Enfys we have a induction hob its so much easier and cleaner ,
The pans are quite expensive but if your lucky you might get some bargains out there ,
We bought ours about 5 years ago , we were in Tesco and looking for other stuff when B spied a set of 3 on the bottom shelf marked down from £150 to £25

We thought they had been marked wrong so found a assistant to check for us and yes they were the end of line , to say it was snatch and go is a understatement , we couldn't get to the checkout fast enough in case they changed their mind

Good luck in your search x

Nanto sorry about your SIL , I am sure a plan of action will be in place soon m please let us know how she gets on xx

Daisy now I am thinking of all those teachers wobbling around
Can you remember the children's toys , weebles wobble but they don't fall down

        Good morning ladies.

Sunny and calm here too Nan2.

When we went with our friend to look at induction hobs she was told you don't need a specific type of pan, just any which is magnetic, and you can just test that with any magnet. That must save money on the very expensive ones. I remember you getting those bargain ones Oma!

As I didn't deliver newsletters yesterday, today come hell or high water I must!
OH will be golfing, so I will go alone. If my knee plays up I will do half, come back for a rest, then do the rest later. GS1 from school, back here this week as DD is working from home.

        Have a good day everyone.

Good morning ladies , its very frosty but bright ,
Gem we tried the magnet test its not as accurate we found some pans just wont heat up , thing with Induction hobs the pan must be the right size , like you cant put a big pan on the smallest ring , I thought ours was broke when we got it as I put a large pan on the back ring and it just wouldn't heat up till I finally realised im not very bright

Nanto I slept on and off I went back to bed at 4 but seemed to wake every 15 minutes by 7 I thought well this isn't working so got up

Off to Hairdressers soon get this raggy mop cut , look like Ken Dodd's at the minute when the wind blows haha

Have a good day ladies I will pop in later see what your all up too , Gem look after that knee its not long till your Holly bobs xxxx

Oma, I don't know how you manage on so little sleep. You are quite right about putting the right pan on the right size ring on an induction hob. I have had mine for ages and we did have to buy new saucepans, until DD changed her cooker for an induction hob we couldn't borrow saucepans. I love mine.

Enfys, my cooker has a self cleaning cycle but I gave up using it as it took so much electricity and made the kitchen smokey. Hope you have more success with yours.

Gemini, hope it stays dry for your deliveries, watch out for that knee. I seem to have got rid of my sore tummy with peppermint oil, I suspect you have already tried that for your ibs.

Morning. Well there's a few poor ladies not well. I hope things will improve for them. Ooooo, B's leg Oma!

I have to laugh. OH not the speediest of movers, but he came hurrying into the bedroom earlier saying he hadn't realised the time. He's hoping to play golf & is meeting his mates about an hr away. I didn't know he could move that fast.🤣 Easy day for me.

They can move fast where golf is concerned Nana
Oma, injection appointment for my knee on Thursday, so hopefully things will be improved for my hols.
I'm glad you had success with peppermint oil Plant. I drink peppermint tea regularly. I have tried the oil many years ago. Maybe time for me to buy some more.

I have folded all the newsletters to make them easier to post. At least it is only newsletters. In the run up to December's election, not only did we have deliveries every couple of weeks, some houses had addressed envelopes as well as newsletters, some just newsletters, so it was much more involved than just pushing them though. When I finish my coffee I will set off.

Good morning everyone, from me. It's been a busy morning already - out early to get Cooper because I had to get back for the man coming to replace my car windscreen. He's doing it now, so hopefully it will be nice and clean as well as chip-free!

Nanto - I'm glad your SIL's DD are reasonably close.

Interesting about induction hobs. My DIL2 has just got one with her new kitchen and she loves it. Plant - I had a self-cleaning cycle on an electric cooker years ago, but that was smokey too. My DIL's new one isn't (she has tried it!) and when it's in the cleaning cycle the door locks so you can't open it by accident.

Nana - it's amazing how fast they can move when they really have to! I hope the golf course was open and not too wet. Nice peaceful morning for you.

Gem - Oma's right - be careful not to overdo things with your knee. I know you're having an injection, but it will be working hard in Florida - there's a lot of walking round the parks. Can you leave half the deliveries until tomorrow?

Oma - I'm glad you got a bit more sleep, even if it wasn't much. I agree with Plant - I couldn't manage on that little sleep. I remember Weebles, although we haven't still got any. I won a Weeble House in a magazine competition. We were incredibly hard up at the time and it was just before Christmas, so I entered thinking it would be a nice joint present for the DSs - and I won. It's the only time I've won a competition and I couldn't have been more excited if I'd won the Crown jewels!!

Oma - I had to laugh at the image of your Ken Dodd hair!! Have you got a tickling stick as well?

I have done three quarters of the deliveries. I went back to the car for a 5 minute rest in the middle. My back was starting to ache, so I have left two shortish roads (one off the other) I will drive back to that area, then do the remainder, which won't take long. Tea break and a half hour sit down now It was nice out be out on such fine morning, and see all the spring flowers and other things coming into bud.

I hope your windscreen is now chip free Daisy!

                                What are you like!

About an hour ago, GD1 and her partner knocked on my door, GD was holding a pair of grey trousers, Waitrose work trousers. I have mended hers several times but these were her partners, he has split the back seat seam. GD said was I doing anything today, could I mend his trousers? Machine threaded up ready for the off. I went into my utility room to put some washing on and found the machine full of wet washing, dryer full of dry washing and a pile of bedding waiting to be washed. GD did ask if she could use my machines as next doors machines were busy. I have folded dry washing, put wet washing in dryer, put bedding into washing machine. Mine is still on the floor. Do I mind? of course not.
