I send birthday wishes to your sister, I hope you find her well Gemini. Enjoy your new dishwasher.

I can't imagine what that letter was all about Oma, good idea getting it taken off his records.

Snow gone, lovely and sunny, no regrets about missing Aqua, although I could do with the exercise.

Plant - the snow seems very patchy.

Oma - you wonder if people check letters before they send them out! That one is priceless!

Enfys - it is bitter. I was at Barton Golf Club for lunch - right on the cliffs - the sun was lovely but the wind was piercing. I like the throws. I'm usually not a great lover of brown/fawn in soft furnishings etc but they are a lovely gentle shade and very cosy for a conservatory where the light tends to be very bright. Very cosy and snuggly.

Gem - glad the meeting went well. I look forward to hearing the update on your library's future.

Yes, lunch was lovely as always, we all had turkey, brie and cranberry toasties with chips and salad. We were all a bit subdued though as the friend who organises it has just found out that her husband's illness is terminal. She's being very brave but you could see it was a struggle.

Daisy,so sad for your friends hubby.

Turned out to be a busier day than i expected.
Managed to get my jobs done, before the hairdresser came.
Hubby went DS1 house, and he came back with hubby for his dinner.
          Fortunately, there was enough dinner.
An hour later, GD2 came after work. So i fed and watered her.
They went home about an hour ago, after having burgers and fried onions in a bun.

Time to relax a bit before bed.

Nanto - thank you. This friend is someone I worked very closely with, and she always 'blames' me for getting her into teaching. She loved every minute! She's such a lovely lady with a wonderful sense of humour. Her OH is about 90 and hasn't been in good health for a while.

You certainly had a busy day, feeding the invading hordes. I'm sure your GD2 loves coming round to Nan's after work.

You've earned some time to relax.

How sad about your friends husband Daisy.

              Nan2's cafe today!

Thank you for the birthday wishes for my sister everybody.
Mum and I had a nice visit to her. She was fine and got some nice presents. We had birthday cake. Mum ate a slice of that in the afternoon, plus the small fish and chips we bought on the way home for her tea, and was tucking into biscuits when I left her , so she ate plenty today!
The washing machine arrived and is working. The next few days will be spent washing!

Gem - I'm glad your sister had a nice birthday, and your mum did well. I was a bit worried in case she changed her mind, but it sounds as though she enjoyed herself. Perhaps the fresh air gave her an appetite.

Good to see the washing machine is being kept busy.

I am sad about my friend's husband. They've got two sons, one of them lives quite a long way away and isn't well - he's had to give up work - and although the other one lives nearer, he works long hours and they've got 4 sons, so not much time to help when needed.

Dry this morning, but looking a bit dull.

Ooops, that graphic is an Easter one, haven't got time to change it now, will do it later.

Gem, pleased your sister had a lovely birthday.
Your mum sounded in good form.

Off to in laws soon. Will call and pick their papers up on the way.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.
I like the cute Easter egg graphic! I will be away at Easter and the Americans don't do Easter eggs as we know them so I will miss one this year!

GS2 day today. No GD as there is an after school event. We have to wait in for the dishwasher which is due this morning. We may go out somewhere later as we have no school pick up today.

                    Have a good one ladies.

Good morning, Nanto and all who follow later.

Guess what? It's raining here! We could do with a bit of Easter cheer, Nanto.

I hope your in-laws are keeping well.

I've got lots of options for today. The most attractive one is to sit by the fire with a good book, but I suppose I'll have to push the sucky up thing round, there are two loads of washing waiting, and I need to remake the single beds from when the GDs had their sleepover. Plus clean the bedroom window - they girls don't get nose marks on the glass like Cooper does, but they always seem to leave hand prints all over it! There are lots of other jobs too, but what can wait, will.

OH has arranged to meet someone at DS2's. They need a quote to fix the drainage in their tiny front garden and put some kind of surface down they can park on. My OH is much better at asking the right questions than DS is, so he always gets 'volunteered' for jobs like that.

Gem - you posted while I was typing. I hope your dishwasher arrives on time, and the weather stays dry enough to go out with GS2 this afternoon.

Nanto hope no dramas at in laws today

Daisy its always better to have someone who is good at these things rather than trying yourself and not asking the right questions ,

What a change from yesterdays sunshine , The dog never came indoors at all he lay in the sun with a big marrow bone trying to get the marrow out for a good few hours his tongue must be worn out today

Did a dark wash and got them dried earlier and while I flicked a duster through B washed all the floors ,

Just lifted the old Oven into the car to take to recycle at tip then I need to pop to shops

Will iron after lunch only about 10 items so not a lot .

Oma - I bet Storm thought he was in paradise. Outside with a big marrow bone must be doggy heaven.

We need a trip to the tip - the trailer's just about full - but our neighbours hacked away at their side of their trees and a lot of the branches fell in our garden, so they need putting in the trailer too. I know we could just dump them back over their fence, but they would prefer us to keep them!

Raining here atm, but at least it is not snow. GD1 and her partner came in yesterday evening for a G&T and a chat. GD was talking about wedding and bridesmaids dresses, when her sister is next home they are going to look at bridesmaid and wedding dresses, seems a bit early the wedding isn't until next year. National Trust meeting this evening, the talk is The Flying Doctor Service. I also want to book to go on a trip in June. Later in the year they are having a trip to Althorp, there will be a rush to get tickets for that trip, they are not on sale yet.

Love your graphic Nanto, hope the in-laws are well.

Lucky Storm, lying in sun with a marrow bone, doggy heaven.

I am pretty much up to date with indoor jobs, well to my satisfaction and gardening a no no, so I will get some knitting done

Plant - exciting wedding plans for your GD1. It's not too soon to start thinking about bridal and bridesmaids' dresses. I read something a couple of days ago saying that if the coronavirus problem persists or gets worse wedding dresses could be in short supply as most of them are made in China.

Enjoy your relaxing knitting day. The Flying Doctor talk sounds interesting. Where would you like to go in June?

                                Nana - we're being good - honestly!
