No plans for today,will just go with the flow.

Mimi, GD1 doesn't get married until March, but i would like to get my outfit sooner rather than later.
I will probably wear a fascinator.
Not sure yet what colour shoes etc.

I always buy sheets fromAmazon. I don't like fitted sheets.
We have an electric can opener, very easy to use.

Nanto at my BIL's wedding there was a lady with a grey dress and coat set maybe a shade darker than that and she had Navy shoes and Fascinator and bag it looked stunning

Well our Plans have changed this morning , I was up early got my jobs done and had a shower ready to go out for 9 am appointment with Dentist when receptionist rang to say Dentist isn't well and gone back home ,
So have had to re arrange , all the times she said in next week or two doesn't suit either clashes with other appointments or late afternoon and I don't like late appointments ,
so now its the 3rd October

I have to have a large back tooth out its root filled and most of the top filling has broke away , not causing any pain so I can wait ,
Im having it out as im sick of it having to be refilled every few month , she wanted to give me 25th but as we going to Brum on 27th no way was I having that ,

We now just going shopping in stead

Plant how is the infection is it any better ? meant to ask has GGS settled into his new house it will have been strange for him not being around Gran and GGran all the time

Mimi I cant use a manual tin opener either the old bones are taking a bashing now , Oh the joys of getting older

I agree if you like it get it, as things run out, or go out of line. Yesterday I tried on a dress, loved it, and decided it was perfect for DD3's wedding next June. They don't want very formal , but would like everyone to dress up or down as much as suits them. I think my dress will be perfect, and no looking around desperately near the time

As well as my mum's shopping to do it is my medication review this afternoon. I think I will go to Aldi for the bulk of the shopping this morning, then on the way to mums after the doctors this afternoon I will just have to drop into Tesco for a couple of things. She has cancelled going to her friend's today and she cancelled DD3 going to see her on Monday. Mum seems fine when I am there, so no idea what goes on in her head. I have given up trying. She may not be well, but the excuses seem to vary (bad tummy, cold, sore throat)
Straight from mum's to town to meet a friend for a meal and chat. The one who asked me meet her as she has no one to talk to.

My right wrist is weak and I find opening bottles very difficult. I have four different openers. We don't have many cans that are needing a tin opener but I will investigate.

Aqua for me this morning and a friends house this afternoon for a craft demonstration. The decorator isn't coming now until Wed next week so I have managed to put off the furniture mover man until Monday. I have done a lot of emptying the cupboards and wardrobes but it now gives me the weekend. I might sleep next door or I might have the bed put up in my sitting room. DD isn't keen on me doing that but it has to be stored somewhere, I don't want it put in the garage and I will be in Birmingham for two nights. I think the infection is getting better, not so many trips to the loo.

I was thinking today, reading my Facebook page, how many ladies are posting on there who were introduced through GranRus but do not post on here anymore. Some post occasionally which is nice.

Will pop back later as must rush now to have a shower and put my cossie on. I think I will see the lady who had that nasty fall today.

Good morning. Had a tough couple of weeks, trying hard to climb out of this black hole. Lovely sunny days here help a lot.

I went to see the Downton Abbey film yesterday with my neighbour. It was lovely, we really enjoyed and I was pleased to see all the original actors, like seeing old friends again. Dame Maggie was brilliant as usual, raising quite a few laughs at her comments. The cinema was two thirds empty, I was surprised but it was the first day of showing so maybe it will be busier later. There were a few films coming up that we have decided to go and see, Cats and David Copperfield looked good.

We are meeting Ps cousin and her OH for lunch today. They are staying near us for a few days before going on to Devon so it’s a good chance to meet up.

Enfys so sorry life has been difficult lately. Sending big HUGS.
We also went to see Downtown Abbey yesterday. There were less than twenty people there but it was a midday showing! I haven’t heard of anyone who hasn’t enjoyed it yet ,though I think most people who go to see it are probably already fans .

Another lovely day though a bit more breeze than yesterday.

Work for me this morning then probably some gardening. I bought another big bag of bulbs yesterday so I’d like to get them in before the weather changes.

I am having a lazy start, shopping later and then this afternoon to get my replacement hearing aid fitted.

Enfys, it's good to see your name here. We totally understand those black times you have, and you not feeling up to posting. I am full of admiration at how positive you manage to be most of the time. I hope you have a lovely lunch today.
Hooray for fish and chips Nan2! OH had some last night when I was out.
Friends have asked us to go to see the Downton film with them so we will wait to see which dates suits everyone.

I had a good long talk with my friend last night over a meal. She texted me when she got home to say it helped.
GS2 day today, and GD from school. GS will have to come with me as OH will be playing golf.

I am still in bed so better get a move on, before GS arrives

Dog asleep on my feet as usual im actually losing feeling in my left foot he's getting too heavy for that he's over 4 stone in weight

Stripped beds this morning went to iron fresh bedding and the spare bedding wasn't in the cupboard was puzzled where it had gone then I remembered I had put a lot of bedding we were not using but too good to throw out in the loft , B went up and sure enough it was all in with that lot ,
Had to bring it down and put it in the washer , its clean but smell of the loft that cold funny smell on them
Lord knows what else is in there I will have to get up and have a look .

Good morning all. It’s a lovely sunny day here but sadly that’s all due to change from next week, lower temperatures and rain is forecast and on the strength of that I have washed my rain coat in readiness !
Last night we went to the theatre to see Paul Zerdin and it was very funny, he is so cleaver . He did get a few people up on stage and thankfully he didn’t ‘pick’ on us . I wouldn’t mind so much but I know that OH would hate it .


Enfys I have been wondering how you and P are, it’s perfectly understandable that you haven’t posted on here. We are hoping to go and see Downtown soon, what with one thing and another we have been so busy this past week or so.
I did see Stan and Ollie on Amazon Prime the other day, that’s another good film , so touching in places .

After the busy busy day I had yesterday, washing floors, cleaning windows and get getting to grips with the flat, hot hissy thing I’m not planning on doing anything much today.
