Gem - GD2 would have made you very welcome at her party, but I hope you're enjoying tonight's anyway.
Oma - I'm reluctant to throw away nearly empty bottles. I don't know why when they get to the stage where you have to stand them upside down to get anything out!
Well done for being ruthless.
Grauntie - I bet those two boys are great fun - it's a lovely age. either that or distance lends enchantment since my GSs are now 15 and 16!
I know they used to stuff sofas with horse hair at one time, but I've never heard to horse hair bracelets. Yes, I remember chicken marengo - did it have white wine in it? I seem to remember it was quite 'daring'!!
Nanto - I bet you'll be going out next Saturday, but at least you have got beautifully sorted cupboards now.
Qwerty - you sound very down in the dumps, and worried about OH. It's good to get away for a while and give you both chance to work out what's best for you both.
GD2's party went really well. Most of her class were there plus two friends of GD1. They had an hour on the bouncy castle and all the other cubes, and other shapes. It was lovely to watch how imaginative they were building caves, forts and all sorts of things. Then they went into the room where we'd set out the food. They all sat down and silence fell! Nearly 30 5 and 6 years olds and silence!! They had worked up serious appetites. They were all lovely, saying 'please' and 'thank you' without prompting. Afterwards they played all sorts of games with balloons. GD2 had a wonderful time. Eva did a good job of babysitting Cooper! The house was still standing and nothing had been chewed. In fact there were two suspiciously warm areas on DS/DIL's bed!!! Say no more.
OH and I got home about 3.30 and both had a nap! So did Eva!
