Nana - it's great to see you back after your difficult week. Take care of yourself. My OH says thank you for your concern and he hopes your jaw joint is ok.

Nanto - as always, you're very organised. I wish I could be like that.

Plant - yes, it is awful losing loved ones at this time of year. Today is my Dad's anniversary - 58 years. So hard to believe. And yesterday was my Mum's (30 years). You never forget do you. xx

We took Eva up to the paddock at lunch time and had about 15 minutes before the rain came down. That was ok, as Eva's still got a poorly leg from last week so we didn't want to overexercise her. But I wish she hadn't run into the house - straight upstairs and on to our bed. There are clear muddy paw prints all over the mattress protector as I'd stripped the bedding for washing. Hey ho, the joys of sharing life with a hairy hound!

Nana, good to see you posting again.

After the early morning rain it has been dry.

Daisy what a challenging time with anniversaries. Not easy. Thanks Nan2 & Daisy, good to be back posting. Plant I am wondering why your meds aren't controlling your AF. I hope it calms down soon. Take care.x

Just come to bed, Fibrillation stopped about an hour ago, fingers crossed it stays that way. I have a small device in my chest which records the attacks which is transferred onto a recording machine twice a year at the hospital. I presume someone reads it. Meds keep it under control most of the time

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Plant I'm glad to hear it settled down.
We have had a lovely time in Harrogate. Breakfast to come, but before then I want a soak in the roll top bath. We have a bath at home, but there's something nice about the big roll top ones!

              Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Nanto, Gem and all who follow later.

Nanto - that little piggy made me smile - he looks very happy in his bath.

Plant - I'm glad the AF has settled down. Let's hope it stays that way. It's worth asking what the recording device actual says next time it's checked, because it must make you feel uncomfortable and worried when it plays up.

Gem - pleased to hear you have had a lovely time. The cocktails (pics on FB) looked enormous!

I did my usual getting up early and mad rush round to go and collect Cooper. Then DIL2 phoned to say they'd take him to the shop today as he's hurt his tail and can't wag, which makes it hard for him to play with Eva. It's happened before - the daft animal bashes against doors, furniture, trees - anything in fact and bruises it. So I've now got a free day until the girls come out of school. I might to the washing - the basket is overflowing. Happy days!!

Good morning all. Pouring with rain here but not so cold. P wants to go out for coffee this morning and I want to pop into Hobbycraft so that’s the plan.

We went over to DDs for a meal yesterday and very nice it was too, almost a Christmas dinner except it was gammon 🙂. Felt tired when we eventually got home but we’d been playing table tennis so not surprised. Slept really well last night too, so all good.

                    Glad you’re feeling better Plant.

Have a good day everyone ☔️

Another dreary day, just called the cat in, he was sheltering outside the cabin hoping GD would let him in but they are at work. He has a cat flap into the main bungalow, silly cat. Dentist for me this afternoon to fit a crown so shouldn't be too painful but paying the bill will be. I also want to collect a voucher for DD from her favourite cosmetic shop. Thank you for asking, I slept fine. I drank a bottle of ice cold tonic (no gin) with my meal and fib. suddenly stopped. I asked about the reading they get from the device in my chest and apparently someone reads it. I presume they would call me in if they think I need to be seen.

It is nice to have a lovely roast dinner cooked for you Enfys. Pleased you slept well.

Wish I could get in a bath, roll top would be nice. I can get in but no hope of getting out. Sounds like you are enjoying your break.

Poor Cooper Daisy, he will have to learn to stop wagging his tail near the door and furniture. Enjoy your free day.

Scrambled eggs for breakfast, he certainly is a spoiled pooch but he is worth it I am sure.

Daisy, enjoy your easier day,now you aren't having Cooper.
Gem, hope you enjoyed your soak.
We've got a bath, but we both prefer to get showered.

I've had quite a productive day - all the washing done and most of it dried. The rest goes on the ironing pile for another day! In the end I didn't even have to pick the girls up from school. The other Granny was in town and she said she'd pick them up. It saved me about a 20 mile journey, and I have to say it was lovely not to have to go out on such a miserable day. Hopefully Cooper's tail will be back to its waggy self tomorrow.

I've spent this afternoon writing a little Christmas story which I'll put up later.

Off to feed Eva - she's just been in to remind me it's her teatime. I swear that dog can tell the time.

We came back early afternoon. It was so wet and miserable we didn't feel like going anywhere on the way back.
Since then we have taken two cats (separately) to the vet!
                            It deserves its own thread.

Ventured out today. DD2's birthday on Weds so had to get her a gift. What a horrible dank day. Back home warm & cosy now & OH cooking tea. Still no success finding a new top.

Speaking of baths, we have a roll top one but not for long I don't think. The other day I got in but couldn't get out. Had to use the GCs' step. 😲 I shower mostly but love a soak every now & then. Plant I hope your dentist visit went well.

Dentist fitted a crown on a lower front tooth, she had to pack out the gum so she could fit it low and tight enough. Feeling very sore now, bought a pasta meal in M&S to have for dinner.
