Good morning all you early risers! The Daisy household is just stirring - even Eva has only just woken up. The last 10 days have caught up with us, and it didn't help that dog training overran last night and I didn't get home until well after 11 pm.
Enfys - I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. As we keep saying it's a terrible disease.
Plant - so pleased to hear your dear sister is on her way home today. Do she have help at home. I hope there's someone keeping a close eye on her. xx
Gem - what a pity the Viking event has been cancelled. Does your GS1 like board games - snakes and ladders was always our DSs' favourite. If he's not into art, might he be interested in something like scale drawing. Measure something in the house (perhaps something with straight lines, like a little table, and draw it to scale using a ruler. You can print off graph paper of all sorts of sizes from the internet. Does he like word games? I remember GD1 going through a phase of liking to make simple crosswords and coming up with clues as well.
Nanto - we need those spring flowers today. Thank you.
Nana - enjoy your GS2 day - he sounds a sweet heart.
Oma - I hope you manage to get to M and C's today.
WeeGranny - How upsetting that you didn't find out about your cousin's wife for so long. You did know other members of the family, and you'd have thought someone would have let you know. I'm currently trying to track down 5 friends of my late cousin who sent him Christmas cards, but he didn't keep a proper address book, so it's really difficult.
Right - I'd better go and get a shower and get dressed and start putting the house to rights after two days of chaos.
EDIT - sorry, Mimi - you posted while I was typing. I wasn't ignoring you. xxxx

Daisy, GS does like board games, and Lego. We have brought the big box of Lego in. Although he isn't keen on crafts, as it is his mum's birthday at the weekend I am hoping to encourage him to make a card!
A late start is a good idea Daisy! Because I was out early on Monday and up today for GS, I had a lovely late start yesterday

Keep you head high lv xxx
Daisy I thought I was the only one who is late getting going unless I have to go out. You needed that rest after the last few days.
Mimi, lovely to hear from you, I hope you will continue to pop in.
I have just tried to ring my sister but again no reply in spite of the news yesterday that she was going home. I have tried Dil's phone again no reply. I can only sit tight and wait for news, I might ring the hospital and enquire if she is still there. Apparently she is still in the hospital, I am trying to phone the ward she is in. Latest information is that her GD is with her now and is taking her home.
Evening ladies , just back from our Martin & Clare's ,
Poor girl is struggling with the meds .
Terrible headaches and dizzy spells and she is upset the meds are making her put weight on .
We didn't stay too long as she gets tired very quickly but she was really pleased we had gone and wanted us to stay longer but we could see she was flagging and fighting to stay awake .
She sees the consultant again next month and has a scan see if its shrinking so fingers crossed it is .
Oh, Oma - I do hope C gets good news next month. They sound such a lovely couple, and I know M is B's blood brother in every way. He must be worried, too. It sounds as though little and often for visiting her, and I'm sure you and B helped to cheer her up a bit today.

Oh poor lady Oma Let's hope the meds are working. Fingers crossed.
OH took 2 washloads round to our friend's house today, as we now know our new washing machine won't be here until Thursday of next week.
GS made his mum a birthday card, and we played a couple of board game, and chatted about our holiday. We also watched the film Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, which I hadn't seen. So I managed to keep him off the i pad for some of the day!

Gem - well done on keeping GS1 happily entertained. It's not easy in bad weather, especially with very lively active children. I bet his mum will be delighted with her birthday car.
I was pleasantly surprised yesterday afternoon how long the GDs spent with sets of new felt tip pens and Frozen II colouring books. They were probably quite tired by then, but I was impressed with how much effort they put into their pictures.

I rang my sister in law yesterday, the one who was told she had lung cancer.
She had her biopsy last week and get the results next Tuesday.
Will then find out if they are rogue cells from when she had breast cancer 5 years ago, or if it is a new cancer.
She's quite upbeat though, which is a good attitude to have i suppose.
More heavy rain forecast for areas that have already suffered flooding.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
