Plant - poor you. One thing is bad enough, but two together isn't any fun at all. I do hope the tooth can be saved. Can you put something like Vaseline on your lip to give it a bit of protection until you see the dentist. Don't these things always happen at the week-end!

Oma - fingers crossed you will be in and out with no problems, apart from being a chunk of money poorer.

Enfys - - I'm so glad you're pleased with your decking and that the chap did a good job. My OH is the same - he doesn't like getting anyone in to do anything, which is why our neioghbour's trees are hanging over into our garden and there are two fence panels waiting to be replaced.

I don't suppose you're sitting out on the deck today, unfortunately. It's biting cold and now the sun has disappeared. But it's supposed to be getting warmer during the coming week, so fingers crossed for a bit of Mediterranean warmth for you to enjoy.

We've spent the last few days trying to decide what to do with the GDs tomorrow and Tuesday - something nice, plus a sleepover. I've just had a phone call from their dad saying Cooper has hurt himself, did I think he'd be ok to play with Eva or not. Well, definitely not! Poor dog has bashed his tail and it's very painful and just hanging down. So I look like spending Monday and Tuesday at their house. Any ideas on some activities we can do at home that they'd enjoy (ages 81/2 and 5)? All ideas welcome.

          Afternoon all.

Plant that’s so unlucky about your tooth.I hope it can be fixed. I hope your eyes continue improving and you don’t need your appointment.

The family have left and it’s back to the old routine. SIL took some stuff to the tip for me this morning. DD was vexed we hadn’t thought about it before as I have loads of things to go but they had to leave to get back as GD has a rehearsal this afternoon. Their dog is so cute as when they were packing the car she climbed into her travel case and refused to get out, frightened she was going to be left behind.

I’m feeling tired and a bit low as I won’t see them again until the end of June. It’s so quiet without them.I’ve got lots of clearing up to do and lots of appointments etc. to sort out that I was putting on the back burner until after the family’s visit.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Clover - sending hugs. I can imagine you feel you've got a long time to wait before you see them again, and a lot of not very nice jobs to do. I wish I could help! Would it be useful to make a list of them, if you haven't already, so you can have the satisfaction of crossing them off as you do them.

Don't start the clearing up today. Have a rest and an early night - you must be shattered. xxx

It must seem quiet now the family have gone, try not to get too down and look forward to the next time you will be with them. Sending hugs.

Sending you Hugs Clover. It will seem quiet and lonely without your family at first. I agree with Daisy that making a list and crossing things off is helpful, as is rewarding yourself with something nice after doing a job you don't look forward to.
Next time your family come, let them know about any tip runs or other jobs they can do. I'm sure they are happy to if they know.

                Oh poor doggy Daisy.
Maybe the GC would enjoy some Easter based crafts? Painting hard boiled eggs for example? Board games and Treasure Hunts , devised by GD, are something our older ones enjoy.
I have 3 here on Tuesday ( 9 and a half, six and a half, and 3) so have similar dilemma

Haven't been on for a wee while, but have been lurking.

Firstly, hope that all poorly people, pets and partners are on the mend.

Been out for lunch today for DH's birthday which was in March, but as I was otherwise engaged, we couldn't do much! Anyway, the lunch was worth the wait and I don't think I'll need anything to eat until tomorrow!

Back much improved, but having teeth problems now! Have had toothache for a long time, but it suddenly got worse and I got an emergency appointment where he gave me a temporary filling but said it was 50/50 as to whether it would work There's a large crack in the tooth. Well bits of the filling are falling off and it's still sore, so I think I'll have to have another visit which will probably mean an extraction! Seems that there is a wisdom tooth there as well! Did you know you can get wisdom teeth in your 80s and 90s?

Plant I hope you get relief from your teeth problems soon too.

Doggo coming for a few days at the end of the week while the rest of the family are in York. They'll stay over when they come to pick him up. Hopefully the weather will warm up and he'll be keen to go out walking.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday ladies!

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Plant and WeeGranny, sorry to hear you are both having dental problems.

Hubby came home from the car boot, laden with tools he needed.
You'd think at 70 years old,he would have all the tools he could want.

Clover, hope you perk up. It won't be long till June.

I hope WG and Plant are soon out of dental pain!

We had a nice meal. I didn't really feel like going out but was glad we did, we felt better for it,

Busy day tomorrow, so off to bed for me.
                      Goodnight all

Wee Granny, it sounds as though you're making a brilliant recover from your back op. I do hope you can hang on to that tooth, but if it's going to keep causing problems it's probably better to say goodbye to it. I was rather amused when my OH recently had an extraction that the dentist gave him the tooth in a toogh fairy envelope!

We've got a doggy guest too from Tuesday for about a week - it's that time of year I think.

Good morning Nan2, Oma and everyone else.
Warming up, that's good news Nan2
I hope all OK at the dentist Oma.

DD3 is back in Canada after their little sunshine holiday. I presume DD2 and family are back from St Albans.
This afternoon I am going to my client that I had to cancel last week. I need to go to my mum's too. OH and I plan to drop in on my auntie this morning. Her son and DIL are in a holiday cottage for a couple of weeks, so she could probably do with a visitor.
This evening we are going to see friends of OH and take Easter eggs for their 2 children.

Have a good day and week everyone.

Morning ladies, lovely and sunny again, haven't poked my nose out yet, hope the chilly wind has gone. Just made an appt. with the dentist for 12.40, I hope she can work a miracle with my tooth, at least I am not in pain. Nothing else planned except changing the bed, that is always a bit of a fight for me these days. GGS was here yesterday, very sweet and entertaining as usual.
I am sure your DD enjoyed a bit of warm sunshine Gemini, before they come home.

Is Qwerty keeping in touch, I miss her posts.
