    Bathroom cleaning for me this morning, no buckets I shall steam clean the floors. Might put a duster around the SR and bedroom. Quite quiet socially this week, I might catch up on some knitting and sewing.

    Pleased your mother was okay Gemini, she obviously likes her house to look well cared for. Shame about the food Gem.

          Good morning everyone. Nanto - what a pretty graphic, and it suits what is now a bright and sunny morning.

          Gem, enjoy your lunch out I hope T is ok now. How is her knee?

          Oma - if you're missing Storm I could lend you Eva and Cooper for the day! I'm sure you'd love 8 muddy paws when B has just washed the floors.

          OH had a 9 o'clock appointment at the doctors (to discuss the results of all the tests he's had), and then bless him, he's gone on to the supermarket to do the shopping.

          It's lovely to see a bit of sunshine, but's it's quite chilly and still lots of floods around here.

            On the chilly side here today but towels blowing in the wind and hopefully drying!

            Woodburner fitted with the minimum of mess. I was glad the fitter had been on the roof in the morning because it poured in the afternoon. Need to leave it for 48 hours before we can use it though Next on our to-do list is the cloakroom and OH has suggested we revamp the bathroom.We have a shower over the bath and the day is going to come when we won't be able to climb in the bath....or out if it, so maybe we should be looking at that too. Only chatting about it at the moment, but cloakroom is a must.

            OH has optician's appointment this afternoon, but he's going on his own. Can catch bus there and back. Not sure what I'll do with an afternoon on my own, but I'm sure I'll find something.

              Pleased to hear the woodburner went in without too much of a fuss, I expect you can't wait to use it. Cloakroom sounds a good idea and a shower. I am sure you will find something artistic to fill your afternoon.

              the morning seemed to run away but I did manage to get some housework done. I am planning to do some knitting this afternoon, WI are knitting squares, not sure what for. Lots of people

                WG, pleased the woodburner installation went well.

                We had snow earlier, on and off for about an hour.
                Then we had alternating sun and rain.

                  I’ve been to the hospital today for my pre operative assessment because I am having a knee op on 5th February. All was going well until they told me I won’t be able to drive for two weeks. Yikes. I’m going to have to apply for my bus pass ASAP. The thought of staying home for two weeks is depressing. I’ll just have to invite friends round to visit. Boo Hoo.

                          Hopefully you will feel better after your knee op Sunshine and the 2 weeks will quickly pass. Invite friends round, catch up on reading, TV and GransRus 😊

                              Good morning ladies
                              Yes Nan2, a lovely graphic to start the day
                              DD3 and I are going to the Cat Cafe today! When it opened I couldn't imagine going, as it is £7 for an hour, and I had 3 cats of my own! Now I only have one, I feel differently. DD has a cat but she's not a lap cat, so we both fancy a bit of time with affectionate cats. She booked us in for 11am.
                              From there I think I will go to DD1's rather than come home and go out again. I can either go to the house until it's time to collect GS, or walk into the town they live in for a look round, as they live close to the centre.
