We understand how you must feel Oma. It's as though they are saying 'Youre not good enough to be in the children's lives all year, but expensive presents most welcome'
As you say, were it not for the children you would tell them where to get off

What a cheek Oma. Still we all know you wouldn't not want to get your GC a gift. Do be careful lifting or you might end up like poor old Gem. Sorry to hear about all you poorly Grans & hope you get better soon. Enfys that must have given you a shock when you woke up.

GS3 not well yesterday & today but DD said she'd taken him to docs to be on the safe side. Had my eyes tested today & all's well there. Another ✔

Blimey what a day. Went to in laws as usual this morning.
A couple of hours later,(we had just eaten dinner) mam rang, saying my leg is bleeding.
I knew DS1 and GD2 were coming to visit this afternoon, but i went round to see to her.
She didn't know what she had done to make it bleed.
Cleaned her up and put a plaster on. Bleeding had stopped.
Told her i couldn't stay due to having visitors.
DS1 and GD2 were here when i got home. ½ an hour later, brother in law rang.
Said mam wants to see the doctor, getting upset because she is on warfarin.

Well done if you've got this far.

Had to go back round to calm her down, and BIL had rung for a doctors visit.
Suddenly BIL had to go then.
Doctor didn't come until nearly 6pm. Said everything was ok and gave me a dirty look.
As i was seeing the doctor out, i made sure he knew it wasn't me that had sent for him.
Hubby came to pick me up, but didn't get home till gone 7,as ended up making ma and pa ham salad sandwiches.

Hope nothing else happens over the weekend. 3 sister in laws and husbands have all gone away today,to varying parts of the country.

Forgive me for not replying to posts, will have to catch up tomorrow.

Nan2 what an eventful day. Glad your Mam's ok. You'd have to be dying to get a dr to do a home visit from our surgery. I wonder why she was worried when the bleeding had stopped? Nan2 to the rescue.

(I have 2 GC here for a sleepover tomoro so might not be on here for a few days.)

Oma - what a cheek! But I know you would want to give the GCs a nice present, but given the situation, I do think their parents need a slap! (I'm not usually violent, but they've made me very cross on your behalf).

Nanto - oh dear, what a day. I can't understand why your BIL would phone the doctor if the bleeding had stopped - unless he couldn't calm your mum down. Poor you, as always picking up the pieces, but full marks to the GP for making a house call, even if he was a bit exasperated. I'm so glad he realised it wasn't your doing. I hope your MIL is ok overnight, and her leg is ok.

Nana - take it easy. Sleepovers are hard work for us grans, and it's only a week since your hospital 'experience'. I hope the GCs sleep well so you can (hopefully) do the same. xx

Oma, the nerve of some people, but i know you would want to get them nice presents.
Hope all the sleepovers tonight go well.

Christmas cards were posted yesterday. Just have to hand deliver the neighbours cards.

Good morning Nan2 and Frosty, and everyone else
It certainly is frosty where I am.
Good to hear no overnight dramas Nan2!
Golf for OH at midday. She likes playing on frosty hard ground, but it may be thawed by then.
I will go to see my mum this afternoon and get the Christmas boxes downstairs for her. I had intended to go tomorrow, but I think we now have plans with SIL and the children (DD is away) so it makes sense to go today, when OH is busy.
GS1 overnight tonight, I will make up his bed this morning.

Have a good day ladies, keep warm!

Crickey Oma,it doesn't seem like 3 years since B's transplant.
                          How time flies.
                          Enjoy the doggy party.

Good morning everyone, including Frosty! It's cold here but no frost. I really must get my tender plants wrapped up in their snug jackets today,

Oma - happy third birthday to B. It still seems like a miracle to me, Oma. xx Enjoy your doggy party. Is this going to be a lot of excited huskies?

Gem - I hope your OH gets the nice frosty conditions she likes. Your mum will be pleased to get her decorations out.

Nanto - you are well -organised. I know you start preparing for Christmas in good time. I also am making progress - OH bought stamps the other day!

I hope all the Grans with sleepovers are starting the day full of energy and raring to go.

I must do some of the things I didn't do yesterday, (the dreaded dusting!) order dog food for Eva for December, and as I said cosy my tender plants up for the frosty nights.

Sending hugs to all those under the weather for whatever reason. xxx

Enfys, I am allergic to so many things and have had that reaction to wool, but, didn't know it had a name!

Good morning all, very cold here and quite dark too.

thank goodness, face is almost back to normal just my chin still a bit puffy. Lizzie, I really don’t know what caused it, just one of those things.

Out later for my knit and natter but I think I’ll be doing more nattering, don’t want to risk my neck again with too much knitting, It’s almost better, thank you Daisy, but has left me a bit headachy, tension I guess.

Happy 3 rd birthday to B, Oma. I can’t believe it’s that long ago.

P has a little job to finish in the garden but the weather looks better for tomorrow so I’ve persuaded him to leave it for today.

Clover, how are you? You are in my thoughts 😘

Have a good day everyone 🌞
