Plant, your poor friend, hope she is ok.
Good to hear your infection is getting better.
I'm sure GS and his family will enjoy the goodies you take.

Sunshine, a pity the hedgehog couldn't be saved, but at least everyone tried.

    Off to in laws later.

We were up early this morning, and it was still dark. Gone are the light mornings.

      Good morning everyone.
A dull and rather blustery one where I am. darker too as you say Nan2.

Wow that was a productive day Daisy!
Oh poor lady Plant. I hope she will soon be OK, what a shock for her. I'm glad your infection is clearing up.

This morning OH will do her occasional gardening job a couple of miles away.
This afternoon we will visit my auntie. Since her moving date was postponed by a few weeks I imagine she's a bit fed up, living in a half empty house!

      Happy Friday everyone.

          Back from in laws.

Oma, MIL had to leave her bed. A special mattress was delivered this morning,to help prevent pressure sores.
No idea what Dad thinks i am,but he said are you going to change the mattress over.
No way could i have got the old one downstairs and the new one upstairs on my own.
Told him it would have to wait till hubby came round. Anyway, it didn't take long once hubby arrived.
Trouble with Dad is he is impatient, wants everything doing yesterday.
Hospital is the best place for your neighbour, considering the state she is in.

Gem, what a shame Auntie's moving has been delayed.

Weatherwise, its a day of sunshine and showers.

Oma, that is the best place for that lady right now.
Good grief Nan2, he must think you are Superwoman!!

I have been busy! Some housework including steaming the kitchen floor, then I typed up yesterdays minutes.
I have some more secretary work do to, but that's enough for today!
Lunch now then off to see auntie. She is due to move next Friday now, so fingers crossed she does. I rang this morning to see if she wanted to go out to lunch but no reply. I know she usually goes to Sainsbury's with Dial & Ride on Fridays so I guess that is where she was. OH and I will drop in on her for cuppa after lunch.
After a wet gloomy morning the sun is now out. Windy though.

Very dull and windy here, only been out to the bin so far. I am waiting to hear from GGS before I go there with the food I have cooked for them.
I have heard that my Aqua friend has been cleared, no bleed and nothing broken but I hope she is managing to take things quietly.
I have ironed some things I want to take on holiday and done most of the packing.

I expect your Auntie is now getting anxious to get on with her move, your visit will help fill her day Gemini.

I love the way you go and buy your GS1 his favourite food Oma, he is a lucky young man, I am sure he appreciates it.

Your should have said to FIL if he grabbed one end you would get the mattress upstairs Nanto.

Hello everyone. I'm a bit late today, but I couldn't get online first thing.

Plant - thank goodness your friend is ok, and you are on the mend too. I'm sure your GS and family will be delighted with the goodies - the last thing you feel like when you've just moved house is cooking!

Oma - I hope your neighbour gets back on to her meds now she's in hospital. It is a worry for you, I'm sure. Your GS is very lucky to have such a lovely gran, getting all his favourite goodies.

Gem - you've been busy too. Doesn't it feel good when you get paperwork like that done and dusted! I do hope your aunt's move goes ahead next Friday - she's waited long enough.

Yes, the chutney is made - 21 jars, just waiting for me to write labels for them now - that's my contribution to the chutney factory. Oma - it did smell nice when it was cooking, but since then I've been portioning up green tripe for Eva - that's enough to cancel out the chutney with a vengeance.

Nanto - I like Plant's idea - ask your FIL to grab one end of the new mattress!!

It's mostly cloudy here today and we've had a few spots of rain. Not enough to fetch the washing in, and it has eventually dried. I wonder if it's been raining where Nana is?

I wonder how Qwerty is enjoying sunny Spain. Has anyone heard from her?

Plant I'm glad to hear your friend is OK. I'm sure your family will appreciate the food you made.
I was wondering about Qwerty too Daisy. I have heard nothing.

I had my last visit to auntie at her bungalow. The contracts are signed, exchange and move take place next Friday. New cooker and fridge freezer being delivered next Saturday morning. We will give her a week or so to settle in then go to see her new abode.

Oma - pleased to hear Qwerty's ok. I can imagine it's all go with having builders in. Apaart from anything else the constant dust gets you down. I hope they can escape to the swimming pool to relax when it gets on top of them. Once it's done they'll feel much better.

Gem - I'm sure everyone will heave a sigh of relief when your aunt's safely moved into her new home. I hope it all goes smoothly for her - it can be an anxious and emotional time.

                            Good morning all.
I have just put the cat out and I have to say it’s a little chilly first thing in the mornings now.

We don’t have anything planned for today. OH has informed me that England is playing a football match later today so he will be sat in front of the TV for the duration I suppose.

I could get the hot , flat, hissy thing out and use suppose but there again, perhaps not !

                            Have a good day ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning Nan2, Mimi and late arrivals

Nan2, OH has carpet on our garage floor. We don't keep either car in there though!

Oh no Mimi, football That will be on in our house too then.

A free day for me. I want to go to the theatre at some point to collect tickets for Friday night. DDs 1 and 2, GD and I are going to see Mallory Towers, as we all enjoy or enjoyed the books. I hope I am going to collect the tickets. I can't find them so presuming I haven't yet picked them up after booking them online in May. If they are not there a big search of our house will ensue!

                              Have a good day everyone.

Good morning one and all. It's dry but a bit chilly here as well, and we had rain last night.

I'm getting ready for our visitors arriving this afternoon. I'm not sure what time they'll get here - it depends on the traffic - so I'm making a cottage pie for dinner, and haven't even given thought to a pudding yet!

Nanto - it would take my OH a week-end to clear floor space in our garage to paint it. I don't think he knows about the football, though!!

Gem - I hope your theatre tickets are there waiting for you. Is the play based on the Enid Blyton novels? I loved them.

                                Have a good Saturday, ladies.
