I have become a lazy ironer, most of my washing just gets smoothed and folded these days. We have sunshine but I suspect it is cold. Not sure what I will finish up doing today. For some reason I have a very sore bloodshot eye, they have been bothering me for some time. I think I will have a look and see if there is an appt. at the doctors.

I am sure Eva will enjoy her run in the paddock Daisy.

Hope it warms up so you can sit outside for your lunch Gemini.

I did Daisy about 2 weeks ago and they sold me some Brolene eye drops which I have been using but they are definitely worse now. I am going to go online and get a doctors appt.

Had a good day shopping in Wakefield.
But,every time we passed a clothes shop,hubby would say are going in to look for something for wedding.
He knows my worst nightmare would be going in clothes shops.
I kept saying i am going to look online. Anyway, iv'e got 11 months to find something.

We had a nice afternoon chatting with our friends after lunch. Kitty had a bit of an episode before they arrived but thankfully it had all calmed down again before they got here and she had been fine since.

Nanto - I think you have to be in the mood for clothes shopping - especially for a special occasion like a wedding - whether it's in the shops or online.

Plant - if your eyes have got worse then I hope you can get an early doctor's appointment. x

Gem - It's nice to sit and chat after a meal, isn't it. I'm glad kitty got over her upset and has settled down again.


I've had a busy day - it was good drying weather so I washed everything that didn't run away from me and got it all dried in the sun and a brisk breeze. We took Eva for a good run in the paddock and she's slept pretty much all day. Then this afternoon (I hope you're all sitting down to read this next bit) I waved the hot hissy thing about for over TWO hours! Shocking, isn't it! I really needed to go and lie down in a darkened room after that, but by then it was time to start getting dinner ready. I hope I sleep well tonight - being so virtuous is unusual for me and a bit of a shock to the system.

Good morning all. So far it looks as if it is going to be a dry day albeit cold.

Yesterday my neighbour came around with a lovely gift for me for feeding her two cats while she was away in Gozo , it’s a beautiful brightly coloured pot.
We also swapped tomato plants , she gave me two plumb tomato plants and I gave her two money maker tomato plants.

Nan2 I haven’t been to a car boot sale for many years.

Plant I’m with you with the ironing malarkey. How is your eye , did you manage to get an appointment. Whenever I book on line it’s almost always for an appointment in 6 weeks or more . Hope you haven’t got to wait that long.


Nan2 I used to enjoy clothes shopping but I cannot seem to find anything I like lately. I have just signed up to an online M and S style advisor to see if that will point me into the right direction . I was asked several questions and the idea is an actual person finds clothes to suit my likes, age , body shape ( short and dumpy 😢) etc; I await their suggestions with bated breath!

Good Sunday morning, everyone. It's bright and sunny here, too, but there was a frost overnight and it's still very chilly.

Gem, it would do you both good to go out for a meal today. It's nice to have a bit of time to yourselves and just chat - and it saves you cooking today!

Mimi - it sounds as though your tomato plants are doing well. Mine have only just started to germinate and I need to sow more. I'll be interested to hear how it goes with the M&S style advisor. I find it hard to get clothes I like and actually fit!

Nanto - shhhhhh - don't mention car boot sales - it might give my OH ideas!!!

As the sun's shining I'm going to carry on with washing anything and everything. We've got 3 small chairs with loose covers which are meant to be off-white, but not as 'off' as they are after the winter of muddy paws and muddier children. OH has to go and visit someone in hospital later, and it's quite a journey, especially on a Sunday now the holiday makers have arrived, but he has promised to do the supermarket shop on the way back, bless him.

Just finished my Ironing there wasn't much , while I was doing that B got the good cases down from the loft and gave them a wash down , hate the smell of the loft on them , now they are under the bed ready for when we need them

Good morning all. Lovely morning here, at least the sun is shining.

The man man finished the decking yesterday, now it looks lovely, so pleased we had it done. DH really didn’t like having someone else in to do it but they got on well, same age group so,had lots in common, we would certainly have him in again if anything needs doing.

DS is FaceTiming in a minute, then we are having a relaxing day. Have a good day everyone.

My eyes are a little better, thank you, I have stepped up the Brolene drops. I have an appt. for Tues which I will cancel if they are better. I have now got a broken front tooth with a nasty sharp bit scratching my lip, I hope to get a dentist appt. tomorrow. If it has to come out that means another job for the hospital, I hope it can be crowned. Am I fed up, YES.
