    Good morning everyone.

WG - I hope you enjoyed your Burns Night as much as we did! Did you manage to get to the ham? Take it easy with your poorly back. You lucky girl, tea at McD's. My OH treats me to a Big Mac sometimes as well - so romantic.

Oma - I'm sorry you had another sleepless night. I have to confess I didn't know you could strip down cooker hoods. Enjoy your day.

Gem - the theatre tour sounds very interesting, and definitely a nice reward for all the decorating you're doing.

Nanto - it's very windy here, as well.

Plant - your poor friend, that sounds horrendous. She sounds very brave and I do hope she's soon well enough to go home.

Mimi - did you manage more than cat naps last night?

Nothing much planned for us today, apart from exciting chores like washing and portioning up some dog food.

Forgot to say , seen Bohemian Rhapsody last night , really enjoyed it , Didn't think I would as I wasn't sure about the one that played Freddie , the one who played him in the Documentary looked so like him , but after about 15 mins it didn't seem too bad

We really enjoyed it too Oma. I said to OH that I must be the only person who had no idea that Freddie Mercury was Asian until I saw that film!

Morning all a bit chilly , snap Oma we watched it last night too and I wasn’t sure about the chap playing him but eventually I did think it was him, he seemed for all his talent a sad man I thought , I still miss him.
Quiet day here , enjoy your day whatever is happening , Sunday roast for us today

            Morning all.
Our cat is still up to her hyper actives in the early hours of the morning, so much in fact that we didn't wake till 20 past 9 this morning. We are normally up and about by 8
Its a dry but very cold day here and dare I say it...… so far this winter we haven't had as much as one single snowflake ….there I've said it now I suppose we are doomed !

I would love to see Bohemian Rhapsody but OH isn't keen so I will wait till it comes on Sky or Amazon Prime, knowing my luck it will be on Netflix !

Have a good day every one

Lovely sunny morning, if the sun stays out I might get in the garden, that is might! We are going to a Raymond Blanc restaurant this afternoon to finish off celebrating Sil's birthday, got to decide what to wear.

Had a look at that hotel Daisy it looks lovely, would love a few days there and some spa treatments.

Have a lovely day everyone, hope the non-sleepers got some sleep.

Well we haven't managed to go to Martin's ,I fell asleep on the sofa at 12 was just closing my eyes for 5 mins , I woke about 10 mind ago . While I was asleep B text Martin to say he was leaving me sleeping as I was sound and snoring ,
I'm pleased he did as I feel sluggish now and a bit heavy headed .

Mimi could puss have Dementia ? My old neighbour had a cat with it and the Vet told her to keep it in one room so it didn't get confused about it's surroundings . It would wander from room to room howling and forgot it had been fed so would cry for food too

                      Good afternoon.

There is a really icy wind here today so only half an hour’s walk for us this morning.

Oma you obviously needed that sleep!
Gem enjoy the theatre trip, sounds very interesting
Plant are you going for afternoon tea ?

After a sunny morning it has come over grey and cold and the wind is biting. We were going for a walk along the river, but once we'd got out of the courtyard, decided that a walk round the village would be enough! Rain in the wind too.

Burns Supper was a success last night with a piper and toasts and singing. Not forgetting whisky and wine and shortbread! No haggis for me, I had ham! Pleased you enjoy your celebration too Daisy! Met a lady who I used to volunteer with many years ago, so it was nice to have a chat.

Mimi...friends of ours have a lovely, very old cat who not only has dementia but is profoundly deaf. He forgets he's been fed and been out and to hear him mewing is something else! He's such a nice old boy though and allowed us to share the sofa when we stayed with them.

I have just spent time sorting out OH's medication. He's got pill box thing for the week, but since the nurse put him back on the Metformin, he's got it in a right old mess. Not only that he's got about 3 packets of the same drug on the go! I have taken a firm hand and got rid of pills he doesn't recognise and decanted others into one packet. Tomorrow, we are putting the pills he needs each day and he's not to refill until the week is up.....on pain of death!

                        Keep warm everyone x

Wee Granny we have noticed that once in a while she does seem to forget how to use the cat flap, which by the way she refuses to open it herself when she wants to go out but she will open it from the outside to come back in ....that’s when she sometimes forgets how to use it . She sits staring at it waiting for inspiration!

WeeGranny - it's amazing how complicated multiple medications can get. Well done for sorting it all out for your OH.

Glad your Burns Supper was such a success.

It must be very hard coping with an elderly cat who has dementia, or is just getting forgetful - especially about food, Mimi.

Oma - I'm glad you managed to catch up on some sleep - you certainly needed it.

Plant - I hope your enjoyed your afternoon tea today.

I've been quite productive today - done several loads of washing, portioned up dog food, ordered next month's dog food, made a banana cake, changed our bed, cooked dinner and am now getting ready for next week.

It's been cold here today with a biting wind howling round all day. Even Eva didn't want to go out!

                            Sleep well everyone.

Lovely time at the restaurant, we all had starters and main course, mainly roasts. Then we came back for cake, back to normal and diet tomorrow.

Just managed to read through your posts.... a lot, so can't comment on all. Plant, I must comment on your very brave friend tho'. What a wonderful strong woman she must be.

WeeG I have a lot of medicines to take & sometimes a dose would be halved, doubled or changed by the dr. Medicines were lasting the month while others didn't. I told the chemist I was getting mixed up so she suggested me starting the Nomad scheme.

Since then It's been great. If anyone's not heard of it the chemist makes them up (for a month's worth) in blister packs for a week. They then deliver four x weekly blister packs each month. I don't get mixed up now. Just a thought.

Crown for GD's birthday on Friday almost finished.
