Good morning, try to read all the posts! Nanto, we don't get gammon here, but, when DS1 can he brings it home with him when he works in England.
Gem, hope the car and boiler get repaired, poor me, I am looking for a new washer, this one is 13 years old so can't complain, it washes warmer than it is supposed to, will see how it goes. I was looking yesterday at them but I just want one that washes etc without all those fancy programmes on it.
Daisy, hope you can get it all sorted out on this visit.
Plant, I hope your infection has cleared, painful!
Oma, a good oven cleaner is to rub soft green soap all over the oven ( don't know if you can get it in the UK), if you can't, ignore this!!! Put a dish with ammonia in the oven, leave overnight then just needs rinsing clean the next morning.
I have had a carry on this morning, my electric bike went for a service yesterday, had this one a year, such a nice young man that does it, really helpful, even polished it for me!! Was on my way to Delft this morning, a puncture, on the same road I had a puncture in June, I walked home that time but decided to try and mend it this morning, I always have a full repair kit with me, men were busy on a new road so I asked if I could put my bike in the compound, I was busy mending it and one of the men came and they thought I was leaving it there to pick up later! He was very impressed that I had the full kit with me and even more that I could (still) mend a puncture! He asked if I needed help and I told him if someone could turn it back over for me when I had finished I would be pleased, another man came and helped me, very nice of them. Then, I cycled back to the workshop I was at yesterday and asked him to check it for me, he said he would put a new tube? in for me and checked the tape, it had moved in one place and there was a sharpish edge, he thinks that is what was causing the puncture. He replaced the tape for me and fixed my wheel back up so I am feeling safe again. I do have a cycle pass for the AA, they will come out to help me where ever I am, if it is only a puncture there is no need for them coming out to me.
I am going for a meal this evening to DS2 and partner so have to drive there. I haven't GD2 this week as her father is working at home, GD1 is with school camp in the Belguim ardennes, they will be back tomorrow then GD2 goes next week, they stay in Holland.
I was planning on going to see Downton Abby this week, see if I can fit it in!

Afternoon ladies, very warm with wall to wall sunshine today. Nothing out of the ordinary for us, shopped at Morison, now home chomping lunch. One of those long, boring days. No M to collect again at almost 13 think she has outgrown her evening visit to Granny. 😥😥"What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

Lizzie I have heard about the soap thing , you can get green soap if you hunt for it
Clever you mending your bike , shame our roads are so busy bikes are not used much in most towns , I remember as a child we had cycle lanes its very rare to find them now well in the north east at least ,
Can you remember them as a child ? were there any where you lived ?
Enjoy your meal with DS2 ,
We had our very difficult MIL out for tea last night , she actually enjoyed every morsel for a change and had a good laugh , she can be good if she triesIm not fat just 6ft too small

I went to a private hospital to see a dentist who is able to remove a tooth. He warned me the hospital charge will be high and when the office told me it would be £2,000 just to use the hospital equipment and room, I told them it was out of the question, that is without the dentist fee. He did say he could do it cheaper in Oxford. I phoned his Secretary when I got home and cancelled the appt. I will still have his consultation fee to pay. I will have to go to the local hospital which I am not happy about as she really hurt me last time. This is all because I have Prolia injections for my osteoarthritis, one more year to go still. I feel like saying I am going to stop the injections. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Hello everyone.
Good for you Lizzie! You used to ride a motorbike didn't you? I'm sure cycle fixing is well within your skillsI hope you have a nice meal tonight.
Oh Plant that is really expensive! Tell them that it hurt last time, and they can give you better pain relief, surely. My first cataract operation was very painful (when everyone told me it wouldn't be) So I told them when I had the next eye done. They said my eyes are maybe more sensitive than some, but I think they did tinker with the dose and it wasn't as painful second time.
Good to hear MIL enjoyed eating out Oma.
Car is fixed and not too expensive. We had an estimate so it wasn't a shock. Dentist not too bad either. That is to be paid in November when I go back for the filling I knew had fallen out replacing. Plumber is in the loft now, no idea how much that will cost!
I went to Pets at Home to collect the case of 24 cans of diabetic cat food waiting for me, only to find one can!! I had definitely ordered and paid fora case of 24. No one could understand how it happened as it's sold by case not by can! Anyway another case of 24 is ordered and due at the store tomorrow, and I came home with the one erroneous one!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Lizzie, well done for fixing your bike. DS2 is keen cyclist.
Oma,pleased MIL was well behaved.
Plant, they know what to charge when anyone wants to go private.
Gem,good to hear car and dentist weren't too expensive.
Hope the boiler is fixed and hoping that isn't too expensive as well.
The gammon we had today was lovely. Still got some left. Just had a sandwich with it.
Spent quite a bit of time this afternoon looking at dresses. Want one for GD1 wedding.
Seen about 4 that i really like, one of them is dark grey and i keep going back to it.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nan2 I really like that dress with the lace jacket. You could spend all day looking for an outfit but not find one as nice as this. I personally would buy it while it still has my size in Far too many times I have dithered over something only to find when I finally decide to buy it my size has sold out.
What colour shoes and handbag are you going to go with it. Are you wearing a hat or fascinator ? When is GD1’s wedding.
Plant that cost at the hospital is enough to make your eyes water! Plant is there an option to stop the injections for a short while so that you can receive your dental treatment and then restart the injections.?
While Nan2 has been looking at exciting and nice things to buy I have been (and have succeeded in buying from Amazon) a hands free battery operated can opener as I have more bad days than good ones now when it come to gripping and turning a hand held can opener. The next thing to purchase is some flat bed sheets as I can’t grip to get the fitted ones over the mattress. It’s non stop excitement in this house I tell you!
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
