It is a pity about the car parks Daisy, for those who live further away.
Oh Enfys, your poor DD, what a day
My mum likes me to take her book in to be updated regularly (even though I do online banking for her so can tell her exactly what is in the account) I have had to be firmer with her this time and tell her we are not to go to banks or building societies until vital, so I won't be doing it for a while.

We decided not to go out today, as OH was busy removing moss, cleaning guttering etc (she knows how to live) The forecast is nice most of the week, so we will drive out somewhere on Wednesday instead.
Lovely sunny day here, and we got a washload dry on the line.

I heard these were being sent out to vulnerable people most at risk

Enfys - your poor DD. I feel sorry for everybody in the front line in these situations, but it must have been even worse for her with getting that call from your GS1. People can be so rude, stupid and unreasonable - enough to try the patience of a saint. I had an email from a niece today. Her younger sister is an A&E Sister, as as you can imagine run off her feet. But big sister said she was keeping calm and taking it all in her stride, but I can't help worrying for her.

Gem - the forecast seems good for most of this week, so I'm sure you'll have some nice sunshine for Wednesday, even if you have to sit in the car.

Oma - thank goodness your MIL listened! I was telling my OH and he was guessing what you might have said to her!! Poor B - but better safe than sorry. xx

Enfys - we don't usually have meat more than once to twice a week, but I can see I might have to get a bit more creative if we can't get supplies from the supermarkets. I've done an online shop and saved it to try and get a delivery slot later in the week. I don't want to buy stuff until we need it.

Plant - did you get round to relaxing in the sunroom as you'd planned?

Has anybody heard from Mimi? She hasn't been online for a while, and I know things are hard for her. I just hope she's ok - Mimi if you're reading this, we all send our love. xxx

Daisy, any tips for reducing our meat intake would be gratefully received. I’ve been googling. 🙂

I really feel for all our NHS staff, they have a tough enough time anyway but it must be terrible now.

                    I do miss her.

Waiting for our letter/text Oma! At least they can get in the fresh air if it's a 'private space' according to the government guidelines.Thank goodness for gardens! I'm worried that hte immune system will be so low by the time they're 'released' that they'll pick up any kind of germs.

                          Good morning Nan2.
I'll have a coffee from that pot I think!
Good morning everyone. I hope all are well.

I'm a bit confused about things. It seems you should not go in your car to exercise. If we walk around our (large) village which joins onto a second one, we will inevitably pass others, no doubt about it. We can drive somewhere deserted to walk.
We are allowed to drive to shop, and to seek medical help, and help the vulnerable, so I suppose no one would know we weren't heading out for that.
Very sad that GS's 4th birthday falls within the Lock Down period. From family Disney World celebration, to not even seeing his wider family

Anyway, we are all in this together. Take care everyone, keep talking to us

Yes Gem we all in it now got to make best of it I suppose .
                            Nice morning so far .

I have just finished painting utility walls and ceiling . Have a break then start on paintwork .
Going to have a rest tomorrow before I start on living room .

DD coming over later to get my list and do our banking . I'm just going to give her my bank card so she an get money out of machine for my shopping or just use contactless

Hope everyone is ok and getting their heads around this lock down xxx

Good morning everyone. Can I share the coffee, too, please, Nanto? At least virtual sharing is virus-free.

Oma - you must be the world's most efficient painter and decorator - it would take me weeks to do what you've done in a couple of days! I've been wondering what to do about cash, but think if we can't go out we can't spend it, so perhaps it's a non-existent problem. Contactless is a Godsend now, isn't it!

Gem I'm a bit confused about exercising as well. I think we can take one period of exercise outdoors per day, and I'm assuming that includes dogs (poor things, lots of dogs get two or three walks a day!) It doesn't say how long this exercise should take, and I agree not using the car means coming into contact with more people. I think they're trying to avoid the scenes of people flocking to urban open spaces like parks, and some beaches. You would be much safer driving to somewhere quiet for a walk than wandering round your village.

Nanto - this lovely weather is wonderful and a real help at the moment.

I'm just going to get showered and dressed and then carry on with the greenhouse. See you later.

Just having my coffee break, 8 doors painted, 2 to go, I hope to finish them today then get it all sorted out, looking much better though, it could be better exercise than going to the gym!
I will catch up on posts later on.
