Crikey, Gem - poor OH. I was quietly worrying on her behalf in case they said her wrist wasn't quite healed and she needed another cast for a couple of weeks (that happened to a friend with a broken ankle, and also, I think Clover had a similar problem - my apologies if I'm wrong, Clover), but it never occurred to me that people might faint when a cast is removed. Thank goodness her BP went back to normal. It sounds as though you could do with some TLC though!

Well done to your GS1 on his dual awards. I bet he loved his special tea time treat.

Clover - I'm so sorry you're feeling low. I hope the memory clinic wasn't too horrendous - at least it's over and done with for a while. Sending you hugs.

Plant - kefir seems to be the elixir of life on the Raw-feeding dog forums and FB pages. So it's not just for humans! Yeo Valley have recently introduced a version which is a little milder in taste than most. I haven't tried it yet!

Oma - glad to hear you got a bit more sleep last night. I can just imagine the kerfufle in Next with the alarms going off! Usually it's when people are trying to get out without paying, not taking something back that they've already paid for! At least B can wear them in comfort now.

Mimi - sometimes it doesn't take much to keep 'em happy - somewhere for their nuts and bolts and a new wheel - great!

I spend all day in the garden today, although not much to show for it. I weeded the border by the little picket fence at the front. That took ages! The ground was rock hard, so I spent about half an hour watering the patch, then sprinkled fish, blood and bone on the whole bed and raked it in and then got OH to help me mulch it with a huge back of multi-purpose compost. I thought 3 big bags would do the whole front garden, but one bag didn't quite do the first of the three borders. Then a neighbour dropped round and we sat in the garden with a cuppa, then I mowed the lawn. The grass is growing so quickly at the moment. It's like a jungle.

Better late than never I’ve had a cheeky nap at tea time all that walking at my age 😉
Gem I bet S wondered what was happening to her, there is nothing worse than that feeling of passing out, I had an op for my bladder many years ago and I had a lot of packing involved in the wound, when they came to take it out I could have passed out it was an awful sensation, perhaps she felt the same , hope she’s feeling better now.
Clover sending my love for what must be a harrowing time hope your able to smile in a little while
OH seemed a bit better , he won’t let me drive in places I don’t know but he is very tense when driving, it’s a struggle sometimes for me, good job the sun is shining 😕
Ive booked myself in for a blow wave tomorrow I need a treat, following that a dental appointment, think I may need a filling tOohh, so two complete ends of the spectrum tomorrow the good , the bad and something ugly is bound to turn up 😟

Hope it isn't too painful at the dentist.
Good to hear OH seemed a bit better.

Sun is shining again, but i think weather is due to change after today.

                Good morning ladies

You were busy yesterday Daisy! I have to do my mum's front garden borders soon. Weed them and plant summer bedding. Her soil is clayey (as is ours) and it is really hard work especially in a dry spell.
Qwerty I hope it goes painlessly at the dentist (on mouth and pocket) and the hairdo makes you feel good.
Cloudy here Nan2, but it feels warm.
Thanks for the message Oma I hope your cough beetles off soon!

OH is feeling fine. Her wrist is weak, inflexible and a bit uncomfortable, but it is such early days it is to be expected. The only experience of broken bones I have is DD3 breaking her wrist aged 15. Everything takes longer to heal and recover as we get older, doesn't it?
Today I will do my mums shopping and take it to her. She has a Dr's appointment this afternoon. It is about her ear. Almost certainly they will say it's Eustachian tube dysfunction and will clear in time, as was the case last year. I will try to persuade her to go somewhere for coffee on the way home.

                Have a good one everyone.

Thanks for asking Oma, my stomach is still not right, keeping off the fruit, which I usually eat loads. Hope the exercise at Aqua this morning helps to put it right. GGS was his usual gorgeous self yesterday, he was fascinated by the bees, especially the bumble on the cotoneaster.

Qwerty enjoy your pampering. Hope the dentist isn't too expensive.

Pleased to hear you had a good nights sleep, well 6am is good for you.

I hope S's arm is less sore today Gemini. It is a dreadful feeling to feel faint

Must rush now to get ready for Aqua, I will look in later.

A quick good morning from me. I need to get a move on because I've overslept.

It's a busy day so we're going to vote as soon as we're showered etc, then I've promised to go with my neighbour to go to our other neighbour's grave. My neighbour G was on holiday when the funeral was held last week, and she doesn't want to go on her own. Then OH has a wood turning mate coming round, and then the man is coming to install my birthday present!

Plant, have you tried those Yakult probiotic drinks? If my tummy is playing up I take a couple of those a day for a few days and it seems to help.
I wonder what your birthday present is Daisy?!

We have both been potting up planters and hanging baskets this morning Oma, I just need a couple more to finish off the pots.

My mum doesn't feel she needs to go to the Dr, so I have cancelled the appointment. I hate doing this on the day of the appointment but hopefully someone will take that space.
It gives me a little more free time anyway. I will go to do her shopping and get petrol in a while.

                              Afternoon everyone.

Thank you for all your kind words.I will write about our visit to the Memory clinic in YEO.

Plant I hope your tummy soon settles. Gem’s suggestion of Yakut is a good one. I might also recommend plain, organic yoghurt.

Gem planting up bedding plants will help to exercise and strengthen OH’s wrist. I hope your Mum doesn’t change her mind about going to the doctor now you’ve cancelled the appointment!

Qwerty I hope your appointments good and bad go well.Hopefully OH will feel better soon.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

Plant - I'm sorry your tummy still isn't back to normal. The kefir mentioned in the talk is supposed to be brilliant - all the supermarkets do it - and helps to generate and support the 'good' bacteria. It's worth a try! I used to have Yakault if I was on antibiotics for anything, but I'll give kefir a go next time.

Gem and Oma - your gardens are going to look really colourful with all your pots and baskets. Oma - I've grown a few lupins from seed - it will be interesting to see what colours they are - they're only tiny at the moment. Are you and B ok now?

Gem - I'm sure the surgery were glad to have a cancellation! I think it's the no-shows that frustrate them so much. I hope your mum's ear is ok, though. I hope S is taking it easy with her wrist.

Qwerty - you deserve a bit of pampering after all that walking yesterday. I do hope the dentist was pain-free in every respect. I hope J is getting out in the sunshine and pottering round, keeping busy.

Gem - my birthday present is a tap! The outside tap we have is at the side of the house, but almost at the front. This was clearly put in by a man who cleaned his car, because it's really handy for that. But for watering the back garden it's useless, and it drives me mad when I can't get even a long hose pipe down to the bottom of the garden - and it's not a big garden, about 30ft long. So when OH asked me what I'd like I asked for a tap at the back of the house! The plumber is working on it right now, but to get at the connection we had to pull out the dishwasher - and it's leaking. The seal has gone round the outside at the back of it. It's nearly 10 years old, so I suppose it's done quite well, but it's not worth repairing. I see a new dishwasher on the horizon.

Clover - I got interrupted typing my post, so I didn't see yours. Sorry - I wasn't ignoring you. I hope you're ok. xx
