    Good morning ladies

What cute kitties Nan2 Rather like our 3 all vying for attention!
I hope you get a good day's gardening Daisy.
Oma, I hope that cough soon goes, it's not what you want when you come back from a lovely holiday. I wonder if the alarm will go off when you go back into Next!

It's a gorgeous morning here, with not a cloud in the sky.

DD collected GS from me last night. She had worked from home due to feeling sick with the antibiotics. She says it is manageable however and although her lower arm still looked puffy she says it is several hundred percent better! Whatever bit her left puncture marks, It was when she was working on the allotment. The course runs until Sunday Daisy, so it must be a 7 day one.
On Monday GS1 got both the headteachers award for writing (a story about his family) and his 5 metre swimming badge. To mark both of these I gave him a special dessert. Ice cream with sliced Cadbury's chocolate mini roll, strawberries and mini marshmallows on top. He was delighted
Today is Cast Off day for OH! Thanks for the good wishes Daisy and Oma.
I must say as it is her left arm she has done so many tasks over the last 6 weeks which I would never have thought she could. To get back to all her usual activities and be free of the annoying cast will make her very happy however!
That appointment is mid afternoon. This morning I must go into my office, aka the dining table, to write up Monday's minutes.

Have a lovely day everyone. I wonder when Grauntie will be back from her hols?

Good luck to S for the cast off day. Well done GS1 for those awards, was he sick after that special pudding? Hope your DD's arm heals quickly Gemini, sounds nasty.

Good luck with the trouser alarm Oma, was a good job you still had the receipt.

Nothing planned here, it looks like another lovely day. Talk about a healthy gut yesterday was very good except it took place in a glass building with very little shade, they put in a couple of fans but they did very little to cool the building down. There were about 40 mainly ladies there and they said that more people applied than they had room for. The magic word is Kifir
apparently. If anyone is interested the speaker's name is Lucy Williamson and her website is lwnutrition.co.uk. Worth having a look at.

Gem, hope all is well for OH and hope DD feels better soon.
Had a few spots of rain about 6ish but looks like another nice day now.

Oma,it pays to hang onto receipts for a while.

They used to make kifir on The Archers didn't they Plant? It wasn't too popular in Ambridge however!
GS wasn't sick no, and would happily have had seconds if I had allowed it!

Getting out is a good plan Qwerty, for both of you. I hope you both enjoy the trip out. I can't get the link, but that may be because I'm looking in on my phone?

                Morning ladies.

Been lying low for a couple of days. Life hit me again.

A sunny day however so I’ve just been clearing next door’s ivy off my wooden fence posts.

We have to go to Memory clinic later so an early lunch today.

I hope poorly people soon feel better and everyone has a good day.

I cant get link either Qwerty , enjoy your day xxx

Well I took trousers back , as I walked through the doors all hell let loose , the alarms went ballistic

Told the girl on the desk what had happened , she said did you get them from Next at Dalton park retail ? , I said yes as it happened I did ,
She said they had had several people in over the last few weeks with the same problem ,
That shop is obviously not doing its job and the security barriers are not working.

They must be losing a lot of stock if that's the case ,
She apologised and asked if I wanted my money back , we didn't we just wanted the tag off

Well done your GS Gem he deserved a lovely treat , I bet he works twice as hard to get another one

                  Clover hope your ok xxx

Clover, I know how much you dislike the Memory Clinic (as I would too) so hopefully you will feel better once that is over and done with for a while. Things hanging over us really affect our general mood and wellbeing.
Thanks Nan2, I hope Qwerty and OH are enjoying the locks.

Clover, not a nice day for you, I can understand how you do not like going to the memory clinic. Do you have any respite care for G?

I spent some time typing up the minutes this morning. All done, just checking and tweaking to do. I was stiff from sitting so long!
I then potted up some geraniums which we bought the other day.
Changed and ready to go to the hospital now!

Things rarely go simply do they???
What should have been a quick visit to the hospital for OH's cast removed turned into a longer stay.
We had a fair wait to be seen, then the cast was removed. We had to then wait to be seen by the man who has seen OH each time. OH said that her wrist really ached, which is probably not unusual after 6 weeks being held in one position. Then she said she felt really faint. I wanted her to lie on the chairs in the small waiting area which we were in but she didn't want to. I went to get someone and then lots of people jumped into action. Laying her on the chairs (as I had suggested!) raising her legs, bringing water. She got a little colour back and felt better so they sat her up. Still not right though, so they walked her to a nearby cubicle. To cut a long story short her BP was very low. She rested on the bed with her legs up for some time. They took her BP again later and it was normal, a relief. They brought her tea and biscuits, and for me too which I thought was very good on the NHS, I didn't expect them to cater for me too. The nice guy who we see came to us in the cubicle rather than us go to him! He gave OH a splint and some exercises and reassured her that all feels good with her forearm. She will get some physio later.
Once we had the tea and OH's obs were good and she reassured them she felt good to go home she was allowed to leave. Everyone was so kind, so quick and helpful. We felt very well cared for.
One of the nurses, who also works in the plaster room sometimes, told OH that this is far from uncommon. Patients often feel faint or even actually faint after a cast is removed.
We are home now and OH is fine. I feel quite sick. The cats and people around me seem determined to stress me to the max!!!!!!

Gem, is OH feeling better now and how about you ? What we going to do with the pair of you !

Oma , how are you , feeling better I hope.

Clover I hope you are feeling much better, more able to cope with the things that life throws at you.

Qwerty did you enjoy your day out, how was OH ?

As you may recall I brought OH a ‘screw ‘ tidy from Amazon and you would have thought that he had won the jackpot on the lottery, he was so excited but that doesn’t stop there. Today his new wheel for his wheelbarrow arrived today. Much more excitement like this and he will surely go off bang ! Men !

                                Have a good evening ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
