Well I went back to bed at 4 and managed to sleep till 7 ,
Been to shopping centre this morning wanted to go into Wilko they didn't have what I wanted though so will look online and get it delivered to store ,
We then drove went to Lidl and Iceland just a few bits , from there we drove to Aldi again only bits needed , they all in a few miles radius and near to home .

Came in and before I went out I sprayed some Zaflora around , opened the door and it hit me in the face its so strong , I usually buy Bouquet but this was a sort of wild flower scent , I wont buy that again it stinks to strong a perfume for me , unfortunately cant do anything till it fades so have to put up with it .

Grauntie - same here about these dismal days. I hope your trip round the M25 wasn't too Friday-afternoon-ish and you enjoyed your feast.

Oma - I'm glad you got a few hours sleep - and hope for better for you and B tonight. I love living where we live, but sometimes it would be nice to have a choice of shops so close! Was it too cold to open all the windows when you came home, or did the wild flower scent disappear anyway? By the way, I read somewhere about some Zoflora products being dangerous for dogs and cats. I can't find the original article I read, but this mentions it

Nanto - how lovely to hear that things are back to normal with your in-laws.

I nearly had a lazy day. OH was out all morning and part of the afternoon but he was in high demand - the phone kept ringing for him so I ended up with a load of messages. He needs a secretary sometimes.

Dais I read that too . I never use it when we having the dog only days we don't . The smell has gone thank goodness , it was so strong . It smells like Lilies and they give me a migrain so cold or not I had to open the back door and front window so the air could flow through. I have thrown it down the outside drain

Oma - so you've now got a lily-scented outside drain!! I'm sure that didn't last long though.

Not going out today, hubby has got a couple of ebay customers coming later this morning.
Don't really need any shopping,so i will crack on with some jobs.

Speaking of Zoflora,i think you can get one that is suitable for pets.

Good morning Nanto and all who follow later.

That's a good start to the week-end, Nanto - a plate of bacon and eggs, although I think I'll have to come back to it later - I'm still on my first cup of tea! Sometimes it's nice to change your routine. I hope you get your jobs done. Yes, Im sure you're right about Zoflora, but I don't know which are ok and which aren't. It's not a product I use regularly - I always like the idea, but that's as far as it goes.

A busy start to the day for us. It's GD2's birthday party this morning - and guess who's promised to help! It's at their local leisure centre and most of GD's class are going. She was super-excited yesterday, so goodness knows how she'll feel today. We're going over early to help with food etc and for Eva and Cooper to run some energy off. They don't usually leave Cooper in the house on his own, but he's more likely to settle with Eva to babysit!! I'd better get a move on, and gird my loins - to say nothing of getting my party face on.

                  Good morning.

                  I hope everyone is well.
I hope your GD has a lovely birthday party Daisy Merit badge to Grandma for helping!

Tonight we have party to go to, but I would rather be at one like you are going to! This is OH's sister in law's 70th. We don't see much of her side of the family, but feel we should go. I may say more on another thread.
This morning we are going to call at our friend C and P's. It's P's birthday tomorrow and we will drop off his card, and a couple of bottles of wine, to thank them for driving OH to collect my car. I don't know if they will be in, but if not we will leave them in a safe place.
That's it for today, as far as I know!

                  Have a good one everybody.

                    Good morning ladies ,
Its quite a nice day a bit gloomy but warmer than usual and no wind ,

Nanto now I may need a Bacon sandwich for lunch seeing that lovely graphic

Daisy hope you have headache tablets with you

Gem sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and go to these party's

Went to Wilko in Durham this morning to get what our Wilko didn't have , and while we were there we had a look in Next Home just to see what's different but nothing I would say I would want , Stripped beds this morning so by time we got back they were done ready for the tumble dryer ,
Sort my cleaning cupboard out after lunch get rid of some almost empty bottles of stuff , keep shaking them and thinking they need to go out then I put them back just in case , so im going to be ruthless

Hope everyone is ok and hubby's xxx

Oma those GCs are 5 and 7. Two very lively boys. We had great fun, and dinner was as always, delicious. Speaking of food, does anyone remember ‘chicken marengo’? It used to be the favourite dinner to make when we had visitors way back in the 70s. No idea what made me think of it but now I have to make it of course. I will have to look on line though as I can’t find the original recipe.
A day of craft for me, I have a braided horse hair bracelet to make and then more boxes. I cannot stop making boxes! Does anyone else do papercraft?

I don't reckon much to not going out on a Saturday. Did get the upstairs windows cleaned though.
Made a full english for dinner, and we both enjoyed it,but sometimes i think it would be easier to make a 5 course meal.

Daisy, hope the party is going/went well.
Gem, hope you both enjoy your time at the party tonight.

Nan2 it must be strange if you are used to going out on Saturdays.
Horse hair as in hair from horses Grauntie?!

Our friends were in, so we had a cuppa and nice chat for over an hour. We then went to Primark. OH got some T shirts. I bought pack of 4 micro tea towels for £3.50. I intend to take them to the parks for small lightweight towels after wet rides

Afternoon to one and all , I’m tired and what seemed a good idea having alterations done is already getting me down, just emptied all cupboards Oma you would be proud I found 5 bottles of Zoflora in a cupboard 🥴
We have decided go to Spain at last minute we fly out next Thursday and going for a fortnight, need to be home for DS as we promised to have the kids whilst they go to an 18 th birthday party, her nephew obviously her mum is going too, and I need to be back for half term too , also we would be better out of the way when walls come a tumbling down.
OH and I need some time alone I think , chats were made when we went to Harrogate he’s unwell and we need to sort stuff out as I miss g/c when away thinking on lines of selling the villa which is worth much more now and moving a bit nearer with a holiday home ,cest la vie, I’ll carry on the Spanish conversation on my YEO Spain thread 🤨

Qwerty I don't blame you going away while the work is done, as you have another place to go to. Good plan. Sorry to hear things not so good with OH I hope the break does you both good.
I know how much you miss the GC when away for as long as you were last time, I know I would find it too hard.
