Good to have everything done and sit back and relax Nan2.
DD2 phoned and asked if I wanted to join her and the children in seeing Frozen 2 this afternoon, after they had visited my mum to take her presents. I had to say No as our friend is coming. I was sorry to miss a trip with the children and I also want to see Frozen 2!

Doesn't feel like Christmas here, as we are going out for lunch tomorrow and DS's Boxing Day there has been no festive food arriving apart from my mince pies. Tomorrow morning the family will be together for present opening and then going to their partners' homes for the day. Boxing day we are all going to DS's for a curry feast, he is busy cooking. It is going to be a big crowd. Sil's mother had a fall 2 nights ago and didn't have her alarm on so was on the floor most of the night, she managed to pull a blanket over her. Not sure she is going to be well enough to come with us tomorrow.

Oma, hope the fresh air helps you sleep tonight. Father Christmas will not leave you any presents if you are not asleep. I still remember that magical moment when you woke up.

Gemini, I hope your mother is okay for the family Christmas gathering. I do hope so, it must effect your day if she refuses to come. So sorry about your car, I hope you find another that you like as much.

Daisy, you sound very relaxed listing all the things you have to do today. Have a lovely lunch with the family.

Afternoon ladies a bit dark and trying to rain here but it’s warm and festive in the home , like Daisy but not resting , I’m baking Christmas morning muffins whilst the Kings college carols are on makes the baking flow . Tonight OH will peel the spuds and I will do the veg , I ve bought a sprout au gratin from Aldi see how that goes down better than peeling and putting crosses in the sprouts , stuffing will be prepared and pigs in blankets assembled . I will prepare starters in the morning easy prawn cocktail just the sauce to make .
Buffet Boxing Day but somehow it seems more hard work than a cooked meal I will cook Ham when the guests have gone home tomorrow .
Lizzie will tell you about my nuisance of a bladder after Xmas as it’s s long story ,most of the ladies have followed my illness if you can call it that Glamma has a similar problem, but at the moment ladies all is fairly calm if I can keep it that way till new year.
Gem sad about the car , whenever we sell a car on I feel quite emotional .
Enfys there is something comforting about getting jobs done and sitting back on our laurels
Oma good that your BP was normal I go back in January I think
I received my Tesco order yesterday and it was spot on no substitutes , the streaky bacon that I ordered for the pigs in blankets and to cover the turkey I could have easily put in a sandwich .
Hope everyone is in fine spirits and those not hope you get some good karma and hope we all get what we want from Santa
Enjoy your Christmas you lovely ladies, oh and OH is making an effort

Have spent day enjoying doing nothing festive related! DS has dinner organised though I expect I shall be doing most of the cooking! He’ll get turkey in oven before we arrive and I’ll sort out rest. No sprouts to be had anywhere so it’s carrots and cauliflower instead!! Hope everyone has a lovely day! Here’s the view from our room of the presidential palace all lit up for Christmas x

It sounds as though we are all starting to relax, ready for tomorrow!

I've still got to lay the table and make mince pies and apple tart. DIL2 called round with the turkey-lurkey, which she'd got from their local farm shop. It's a monster! But fortunately it will go in the oven - but nothing else will. It's all dressed and oven-ready now - that was a bit of a battle, and either OH or DS will have to manhandle it once it cooking. Otherwise, the dogs will have an almighty feast if it ends up on the kitchen floor! I've peeled the potatoes, and sprouts, and prepared the stuffing - do the rest in the morning. We're not sure how many we're catering for. My DIL2's mum should be joining us, but her (Mum, that is) brother passed away this afternoon, and obviously she's very upset. We've left it up to her - she's very welcome but not to worry if she doesn't feel like company.

I have read everyone's post, and I'm sorry I haven't replied individually, but I need to get these last couple of jobs done and an early night beckons. I know Santa won't come if I'm not asleep.

Don't tell anyone but Santa's already been. I have a new mobile fone. Yippppeeee! OH couldn't wait to give it to me & for once in my life I'm speechless. I hope all you ladies have been on Santa's 'nice list' & get what you want.

(OH nipped to Sainsbo's this afternoon to get DD a tub of chocs she'd forgotten. He said they were taking down Christmas decs. He asked if Christmas had gone already & he'd missed it & the shop worker said they're making space for Easter. Never!😲).

Good morning and Merry Christmas Nan2 and all

Our friend will join us for the traditional scrambled eggs smoked salmon and toast breakfast (small portions all round!) then she will set off for her DD's and we will open our presents. I can have Bucks Fizz this morning, as I won't be driving to get mum as every other year, OH will have to go. Every cloud, eh?!

                      Have a wonderful day ladies.

Good morning and Merry Christmas from me.

The turkey's in, the veg are (mostly) prepared, the table's set, so just waiting for the party to begin. I had a lovely little video from friends in Western Australia - the children, brown as berries, and after having fun on the beach, shouting Happy Christmas before they dived into the pool. At least we've got sunshine today.

                        Enjoy your Day, ladies.

                            Happy Christmas to all.

A bad night with OH . I don’t want to spoil the mood so will save the details for another time.

Thoughts of course with Glamm and Tizzy’s family.

All quiet here, not sure what time the family are coming for present opening before we leave for the restaurant. Have a lovely day everyone. Thoughts are with Tizzy and Glamm's family.

                                Good morning, very sunny here.

Just getting ready to go to DDs, it’s only over the road so won’t need to take the car. DS is FaceTiming from Australia when we are all together. He sent us pictures of them all on the beach, looked lovely.

Thinking of Glam today, also Tizzy’s family.

Clover, hope you can enjoy today, x

Have a lovely day everyone 🎄🌞x
