Good morning all ( Just noticed the time so its only just morning)

WeeGranny hello from one potato "chitter" to another !

Its a rainy day here so far, looking forward to the on coming days as the weather is supposed to get nicer, OH has already decided we could clear everything off the patio and pressure wash it, its non stop excitement here I can tell you.

Not a lot planned today, will pop out for some fresh air later if the weather clears up
    Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

      Hello all

I hope you all had a happy weekend.

My word Daisy, what a day you had,and I thought Sunday was a day of rest.

I’m feeling very righteous as as I have just cleared my ironing pile.

It’s sunny here at the moment so we’ll go for a walk asap after lunch before it changes it’s mind.

Miraculously my I- pad seems to have sorted itself out. Yesterday I just realised I was typing normally. DS couldn’t understand what had happened as he couldn’t sort it out and thought it might have been a virus. Anyway fingers crossed it behaves now,

Talking of DS reminds me we had a thrilling time yesterday taking the u- bend off under the sink. The water was draining slower and slower. I had tried the plunger, soda and vinegar and even resorted to chemicals but no luck so the u-bend had to be investigated. I won’t go into details as I’m sure you can imagine the gunk. I took it outside and cleaned it all out. DS fixed it back on and hey presto, free draining water and no leaks eitherAnother job OH would have done in happier times.

Gem I hope your Mum is calmer today.

      Enjoy your afternoon ladies

£289 is a bit rich for a sparkly top Oma. I bought one from JL just before Christmas, well Oct really to wear at my 80th and wore it again over christmas. Thyroid problems can cause hair loss Oma, hope the doctor can help, my hair is very thin now.

Well done Clover and DS for clearing the u-bend, hope you managed to get a walk. cold and wet here.

Got the dusting done with the help of the cat! Not a very good bowls game from me this week.

I will keep an eye out for sparkly tops Oma. Have you looked at JD Williams? I can't see any sparkly top,s but there are some nice lacy ones.
Good to hear your ipad sorted itself out Clover!

Mum was fine when I got there. A bit frosty at first, but thawed out. We chatted politely for an hour or so then I left.

I don't know if this is any good Oma. Its navy not black and maybe not the type of thing you are looking for?

Thanks Gem . Yes I buy from JD Williams but so far they haven't much in . That one is nice in the navy not quite what I'm looking for but I think it would look nice with Black trousers wouldn't it 😀

                    Good evening each!
It’s been a busy few days here, so catching up as best I can.
Wee Granny, I am a coward.
Like you, I had both Throat spray and anaesthetic. All I can remember is letting rip with two huge belches! I have medication too, and now I can take it again all is fine. (I had to stop 2 weeks prior to endoscopy).
All to lunch here yesterday in honour of DD2s birthday. It was warm enough for the GCs to play outside for a while which was great. All went very well until the hostess trolley door ‘came off in my hand’😳😆 I now have to find another. Plenty on selling sites but none hereabouts. I’m not going to buy a new one as they are cheaper by far 2nd hand and do the same job.
It seems that ironing has been done by many, and chitting is taking place here and there!
Clover, glad to hear you are looking at one screen again.
I too read Monty Don’s article and found it helpful. All I need is a couple of hours to string together and I’ll have a prune and hope for the best.
GS1 coming tomorrow, he has discovered a love of metalwork and I have some copper wire and bits for him to create a stunning piece of jewellery for his Mum. It’s going to be a fun morning.

Hello everyone. Just popping in before I grab an early night! Did any one else notice it's half-term!

WeeGranny good luck with your potato growing, with love from a fellow chitter! I hope your car has been fixed now, and you haven't had to remortgage the house.

Poor doggo - on holiday and having his beauty sleep ruined by the seagulls. We've got them here at the moment (when the weather's better they go back out to sea) and this morning they were really noisy circling round and round. Of course you're not an old woman, and soon you'll be feeling like the spring chicken you are.

Plant - no sun for us either toady, and lots of heavy rain, plus a wonderful rainbow eventually and a stunning sunset. But within an hour of sunset the mist had come down.

It was freezing cold in the house when I went to feed the cats this morning. Then our neighbour rang from Switzerland to say his phone app was showing the boiler had gone out. I couldn't get it restarted but OH did - but by then the cats had had extra food again. They are all quite old and I think they needed the extra food to keep them warm.

I love the sound of Nanto's cheesy mash. Just what you need on a cold miserable day like today.

Gem - GD did really well. Thank goodness you mum was ok today. xx

Mimi - we should have cleared our patio as well - the rain was heavy enough to do the cleaning for us today!

Oma - how is it you can never find something simple like a black sparkly top when you want one. Have you tried Kaleidoscope?

Grauntie - what a busy (but lovely) day you had, apart from the door coming off your trolley. Still, that's better that you coming off your trolley. Did GS1 make you a fabulous diamond necklace?

Looks like a lovely morning, although it was raining during the night.

                              good morning all.

I think it is half term everywhere but here Daisy!
I'm not sure if it rained here Nan2, I hope you got back to sleep.
Have a lovely seaside day Nana.
The jewellery making sounds fun Grauntie!

The sun is shining and OH is heading for the golf course.
I have a couple of birthday presents to buy and may call in on auntie while I am out.
GS1 from school this afternoon. We shall come back here as I am going out tonight and that doesn't work when I stay at theirs, I am back too late.
OH and I and a group of friends are going to see Grease at the theatre. Another friend has organised it. It's a rare treat for me to do something that I haven't had to organise! I like organising, but do get tired of always being the one to suggest things and do the work.

                              Have a good day everyone.
