Well Surgery will be within 18 weeks , said my Diabetes will not be a problem like my finger was , different surgeons have different ideas ,

Wanted me to have my pre op today but there was a 90 min wait then another hour to do assessment so I have made appointment for January 17th at 9am first in so no waiting in queue .

Had to have a camera put up my nose to see my voice box as its next to voice box and she wanted to make sure there was no problem there , it was straight forward didn't hurt just a strange feeling

    Now its just waiting .

Oma, good for you to know you will get seen to within 18 weeks.

What a morning. Doctor eventually came, and said they have both got the nasty virus thats going round. he told them they aren't doing themselves any favours being in bed. Well thats easier said than done.
Got antibiotics for both of them.
If you had seen them this morning, you would have been sending for the undertaker, as hubby so nicely puts it.
Sister in law that goes on a Tuesday, started feeling poorly yesterday,so i might have to go to in laws in the morning.
Going back later to get them settled, but come hell or high water,we are going to see GD1.

Daisy, hope OH eye appointment went well.

Nanto2....that virus must be all over the country because it sounds like what my GS has. When I phoned his school to say he wouldn't be in the secretary said she'd had several calls giving the same symptoms! He was brighter this afternoon and I was quite happy to hand his care back to his parents! Hope the in-laws soon recover and you don't have to be rushing back and forward and that you managed to visit GD1 without any interruptions!

Nana - I'm glad you're getting a chance to catch up at home - but please don't overdo things, you must be exhausted. Everything crossed for DD's results on Wednesday. xxx

Nanto - oh, your poor in-laws. It must take it out of them, especially when both of them are ill - but hard on you too. xxx

WeeGranny - I think you're right about the viruses going round. Our two GDs have been poorly with it since Friday, and I don't think GD2 will be fit for school tomorrow.

Plant - I think it's better to try and get that painful tooth sorted. You don't want to get an infection in it. I think it's at least £10 every time you blink in the dentists!

Oma, waiting isn't nice, but at least you've got an action plan. I hope it was a very small camera!! xxx

We got as far as taking the tree downstairs to the hall - I hope I get a chance to put it up tomorrow. I don't suppose OH will feel like putting the outside lights up, though. They'll have to wait!

Off to bed after a long day. Night, night everyone. xx

                  Night everyone.

I will catch up more with chat tomorrow. I am so tired I was falling asleep playing my card game on the laptop!
No idea why, except I wake earlier than I would choose these days!
I hope you have a better nights sleep tonight Daisy.

We had a lovely afternoon with auntie.
Talk to you all tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

Well £160 poorer, I now have my tooth packed with a dressing to avoid getting another infection and an appt. to see another dentist early Jan. To extract it, goodness knows what that will cost. I was quite impressed with the dental surgery and liked the young lady dentist who dealt with me. I did explain that I wasn't wanting to change dentist but just need to get this tooth removed. They have a specialist dentist who visits and have made an appt. for me to see him.

Nanto, I hope the in laws will feel better soon and all the other poorly folk.

Gem you must need the sleep sometimes it just all catches up with you and you cant keep your eyes open , sweet dreams lv xx

Nanto getting them out of bed wont be easy , its bad enough when one is ill but two together is a nightmare ,

WG we have same problem in our schools the kids are going down like flies with this bug , Hope he recovers soon xx

Daisy hope J is less sore tomorrow , you need a break away for a few days re charge and relax .

Camera wasn't too bad didn't hurt just a strange feeling and she was very gentle

Another try at catching up, Plant, what an expensive tooth! I hope the pain has gone now, nothing worse!

Nanto, your poor in-laws, both being down with a virus at the same time, hope they soon recover.

Daisy, one day at a time with your OH. All worrying things for everyone at the moment.

Oma, it would be a strange feeling having a camera up your nose.

