Oh, that sounds a yummy dinner Enfys, very pleased to hear your OH was feeling up to a trip out.

Oma, has B come out of his shed yet?

Daisy, don't disturb that dust, it will only come back again. You could play a lovely game with your GD's, getting their room ready for their sleep over.

Oma - you're quite right - no-one will notice the dust, but Eva seems to think it's spring and is moulting mountains of ginger hairs everywhere. They gather in clumps and roll round our hard floors like tumbleweed, growing as they roll! I had to smile at the thought of B playing with his new filing cabinet. I wonder what he's putting in it!

My OH still doesn't really believe that some clocks adjust themselves. He keeps asking if I've changed this or that. It's one of my jobs, except for his chiming wind-up one.

Enfys - I bet it did you both good to get out for a little while. I'm so pleased P was feeling up to it.

It's been a lovely sunny day, but a bit chilly. We put the garden table, chairs and parasol to bed for the winter today while it was dry, and took Eva to the paddock for a good run which she really enjoyed. She doesn't know Cooper's coming for a sleepover as well as the girls!

Plant - there's all sorts of stuff lying around in the girls' bedroom, with all the sorting out we're doing, and I don't really want to have to resort everything after they've kindly re-arranged it all. I've prepared some Halloween drawing and decorations for them, and they've got pumpkins to design and carve (with a lot of help!)

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.
Frosty roofs and lawns here too. The sun is melting it now.
How lovely getting away from the chilly mornings for a while Nan2
Daisy, we put our garden furniture away a couple of weeks ago.

This morning OH is doing some gardening for an elderly couple. This afternoon we are going into town. OH is going to renew her passport and have the photo taken. Hers is valid for our holiday to Florida in April, but there won't be time to renew it between then and her Portugal trip. Also she wants it done before the joy which is Brexit.

                Happy Monday ladies

                  Good Monday morning everyone.

The first frost of the winter - I had to de-ice the car at 8 am this morning. Such joy!

But the sun's shining now even though it's still chilly. I've been to collect two excited little GDs and doggo. They've brought enough cuddly toys to fill a toy shop, but nearly forgot their toothbrushes, coats and wellies. LOL They're busy plotting for their midnight feast, bless them.

Nanto - it sounds as though you're well organised for your holiday. I love the graphic, by the way.

Gem - It's as well to get passports done in good time!

I hope every one is ok. Happy Monday.

Daisy, the GD's will love it staying at yours.

All packed up and housework done.
Sun is shining here but quite chilly.

gem, always good to get passports sorted sooner rather than later.

I bet the GD's are excited Daisy. My older 2DDs loved sleepovers at their grandparent's. Much more exciting when there are 2 of them
Nan2, is it tomorrow you go on holiday?

I have prepared the spare room for GS1 tomorrow night, done some washing, dusting and hoovering, so not been idle all morning for once

Well your break is coming at just the right time for you Nan2.

We got the passport done, and had lunch in Betty's!
A while ago we were given 2 afternoon tea vouchers. One each is too many cakes, so we have hit on the ideal solution. One afternoon tea, one extra sandwich, a portion of chips and an extra pot of tea. That gives us each 4 little sandwiches, half a portion of chips, half a scone with jam and cream, a pot of tea and one and one and a half little cakes. Perfect, and it spreads the pleasure over 2 occasions. Sadly this was the second voucher, so they are both gone now!

Good you got the passport done. One less thing to bother about.

I'll try and check in from sunny(i hope) Spain.
