Good morning, ladies. It's raining off and on here, but I think it's due to clear up later. Still not dry enough to hang the endless washing out though!

Oma - no wonder you're feeling down - constant pain drains you.

Mimi - I'm shocked at these waiting times. It makes you think you need to anticipate any medical issues and book in advance, just in case!

Gem - poor you. When it hurts to walk you just don't feel like doing anything, but you're so busy you can't really rest as much as you ought to. My OH is still waiting for his next eye appointment. They should be every 4 weeks but it's just not happening. He's going to phone again today.

I think Eva and Cooper have tired themselves out while we were away. Eva has been very reluctant to play this morning (most unusual) and even Cooper is asleep on my feet!

Well that was a surprise. Just as I was banging on about waiting times with the NHS my GP rang me a day earlier than I was told.
She said that she was surprised that a ring back was required as my bloods came back normal.

I said that the receptionist told me there was issues with my kidney function therefore a telephone appointment was made so that I could speak to her.
She explained that my results for kidney function was a little below average but when you look back at all my blood test for the past 15 years or so it hasn’t changed at all. Apparently below average is normal for me so no need to worry.
Also the test for rheumatoid arthritis came back clear , so when I have the X-ray next week it will confirm that I just have wear and tear arthritis and as we all know, unless it becomes a problem with my hips, knees , or my toes get any worse I just have to grin and bear it.

I was dreading having rheumatoid arthritis as that comes with other problems.

OH ended up taking the cat to the vet, as I was working at the time of the only available appointment. She wasn't well again, so we booked her in and she now has a 3 week long antibiotic shot. Hopefully she will bounce back again.

Sorry I missed your post Gem before I replied to some others. I feel for you & others who have such long waits to see a Dr, especially if you're in pain. Your pain seems endless Oma. No wonder you feel drained. Mimi your cat can't half type fast.😉

I had a call from the dietician today, who I was referred to in August. She was angry that the Dr had sent me out a referral letter, as they shouldn't do it. I'm on the waiting list but there's no appointments. That's that then.😞

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

GS1 from school today. I'm not sure if I will be looking after him at home or here. If at his it will be a dark drive home at this time of year!
On my way there I must go to the gas fire place. The man came and measured up at my Mum's yesterday so today I will go in, pay a deposit and arrange a date for the fitting that I am free to be there.
OH is setting off for a golf competition. It will be soggy underfoot but in fact it is a bright sunny morning.

Dragging B to Ikea this morning , still residual pain but managed to go most of the night without pain killers so getting there ,

Meeting GS1 from school tonight taking him to local Guitar shop , he wants a Electric guitar he has seen its second hand so not expensive just to put him over till Christmas when his parents are buying him a new expensive one , he has about 4 ordinary guitars but the only electric one he has is on its last legs ,

Hes been saving for weeks for this one so now he has shown hes making a effort to save we thought we would treat him

Bright and sunny here though a bit parky compared to the temperatures we had last week! Been for flu jabs, OH had his done, but as I've had funny tum since getting back, nurse said it'd be best if I didn't have mine. Called at desk to get an emergency appointment, needless to say, there weren't any left today, but receptionist said the GP would call after surgery. So we wait. Most unlike me to have a problem like this. Looking on the bright side.....I'm lighter now than when we went away!

Our boilerman is here giving the boiler its MOT.....I've come on the computer for some peace...forgotten how much he chats while he's working!

Morning everyone. Oma. Thank goodness your pain is easing up. You must feel absolutely shattered. It's lovely to be able to help your GC , especially when they reach an age where they appreciate a helping hand. What a talented boy J is. Hope the sunshine helps to lift your spirits. That man of your's deserves a medal....do they award them at Ikea? Not more napkins?😉

I was thinking the same as Oma Gem. It does seem to be going on a while with your mum & the fireplace. I hope it's lovely for her when it's all fitted. Nan2 you can come round here to do some chores if you like. Oma I seem to think Plant was coming home last night. Must get crafting today. The quilt won't make itself.