If I have missed anyone, sorry. I had a busy day yesterday, gym, then went to get a tracker fixed in my car for my new insurance, I don't drive much, with son working from home when he isn't away that is, GD2 cycles to school so don't have to pick her up, I do miss her though!! This new insurance, I buy bundles of 1000 km, usually do about 3,000 a year so works out cheaper, going to Wales in September though so that will be a few kms extra! Then I went to aqua fit yesterday afternoon, I take a neighbour with me and it looked like rain so we did go in the car, not far really.

Eldest son is in Leeds often for his work, he was there last week and on Saturday he went to castle Howard, he has been before and enjoyed the afternoon.

Good morning all. I’ve been wide awake since about 3am with stupid things going through my mind.
Example... Must look in my makeup box to check if I need a new blusher brush...... Must remember to buy new shoe laces for my trainers..... Shall I buy a new calendar or wait and see if I get one for Christmas. As you can see it’s all very important world issues going on in my brain !
We are going to the cemetery today to place mini Christmas trees on the many graves we visit. It’s going to be cold there I would think as we have a touch of frost outside at the moment. Still we will wrap up warm and then go into town and get some bread and milk .

Plant although that that seems like a lot of money it’s well worth it if you are going to be pain free .

Nan2 I’m amazed that the dr gave them some antibiotics, they are rarer than hens teeth with our drs . As for not staying in bed , this virus really takes it out of you. So many around here are struck down with it, especially families with little one’s.

Oma that camera up your nose sounds uncomfortable!

                          Have a good day ladies

Good morning Mimi, and all who follow.
Frosty here, wrap up warm if you are going out.

Going round to in laws later, make them some tea and turn the heating up.
Hoping one of the sister in laws will come and relieve me. Want to get a few jobs done at home.
                            Don't mean to sound selfish.

We did get to visit GD1, and it was lovely to catch up with each others news.

Off to do a bit of tidying before going out.
                            I will be back.

                              Good morning ladies.
                              It's foggy here just now.

Oma, at least you have an idea now of when your op will be done.
Daisy I hope your OH feels a bit better today. You both need some quality relaxation time!
Plant I hope your tooth is more comfortable today after your treatment.
Lizzie, you have a busy life
Mimi, our minds do stupid things when we lie awake don't they?!
Nan2 I'm glad you got to GD's and I hope your SIL does see to your in laws. You are a very good DIL.

I hope everyone poorly, worried or sad is starting to feel better.

Tuesday, so it is GS1 from school. I must check whether or not he has after school club, its been cancelled for seasonal activities lately.
This morning is my final reflexology treatment of the year. Hopefully it will be more relaxing than the last one. GS2 was in hospital with the severe nosebleed that day so it was hard to relax!
This morning I must write the last handful of cards, and address them and get them into the post!

                              Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all you early risers - and those who call in later.

Nanto - You must feel as though you're on a bit of a treadmill at the moment with your Aged Ps needing so much care. I do hope one of your SILs can take over. You never, ever sound selfish - we end up splitting ourselves into tiny pieces trying to care for old and young in our families and live our own lives as well. I'm glad you managed to see GD1 and have a good catch up. xx

Mimi - it's usually the really important things in life that occupy our minds in the wee small hours. Have you checked your make-up box yet?

Lizzie - you certainly did have a busy day. The tracker for your car sounds a really good idea if it keeps your premiums down. You're lucky you have alternatives to help as well, to say nothing of the health benefits of cycling. It's quite a sea change, isn't it when our grandchildren start to become independent and no longer need ferrying everywhere. Does your DS1 enjoy coming over to the UK with work? Was he born here or in Holland?

Plant - that sounds like a lot of money to spend on a tooth you're going to have out anyway, but you can't put a price on being pain-free, so I'm sure it's worth it.

Gem - I hope you had a good night's sleep. You've had a lot on just lately and sadness over losing little cat must be weighing heavily on you. It's all too easy to put emotions to one side because you're busy, but it's still a drain on you. Sending hugs. xxx
