Good morning, everyone - it looks as though I'm the early bird. but I'm flapping about getting ready togo over to DS2's, so I'll be back later.

Plant - if you know the wood turner's name I'll see if I can find him online - he sounds very interesting.

Gem - hope your meeting goes well.

Nanto - I do hope MIL is better and you haven't had to go dashing over there in a hurry. x

Daisy I looked at the programme of exhibitors to find his name but it wasn't there, I will try and find out. from the organisers. I am pleased you like my purchase, I love it.

Oma so sorry you both have colds. the cruise sounds lovely. I saw on the shopping channel some lovely shrugs, I thought about you. there was a lovely purple one.

Although the forecast doesn't give us much hope for good weather, we have had, okay not scorchers, but very pleasant days and today looks to be good. DD and Sil got back from Barcelona last evening and said how much warmer it was here, they were not lucky with the weather.

Love cottage pie Nanto, don't cook it just for myself. Hope your mil is feeling better.

Morning all. the sun is out and I have got two loads of washing on the line so that's a plus for me ! I am beginning to think this feeling of meloncollie will never leave me and its all for no apparent reason . We are both in fairly good health, DC and GC are doing well, even two DS's are on better terms now, I think I need to pull myself together as there are so many with troubles 100% worse than mine.

Nan2 sorry to her that MIL isn't feeling well. How is she today

Welcome home Oma. albeit a little late. Sorry to see you and B aren't feeling well.

The garden is coming on a treat. The salad leaves are now ready to eat, there are first set of flowers on one of the tomato plants . The runner beans are looking good as is the potato plants. We have flowers on the strawberry plants .
OH brought a water feature from Amazon and has set it up on the patio . Its a solar powered jug and bowl one and surprise, surprise it has lights on it so that it lights up at night, honestly, OH and his lights in the garden !

Hope all our poorly ladies and families are feeling better today

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

              Good morning (just!) everyone.

Do try to take it easy Oma, and get better soon.
I hope your in laws enjoy the cottage pie Nan2. I should take more meals to my mum she eats too many ready meals!
I have missed you Mimi, I hope your low feeling does leave you soon. Your garden sounds in good form!

I had to be at the meeting room by 9 to set up for the 9.15 meeting. I am usually awake at 7, often before. Of course today I awoke at 8!! Busy meeting and rather rushed as we only had the room for 45 minutes. We overran slightly and the breastfeeding mums and babies were clamouring to be in for their turn!
OH and I are going to see my mum this afternoon, and collecting a new phone she has ordered from Argos, and going to B&Q for hanging basket liners.
It's a nice sunny day, and OH has more tomato plants out for sale

Oh dear, just tried to read this morning's posts, but Cooper has other ideas - he's a bit too big to be a lap dog, but he doesn't know this. Back later if I'm spared!

Nan2, you are a very good DIL.
Qwerty, although manic I always feel it is lovely to be included in our GC's birthday celebrations
                      Cooper, stop hogging Daisy!

3 more tomato plants had been sold when we got home. 11 in total now.
Mum was reasonably OK. She only said "90 is too old, and no point being here when you want to 'go' " once.
We got the phone, hanging basket liner and a couple of other things. I needed the loo, and as McDonalds is near Argos and B&Q we went there for a milkshake each and me to use the loo. We both love those milkshakes, so the loo was a good excuse.

It has been very hot today, I didn't go to bowls, bit of an upset tummy. I sorted the pots in the courtyard and watered everything in sight. I also put shiny streamers in the two small cherry trees to keep the birds off. I would like to taste just one this year.

Hi Mimi, nice to hear from you, I do hope you can shake off your sad mood soon, as you say everything is good atm. Have you been getting out enough?

Gem, dad says the same as your mum.
                            Plant,hope the upset stomach settles.
Off to have a look at Omas photos.

Gem - you've certainly had a busy day, but at least mum was in a relatively good mood. Well done to your OH on selling her extra tomato plants. Mine are very slow this year - but I should have enough to fill the two troughs.

Qwerty - I'm glad you've got a break this week before the onslaught of half term next week. I think OH and I are being buttered up for a sleepover at some time next week!

Mimi - I'm sorry you're feeling so sad. Have you tried Bach Flower Remedies (the individual ones, rather than Rescue Remedy). I know some people swear by them, and even if they are a placebo effect it might help you feel better. A good herbalist or homeopathic doctor could advise you. In the meantime, sending hugs. xx

Oma - I'm so sorry you're still feeling poorly. Take it easy and rest. Look forward to seeing the rest of your holiday photos.

Plant - I hope you're feeling better too. I wonder if it was something you ate when you were out with your SIL's mum?

Nanto - pleased to hear mum is feeling a bit better. I bet she enjoyed those sandwiches.

I came back from DS2's tonight with tomorrow's dinner - he'd prepared butterflied chicken breasts with a garlic, cheese and courgette topping. All I have to do is stick it in the oven tomorrow!

Have a good day one and all.
