's something all the chemists shops in the country could work on - making a drive through! What a pity yours was just a rumour.

WeeGranny - I put bedding out to dry today and it did dry in double quick time in the wind, but I had a hard job keeping it pegged on the line! Nice to be thinking about summer, even if it is clothes that we probably will have no reason to wear. I'm seriously thinking of getting all dolled up for Thursday's clap for carers, otherwise I'll just be living in old jeans and t-shirts!

I hope Clover has coped with all the sadness today. It's hard to be on your own at such a time. You feel so helpless when there's nothing you can do except send virtual hugs.

This is where I heard about the drive through! Apparently, now I read it it was only Easter weekend

Gem - what a shame - it seemed a good idea.

Another sunny start to the day. Yesterday was a bit chilly in the wind.

Off to in laws in an hour or so.

Good morning Nan2, I like the look of the pancakes
                  Good morning everyone else.

Another sunny day, but it looks very breezy out.
Today we have a Tesco Click and Collect order. Topping up our shopping, and some things for elderly neighbours who I am in touch with by email, one of who cannot go out for 12 weeks.
We will drive over to the care home at some point, to take the prescription and other things. We can't see mum of course but I have written her a card. There are repeats of snooker from The Crucible this week, in lieu of the championship which should be taking place. I am hoping she is watching this, and I will ask them today.

I hope you all have a good day. Thoughts of course are with Clover, and anyone else having a hard time.

Good morning Nanto, Gem, and all who follow.

It's sunny here, but still breezy. Yesterday the sun was quite warm and it felt like a very pleasant summer day.

We have vague but ambitious plans for today - steam clean the kitchen, utility and cloakroom floors, and I've just added cleaning the skylights in the kitchen and dining room. The cobwebs are beginning to look like net curtains!

Gem - I hope you mum is watching the snooker reruns - it will make her feel more at home.

Nanto - I hope your in laws are keeping well. I'm sure they're very pleased to see you.

I hope Oma's brother continues to improve, and Avo - I hope you are feeling a bit better. Look after yourself.

Clover - if you happen to look in, you're very much in my thoughts. xxx

Nanto I could just eat those pancakes yummy , hope in law's are ok .

Gem would be nice if your Mum has the snooker on does she have a TV in her room ?

Daisy be careful we will be calling you a domestic goddess soon

We have a cupboard in our Bedroom above the stairwell where we keep all our coats , I decided this morning to empty it and emulsion the walls and gloss the paintwork . Then I carried o and painted inside the airing cupboard .
Upstairs looks like a bomb site at the minute coats on the bed and stool at bottom of bed and towels etc on spare bed .

Spoke to my Niece this morning Brother didn't have a comfortable night but there are some plus points .
He can now make a fist with one hand and managed to get himself up the bed a little this morning.
He had a Liver scan yesterday and that's clear, he's Nil by mouth as he has a Heart scan today this apparently is to confirm what they think is wrong with him .
Niece said he was really happy about being able to move himself 😁

I do hope Clover is ok

Oma, I hope B doesn't stay still for too long or he will get painted. Your house will look very clean and fresh when this forced lock down is relaxed. Mixed news about your brother, I hope the news of the heart scan is good.

Very slow today, not dressed yet. Must try and get a short walk in today, sat in the sun lounge with knitting and audible book most of yesterday. It was very windy and quite cool but nice in the sunroom. It looks a bit windy today and it is blowing all the lovely blossom off the trees.

Nanto, hope you in-laws are keeping well.

Gem, I hope your mother has access to a television to watch the snooker.

Wondering how Clover is feeling today, hugs if you are looking in Clover.

Plant and Oma, mum has TV in her room. We would have taken her own if not.
Some positive news about your brother Oma. I hope they can sort out what's wrong and he can come home soon.

Had to have another phone consultation with dr today as have very painful back and paracetamol and ibuprofen weren’t cutting it. Been to pick up some co codamol from the surgery. It’s much stronger and the pain has eased.... I’m now feeling spaced out! Still much better than being in pain. It’s very windy here but sunny so I think I’ll take my kindle to the summerhouse after lunch.

In laws are fine, thank you for asking.

Mam wanted her mattress swapping back this morning. If she asks for it to be swapped again,i'll stick her under it.

Very sunny today, but a bit of a chill in the wind.
