You are a busy woman Oma! It is like summer, 24 degrees on my balcony!
Colder on the other side though. Yes, I am pleased the album finally arrived.

Hairdresser came at 9am so only just found the time to sign in. Lovely and sunny here after very heavy mist, haven't poked my nose out yet so don't know how cold it is. Nothing else planned, might do some sewing or some knitting later.

Nanto, love the graphic, as Daisy has said, your in-laws are very lucky to have you and OH to support them.

Hi ladies. To cook pork chops in the slow cooker,i sit them on top of a bit of onion.
Left them on low for about 3 hours, then turned cooker to medium for an hour.
Of course timings can vary, depending on the thickness of the chops.

Oma we are having chicken breasts with cheese and leek gratin ( courtesy of Aldi, we had a pack in the freezer) I made mashed potato and prepared green beans and carrots earlier, so it's just bung chicken in the oven, mash in the microwave and put the veg on to cook. I usually text OH when I leave here and she will put the chicken in the oven to be ready just after I get back. When it's my turn to cook on GS1 day I can't be bothered to begin the whole process when I get in at 7.15. So it's plan ahead like this, or have something quick and simple 😊

Nanto - thanks. I'll have to have a go next time we get pork chops. I bet they come out nice and tender.

Gem - you have got tonight's dinner well-organised. I don't want to start cooking after I get back from looking after the GDs, so I usually cook our main meal for mid-day on Mondays and Tuesdays, and then we just have a sandwich or soup in the evening.

Today we've got a beef and mushroom casserole to reheat left over from Monday. So quick and easy for me tonight.

It's been a lovely day here - sunny and not too cold. We took Eva for a good run in the paddock even though she was tired from a very busy training session last night. Then we called in to collect something from DS2, then while we were in town I popped into the bank to get a statement we needed, stopped on the way home to get a paper and finally got home for lunch at 2.30. OH made it while I dashed out into the front garden and pruned two of the three buddleia bushes - they're sprouting really well.

I hope it stays dry for tomorrow - I've got plenty of jobs lined up!

Good evening ladies. I’m late checking in today.

It was a lovely sunny day, just perfect for DH and our friend to go to the tip! He came round with his trailer and we were able to get rid of the old defunct dishwasher and a lot of other stuff that DH had sorted out, so a good job done. Then P went to his Men’s Shed meeting this afternoon so I was able to start sorting out what we need to pack for our few days away...we go tomorrow, fingers crossed the weather stays nice.

Ive just got back from the doctors, he’s so nice and doesn’t rush you. He wants me to have an ECG and a 24 hr heart monitor as it has been 6 years since the last one and he wants to be sure all is OK. Apparently I have ventricular ectopic heart beats (my heart seems to skip a beat every now and then). Nothing to worry about only if it’s causing me problems, ie the panic attack and there is medication for it so I’m not worried. Everything else was fine, BP etc so he wasn’t unduly concerned but I’m pleased to have it checked out.

So we will be off tomorrow for 3 days in Devon. A nice little break in a lovely hotel, really looking forward to it.

Hope all is well with everyone, TTFN 🙂

Enfys - what a productive day you've had - a good tip run and good news from your GP. How refreshing to hear about a doctor taking his time and being thorough as well as nice. I do hope the weather is good for your trip to Devon, and even if it rains the change will do you both good. Safe journey. xx

Frosty this morning. Wrap up warm if you are going out.

Hopefully, this will be first full day at home this week.
                                Plenty of jobs to do.

                                Tomato sausage for dinner today.

If anyone is interested in making things in the slow cooker, there are several groups on Facebook.
Loads of recipes to be found. Quite a few make cakes in it.
