Evening All.
It’s jolly cold here in Suffolk! I am wearing most of my clothes at once!. Plant make sure you have a fleece or warm jacket for Norfolk.
We are all full to bursting having eaten in the local Pub. I shall have to sleep sitting up.

I am wondering if I should unpack and add some jumpers Grauntie and perhaps a scarf or two. I hope I have covered for all eventualities. I have to be up quite early to be at the coach soon after 9am. We are stopping at Ely at lunchtime and a visit to the Cathedral. Should arrive at hotel just outside Norwich about 4.30, time for a swim before dinner.

Plant,you will probably go past the turning to my village if you go on the A10 to Ely. If you see the Taste of Goa that's the entrance to the village. Ely Cathedral,or The Ship of The Fens is beautiful. Enjoy your break. We're off down to Suffolk tomorrow so I can't come and give you a wave !

WG, I will look out for that sign if we are on the A10. Saw Ely Cathedral with OH some years ago, interested to go back. By the way WG, if you haven't been to the Polecat in Prestwood since it has been enlarged, it is worth a visit. We had lunch there yesterday, we shall go back.

Everything packed and checked several times, DD taking me to the coach at 9am. Still keep wondering what I have forgotten, tablets definitely in. Sunny atm but very chilly. I will check in later.

We have been invited to DD's for lunch SIL is cooking a roast so that's a nice surprise ,

Intended only doing the basics this morning a bit dusting and a hoover , but one job lead to another and I ended up pulling all the furniture out washing skirtings and doors and hoovering under and behind everything , cleaned all kitchen doors and worktops polished wall tiles etc now im pooped .

Went for a shower and had to sit down for 10 mins to get some strength back before I could get in shower , im not as fit or as young as I was even though my mind says otherwise

The sun is out and it looks lovely but still a nip in the air , have a good day ladies xxx

Good morning all. I’m just popping by to see what everyone is up to .

DD rang last night to arrange when she will be picking us up later for GS’s girlfriend 18th birthday party today.
As you may be aware, we are going to an after wedding reception next week . DIL said her brother rang and he would really like us to be there for the wedding also and would we like to attend.
We said yes that would be lovely and when I put the phone down I thought what am I going to wear as the out fit I brought for the evening do would look completely out of place . Then inspiration struck, I still have the dress, jacket and even the hat I wore to DD ‘s wedding, I could wear that..... if it still fits... after all it was 8 years ago ..... and I am so pleased to say it all fits. I think I am more pleased about that than the actual wedding.

Oma I think Sunday roast taste so much nicer when you don’t have to cook it yourself, enjoy!

Sadly we were only down in Suffolk for the day! It would have been nice if it could have been longer, but hospital appointments,funeral to attend and various other things are on the calendar instead. However, it's only 3 weeks until we jet off to the Middle East.Managed to change flights from BA so they can strike all they want, we're sorted!

Grauntie...if you're still in Suffolk and like fish, try The Oysterage in Orford. Just had lunch there and realised we've been going there for about 40 years! I think it's an Orford institution now.

Sorry this is my first chance to pop in and say 'hello' today. I can't comment on everything, but it sounds as though all is well in our GRU world, even if it is a bit chilly.

OH and his brother got up at 6 am today to go and do a car boot sale. They managed to sell quite a few things and felt it was worth doing. We've not finished having our roast dinner - chicken, roasties, veg, etc, followed by strawberries and ice cream, and it's so chilly we've put the heating on.

We've got Cooper tomorrow and then the girls after school.

We've had a bit of a day here. Remember me saying the cat was ok now?
We kept noticing wet patches and eventually realised they were coming from her
. Not urine, she is using the litter tray for that
This is clear odourless fluid
Her tummy and legs get wet but we can't work out where it comes from. She's eating and drinking and using litter tray and seems ok, so we will take her to the vet tomorrow. We phoned the emergency vet, and she had no idea what it could be over the phone.
Neither did our nurse friend who was here this evening.
I went out and bought lots of puppy pads so the furniture is covered in them. If it's not one thing it's another.
We did have a nice evening, despite the the puppy pads!
