Good morning, Nanto, Oma and all who follow.

Nanto - that would be a lovely spot for a picnic on a day like today - it's already very warm here.

Oma - I'm so glad you've managed to get a bit of sleep - it's a great healer for all sorts of things. I agree washing your hair makes such a difference. Is your throat feeling better today?

I'm being a busy bee - just running the sucky up thing round the house so I can empty it before the bins go out. So when I've collected my Housewife of the Day medal I'll be back.

Mimi, so sorry to hear you are having a tough time. Hope things improve soon.

Oma, pleased to hear you feel rested, hair washing makes all the difference. Now young lady you are banned from housework, we are watching you.

Worried that Nana hasn't posted for some time, I think I will send her a message to ask how she is.

We will be around later Daisy to present you with that medal.

I am considering not going to Cliveden today, I think it will be too hot for me, there isn't much shade and there will not be much open.

        Good morning all

Oma I sent you a text before reading this! Take it easy today you two.
Nan2, nice graphic, hopefully a lovely summers day ahead or all of us.
Get any housework done early Daisy and enjoy the day
Plant maybe a good idea not to go if it is very hot. You can rebook another time.

All 3 GC are coming here today. GS1 was on holiday earlier this week so couldn't come, and I was out with GD yesterday, so it's all of them today
A sunny day, so all meals will be outside.

Take care everyone, have a good day.

Hope you had a lovely day with all the grandchildren.

We've got rain and thunder, but not seen any lightening.
We were sat outside when it started, just finished a sandwich and a cuppa.

Oma, sleep will hopefully help you heal.

Sun is shining, but i don't think it will be as warm as yesterday.
                I could be wrong though.
                Supermarket shopping later today.

                  Good morning ladies.

Nan2, I don't think it will be as hot as yesterday either, but I think a nice day is forecast here. Lots of clouds about though.
All that sleep will do you good Oma. Don't forget to eat protein

A house in our village was struck by lightening last night and engulfed in flames. There doesn't seem to be much of it left. Thank goodness the family are out and safe.
We have click and collect from Sainsbury's this morning. No other plans but we may go off somewhere if its a fine day.

Happy Saturday everyone, and Happy Yorkshire Day, Yorkshire members

Good morning everyone. It looks like rain here, so I'm going to have a quick shower and get our neighbour's cats fed before it starts. OH is out and I need to be here for the dog food delivery sometime this morning.

                    Back in a bit.

                      Morning ladies
stuffy night and it’s still humid although not as bright as yesterday .

Gem those poor people but at least they are unharmed . Wasn’t there something similar in your village a couple of years ago or was that a gas explosion .?

Daisy was Eva ok with the thunder last night ?

Nanto enjoy your shopping trip 😀

Plant did you get rid of your Plums ? Did you put them at end of the lane , B was saying this morning I bet they make lovely Plum Jam .

Dont feel in as much pain this morning although extremely tired and sore throat etc , but I think a few days and I will be more myself ,
I have hair appointment on Tuesday I will feel even better then 😀

Cats fed, dog pacified and the rain hasn't started properly yet.

Oma - I'm glad to hear you're feeling a bit better - but don't even think about doing anything around the house, young lady. The tiredness is telling you you need lots of rest and sleep!

We didn't have any thunder last night - at least not that we heard. If we had I'm sure Eva would have been on our bed burrowing under the pillows!

Gem - how awful to lose your home like that. It must be devastating.

OH has gone to help a friend cut up and remove a fallen tree in a garden in the village.

We have brought the shopping back and put it all away. I delivered the neighbours their things.
It's a little breezy with clouds about but its warm and sunny. OH is making us a picnic. We are going for drive taking our camping chairs and looking for somewhere nice to sit

I didn't hear any thunder in the night and it doesn't look like we have had any rain. Did a bit of gardening this morning then joined DD & Sil for a lovely ride and a pub lunch in the garden. We are back now, time for a cup of tea and a sit down with knitting. Invitation for us to go to DS and Dil for lunch tomorrow so all in all a lovely family weekend.

Gemini, enjoy your drive and picnic. so sorry for those people with a lightning strike.

Plums are still on the tress, Vics not ripe yet but I need to find homes for the purple ones this week. I think a friend of my DD's would like some.

Not so warm and humid today but still very pleasant.

That was quick for DD getting an offer and finding another house.

Oma, you are not used to sleeping so much, enjoy it whilst it lasts. What effect did that gland have on your health?

                              Enjoyed our shopping trip.

Been warm here, but not hot like yesterday
Had a few spots of very light rain,as we were leaving the car park, but it didn't last long.

Gem,thank goodness no one was hurt in the house fire.

Gem - I hope it all goes smoothly for your DD with the house move. We are still waiting for things to happen with the sale of my cousin's. It seems that one party who needs to supply information is still on furlough and our solicitors have been chasing them but with no response. It's so frustrating, and hard being so far away - if we were nearer we'd go round and see the people in question.

The rain didn't happen today. It's been quite humid and warm, but cooled down a bit this evening. I hope it's as nice tomorrow as we're going up to celebrate GS1's birthday. A few days late, but mid-week birthdays usually have to wait a few days. He's over the moon with his new phone, and on Wednesday he had an off-road driving lesson which he loved! Still can't believe he's 17.

Plant - what a lovely week-end with your family. I'd help you out with the plums if we lived closer.

Nanto - was it busy in the supermarket today?

The roads round here have been really busy with holiday traffic and day-trippers. The man delivering the dog food this morning said he couldn't get his van down one road because of cars parked on both sides, and OH said when they were leaving the house where the tree was they could hardly get out of the drive because cars had parked half way across it! If this is the consequence of staycations our holiday hotspots need to adapt quickly!

There's a place in our village we call The Beach - it's just a shingle bank in a shallow river. OH said you couldn't put a pin between the groups of people crowding on there and cars were parked up to the best part of a mile away.
