      Hi everyone
We had a lovely if tiring day! A bit of queuing to get in as it is very popular. GD and I both had the same thought, that it was good practice for Florida

OH eventually got the washing machine situation sorted out, so we should, have a new one, which fits the space, before too long. Our friend in the same village is happy for us to borrow her machine in the meantime.

I will catch up with the other threads tomorrow.
      Did you play bowls Plant?

Rested up today after a lovely weekend. All GC & mummies round Saturday for GD's belated birthday tea & boys & mummy sleepover. Feeling happily tired out. Worth it to see happy children. Childrens' laughter's just the best.

Plant I'm about to start my 14th square. Glad your sore gum is feeling better. The weather is certainly keeping us all on our toes.

The river Ouse here has reached it's peak yesterday so will now be going down.
That sounds a lovely weekend with the GC Nana.
Dinner sounds nice Nan2. We will be having sausages on Friday when the GC are here.

GS1 will be here tomorrow, today is a free day. I need to do some birthday shopping, nothing else planned really.

                  Good moaning each.
Glad to read we all survived Storm Dennis (as far as we know). It’s a beautiful morning here, but it looks as if it’s a chilly one. We have had a busy weekend entertaining the troupes. (DD2’s Birthday)
I am sitting here waiting for my nails to dry. I am going to a friend’s birthday lunch. She was 70 yesterday and there was a reference to Jenny Joseph’s poem β€˜When I am an old woman’ in the invitation. It was the bit about wearing purple so, unbeknown to her we are all wearing something purple. I have a tasteless chunky purple necklace and I have found some even more tasteless sparkly purple nail varnish. It will be fun. 😁
OH has the two eldest GCs here this afternoon as DD1 has a hospital appointment re. her face (from when she was kicked by a horse). She is suffering a lot of nerve pain. I hope they can help, I hate seeing her in pain, she looks worn out.
Onward and upward. Have a good day ladies.

Oma, my knee wasn't too bad yesterday, apart from when climbing stairs, which there are several of at Eureka and at Halifax station. I had to sit down couple of times (you stand all day at Eureka really) It was more my back that needed the seat though!
                    Enjoy the Purple Lunch Grauntie
Poor DD, I do hope they can help her.

Good morning, ladies. It's a bit chilly, but lovely not to have pouring rain.

DGs had a sleepover last night - nothing special planned with them for today, we'll just go with the flow. They've just had breakfast - waffles, ice cream, bananas, blueberries and honey! They'd never had waffles and ice cream together before and thought it was wonderful!

Grauntie - enjoy your purple lunch. You could also wear a red hat with your purple nails and crown jewels. I do hope your DD can get some help for that nerve pain. It must be dragging her down all the time.

Nana - your week-end sounds lovely as well. I'm loving having the girls here at the moment.

Nanto and Gem - it's sausages for lunch here as well today. Gluten-free chipolatas in our case. Probably with chips and veggies - the girls' choice.

Oma - I hope MIL is ok. Enjoy your shopping.

Nana and Plant - it sounds as though the knitting is going well.

Gem - it must be such a relief that the Ouse has reached its peak. Let's hope the rain holds off a bit to let the ground dry out a bit. Enjoy your free day. How long will you have to wait for your new washing machine?

I'll try and pop in later - getting a quiet 5 minutes isn't easy. At least the two dogs have exhausted each other and both of them are asleep at the moment.

Good morning all. Bright and sunny here but chilly...no rain though which makes a change.

we have to do some shopping this morning then DH wants to go out to lunch. Fine by me..no cooking, He has a discount voucher for a local eatery, it came from them for his birthday as he’d signed up on their mailing list. So a little treat for us.

I hope all the knees, teeth etc are all on the mend. My knee felt sore last night, ut I took some painkillers and it seems much better this morning.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Gemini, yesterday sounded fun, hope your back has recovered. Pleased to hear the river Ouse is likely to be going down.

Icecream for breakfast Daisy, they will not want to go home.

That birthday gathering sounds fun Grauntie, definitely a red hat day. Your friends sound fun. My GD still has pain in her hip area after being kicked by a horse years ago, I do hope your DD can get some relief from the pain.

Nanto, love your daily menu, is it your vegetarian day today.

I am very worried about my sister, she is 91, has Crohns Disease, Bronchil Asthma and many other problems. My sister is a very tough lady and has all her faculties, up with all the news, loves sport etc etc. I can't understand why I can't contact her, thought her phone might be damaged in the storm so tried her GD and her Dil. Left messages and a text, tried again on my mobile this time, still no reply. Her only son lives in Hong Kong, I don't have any way of contacting him. My sister never goes anywhere except Drs. and hospital as she has difficulty walking and has a very bad shaky hands.

Plant is there any other way you can think of to contact your sister? Do you know any of her neighbours?
I think I would try to phone her DIL and GD now, as some people are not so good at responding to texts . I do think if anything was wrong someone would have contacted you though. Try not to worry and I hope your mind can be put at rest soon xx
My back is fine today thank you. Standing and slow walking is worse for it, but a rest soon sorts it out.

                            Enjoy your lunch out Enfys!

Update on my sister: Just managed to get through to my sister's Dil, my sister is in hospital, was taken in last Wed with Pneumonia, that is nearly a week ago and nobody had phoned me or answered my text and their mobile. I tried her Dil's mobile again and she answered it, she was visiting my sister. I am a bit cross that nobody phoned me to let me know. My sister was hoping to be home soon but they still want to carry out some tests.

Oh Plant, that is not on, someone should have told you
I hope your dear sister is feeling better and is home soon.

My reflexologist's baby, aged just over a year old was in hospital with pneumonia last week, but thankfully is now home.
