    Evening all,
Just popping in to say hello. We’ve had a very busy week here, trying to get ship shape outside whilst the good weather lasts. OH has at last sawn all the logs and I was chief stacker. Many jobs have been done.
I joined Slimming World as a sneaky stone has crept about my person! This is soooo hard, don’t know how long I’ll last. It’s making me very bad tempered.
Anyhoo, glad to see you are all ok.
WG, that pic nearly made me cry. Baklava is my favourite. Welcome home Avo, have you adjusted yet? Nanto, I very nearly did the same yesterday but I was lucky! Oma, where do you get your energy from? Plant, I don’t envy you with the decorating but it will be wonderful when it is done. Gem, enjoy your GC. I hope they don’t get you up too early.
Thundery showers forecast here tomorrow so a good excuse to sew all day! 😁
    Sleep tight Each.

        Good morning Nan2 and everyone.

A quick hello from me this morning.
GC are here, they are being collected before 10 so we can get off for our Coronation Street tour. DD and GC will probably stay at ours for a bit when we go as GS has a party nearby at 11.
Tonight is a friend's birthday celebration so we will be going out for a meal.

        Have a good Sunday 😊

          Morning ladies ,
Nanto its nice to have a day when you can just take your time doing stuff isn't it ,

Gem enjoy your day , outing and dinner out sounds like a good day to me

Nothing planned here either , waiting for a parcel to be delivered and just pottering , usual housework and darks in washer , Very tired today again it was after 4 when I got to bed and up again at 7.30 , think I have had about 7 hours in the last two nights ,

Been looking at my eyebrows they need a tidy up and im thinking about getting eye lashes tinted , when my hands are shaking I have a right carry on getting mascara on without putting my eye out with the wand and getting it all over the place ,

One day im going to be wearing a eye patch and have a parrot on my shoulder

B is making Potato bread this morning it smells gorgeous
Have a good day ladies hope everyone is ok xxx

Been raining here overnight, GS2 is under canvas in the New Forest. It is my Dil's birthday today, I have been invited for food at 2p.m. but all their friends will be there then, I might pop over this morning with the presents instead as I know their house will be full of noisy friends this afternoon.

I have never had potato bread Oma, sounds good. I am hopeless at making bread. I am thinking of have my eye lashes tinted Oma, I can't see without my glasses on. I hope you get a good sleep tonight.

Oma/Plant.....I have my lashes tinted and it's well worth it! No running mascara or panda eyes! Mine lasts about 6 weeks and I get it done at the local beauty salon.

                  Afternoon all.
Weather is foul today, the rain has battered down my Christmas potatoes and the Michaelmas Daisy’s . In 24 hours the garden has gone from looking like summer to autumn!
Tomorrow I have to phone the dentist as I have just broken a tooth, I expect an appointment is going to be expensive!

Oma / Plant my friend used to have her eyelashes tinted on a regular occasion, and my other friend had eyebrows tattooed because over plucking them had left her with hardly any eye brow at all.

Plant I no longer make bread as my hands are too painful for all that kneading

OH is watching the rugby today, I haven’t got a clue about the rules , it’s all stop and start for me , I can’t get into it at all.

                  Have a good day everyone

Hallo, we are in for rain next week, but at the moment it is very warm, strange weather. Years ago I had my eyelashes tinted, maybe a good idea to get them done again. Nanto, a few years ago I was busy decorating, put my clothes in the washer when I had finished, couldn't find my phone, no, because it was still in the pocket of my jeans.

DS1 is in South Africa this week for his work, in Cape Town today, DS2 and partner are on Rhodos for a week. DIL will be working from home this week so I won't be picking GD2 up from school, she goes on school camp on Wednesday and will be home on Friday.

I have had a busy few days choosing a new washer!!! This one is 13 years old and has started washing too hot and I don't want that, there are so many to choose from, maybe decided and will go tomorrow as it is in the village and see about delivery etc.

I am just looking to see who asked about cycle paths where I came from in England, can't find the post, but, no, we didn't have cycle paths, lived in a small village about 15 miles from Hull, could cycle everywhere on the quiet country roads. I have just read the half marathon in Amsterdam has been cancelled because of the heat!!! It is certainly warm.

Lizzie its finding the right one for you isn't it , we were talking about this last night , we had to buy a new Freezer last week and didn't want one you had to defrost so had to look around ,
I said yesterday if my washer went im not fussed about a all singing all dancing one I just need one that does a normal wash and a short wash , some are to damn complicated ,

Mimi I cant kneed bread by hand anymore either , B still does it all by hand wont have a bread maker .

WG I think I will ask about it next time I have a hair appointment, the salon I go to does it all .

That is what I told the man in the shop when he asked what I wanted of a machine, just one that washes, nothing fancy! You can get them with wifi!!!!!! I know what you mean about your twin nieces, my eldest nephew is 56 years old, a granddad to 5 and it doesn't seem that long ago I was walking him in the pram like you did with your nieces.

Lizzie,it isn't warm here.Been raining off and on since 9am.
When i was shopping for a new phone yesterday, the chap in the shop said they get 3 or 4 a week, where the phones have fallen in the loo or been through the washer.

Raining here now after a warm morning! Decided it's not worth while restocking the shelves as we go away on Friday, so only got enough to see us over the next few days.

Trouble is finding a machine that just does the essentials these days isn't it? Salespeople look at you as if you're bonkers when you say you don't want/need all the programmes! There are some programmes on my washing machine that I've never used!

That's one thing I liked when we lived in Holland, Lizzie...the cycle paths! Knew you were quite safe from any other road traffic, unlike in this lovely city of Cambridge! We used to cycle everywhere!

Enjoy your Sunday evening ladies x

We had a good time at the Coronation Street Tour. Rain was forecast for the time of our tour. We were lucky as it began after our tour when we had left the studios, crossed the bridge and found somewhere to have lunch.
Our kind neighbours came in to feed diabetic puss while we were out.
We are meeting our friends for a pre dinner drink at 7, the table is booked for 8pm. We want to walk down (its in our village) so fingers crossed the rain stays away.
