Clover - I read Monty Don's article too - after we'd given our rose a short back and sides! I thought it was a climber, but if it's a rambler then we may have no flowers this summer. OH is currently still chopping the branches into small enough bits to bag up to take to the tip. I don't know why he didn't just put them in the trailer.

Qwerty - pace yourself - you're going to be a busy grandma. I'm sure the twins will be very excited about their sleepover.

Enfys - the sun has disappeared here as well. But it's nice to get out and do a bit of tidying up - hopefully not on your knees. xx

Mimi - I don't know how you do it - looking so glamorous, doing washing and cooking a Sunday roast. You're definitely our Wonder Woman.

Plant - I'm sure MIL will reach the best decision for herself, but it's understandable that her children want to be involved in the decision making.

We're just having a sandwich for lunch, and I'll cook tonight. I also need to make a cake and finish off the bara brith which has been 'brewing' for 24 hours. I'm enjoying have the Kenwood mixer - it's so much easier.

        Enjoy your meal Enfys

We still have sunshine here atm, resisting the temptation to go out and garden.

GS had lots of stories, games, cuddles and his lunch. He declined to go and play in the garden!
GD came back proudly wearing her Green Belt

Gem - congratulations to your GD on passing her grading. She's doing very well, so she must be enjoying it. GS2 must have been a very happy little boy.

Enfys - what did GD cook? I was wondering if she had brought any recipes back from Australia.

Plant - did you have a rest this afternoon?

Qwerty - I hope the twins have settled down ok tonight.

I've had a busy day. I looked the pile of ironing in the eye and attacked about half of it with the hot hissy thing. Then a friend called round so I was able to switch the hissy thing off with a clear conscience and sit and have a chat over a coffee. OH chopped up all the rose prunings and I tidied the edge of that boarder up and helped with the sweeping up. Then I cleared out the raised beds where I grow tomatoes and pruned a couple of small hebes that were invading. After lunch we took Eva up to the paddock and she had a really good run round. We had a quick chat with the friend who owns the paddock, hearing about his skiing trip. He's at least 81 and fit as a fiddle. Then back home and I got stuck in to cooking and baking. I made bara brith and a sponge cake, plus bread, and cooked pork medallions in honey and balsamic vinegar, with onions and garlic. Crushed, buttered new potatoes and steamed veggies. Oh, and I remembered to feed the cats - all three were waiting in the hall for me, and I wasn't late! I'm sure they're feeling the cold so I gave them extra again.

It's an early start for me tomorrow, and I think I'll probably bring the girls and cooper back here for the day.

Daisy, that was one heck of a busy day for you.
Those cats will be putting weight on if you keep giving them extra.

Nana,it's easy to get behind in the chat on here.

Braising steak, onions and mushrooms in the slow cooker.
Will have cheesy mash and veggies with it.

Sunshine and showers forecast for us today.

                          Good morning ladies.

Daisy, what a busy day you had yesterday.
DD3 used to tell us off for feeding her cat extra Now she has been with her foster mums since last June, having treats, I think she will be twice her size!!
                          Cheesy mash Nan2, yum!
Thanks everyone for the congratulations for GD's karate grading. She looked proud. DD said GD was nervous just before, then did well.

                          It's a sunny morning here.
I am going to see my mum this afternoon. Fingers crossed it goes well.

                          Have a good Monday.

Bowls as usual this afternoon, must get some dusting done today.

Good luck Gemini, after last time you must be wondering what her moans are today.

Have a good day everyone, no sunshine for us today.

OH's car has gone into garage. Red light keeps showing and nobody seems to know why! So we wait for call to tell us what's wrong ( hopefully). No doubt it will be expensive!

No plans for this week, so I should be able to get on with household things, but............I'm sure I can find something to distract me!

Had a day at the coast on Friday in beautiful sunshine. However, I was in agony on Saturday after all the walking I did. Roll on 8th March and I can do things without feeling like an old woman the next day. OK, I know I am on old woman, but I like to pretend I'm not.

Sun was shining earlier, but it's heavy rain now, maybe I will have to tackle household things. OH has kindly cleaned the roasting tin from yesterday's roast chicken, so that's nice and shiny now!

Message from DD.......poor old doggo is finding his sleep interrupted by the seagulls!

Enjoy your day ladies whatever you're up to.

p.s. My potato growing kit has arrived and I'm now chitting the seed potatoes. Sound very knowledgeable don't I ?
